This gym is ok. Lots of stuff is always broken and out of service. Beware the locker rooms. People will steal your stuff. And the gym doesn’t care. Will simply tell you not our problem.

Great customer service. I was visiting family on active duty military leave and they hooked me up with a gust pass for the week. I attempted to workout at planet fitness first but they denied any sort of week long pass. All they could offer was 20 $/day!!! Ridiculous… especially during memorial weekend… you’d think they could of At least lowered the price per day. Planet fitness should be moved to Korea where they’d fit in. Anyways, Golds gym is great. Highly recommend signing up. They offer many group classes as well it looks like. If you enjoy a nice cold beer, sunshine, and freedom join Golds Gym.

I came here from Los Angeles to work out and they are the worst customer service I have ever experienced. First of all, it’s 35 for the week to work out there. Fine. No problem. They could care less about showing me around the gym or helping me with questions regarding their facilities. All they were concerned with is that I sign their waiver and now i know why. I used the one dated precor they had in the cinema work out room that used to be cool but now it seems like the screen is failing and dated(the picture was blurry). After that I went to use a «slam ball» that i have used hundreds of times at my gym in LA. After running on the archaic precor for an hour i went to use a slam ball that read 15 pounds(i thought it seemed light but it read 15 pounds and my adreline must be running). It wasn’t. It hit me in the face so hard I thought I broke my nose. I went to the front desk and the dimwit of a front desk girl could have cared less. I told her that I wanted to see a trainer and I thought I broke my nose using this ball(maybe if they gave two craps about their customers and had shown me around I would have known better, but they don’t) She told me I had to make an appointment. Seriously? To have someone just look at my nose? Then I talked to some snot nosed punk of a «manager» who actually laughed at me. LAUGHED when I was crying and telling him I think my nose was broken. I will never go back there. I will never go to Golds in LA or anywhere ever. I hate this place. The only reason they even get 2 stars is because i did do the les mills workout and the woman(lucy?) was nice and funny but the rest of the staff are complete jerks. Management is poor and rude. STAYAWAY I’m mad I paid 35 bucks for 2 workouts at that horrible establishment.

Gold’s Gym advertises that your membership will work at Winchester VA, Martinsburg WV, or Hagerstown MD. However they expect you to work out at your primary«home» gym. The gym in Charles Town WV, will actually request your driver’s license until your ready to leave. The Gold’s Gym in Myrtle Beach SC, has no such provisions. Ultimately the functionality of your membership is dependent on the GM of your local Gold’s Gym. The Gold’s Gym in Hagerstown is top notch. The gym is really nice and the equipment is modern and the gym has a nice flow to it. The gym is really nice considering the low membership costs of $ 19.99 per month. The manger seems like he genuinely cares about fitness and the layout of his gym. The largest problem with the gym is that it is over crowded. The gym was a lot more fun before everyone in Hagerstown decided to get a membership. The large membership enrollment is starting to show up in «wear and tear» of the gym.

The best Kid’s club — it has a jungle gym, a half court gym, a tv room, and is well-staffed by really nice folks(very good ratio of children to adults during the day, evening is a little more chaotic with the older kids being there). Great prices, excellent equipment– there’s a women’s area, cinema room(where they play movies all day), and a great open area with good air circulation. classes are great– Zumba EVERYDAY, there’s a separate yoga room and spinning room, and the personal trainer I’ve worked with(Danielle) is really personable and motivating.
I swear I don’t work here– my family and I just really enjoy this gym! PS: the other gym we compared with this the YMCA down the road. For me, the pool time for families were inadequate and the«kids watch» doesn’t even come close to the kids club at gold’s. see for yourself!
