I’ve yet to get a tattoo done here, but you can bet I definitely plan to. I have, however, gotten several piercings done here, including my septum piercing which scared me the most of all the ones I’ve gotten. But even with a childhood injury that I thought would hinder my ability to get one, the process was smooth and I was made to feel like they cared about me as a person. Everyone at this location is a true professional, and I have recommended Old Line many times with the knowledge whoever goes to this shop will have a great experience.

Such a great parlor! I got my septum pierced here by Jake and it could not have been a more pleasant experience! I came in yesterday just to check to pricing and jewelry and the man at the front desk was so nice and helpful. He explained exactly what the process would be and how much everything would cost in a way that made me feel comfortable and excited about my piercing. I came back today and Jake did the actual piercing. He was so nice and made me feel totally comfortable. He explained everything in great detail and really made me feel relaxed about the fact that I was getting a needle shoved through my nose. Once he had marked everything out I laid down on the table and he explained every step, had me take a deep breath, and then BAM! Piercing done! He definitely got the «sweet spot» and I hardly felt any pain. Jake explained his reasoning behind every step and in the end I am so so pleased. My piercing is placed beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with the result or my experience! I would feel totally comfortable going back to get anything else pierced.

This is a great place! They are professional, courteous, and talented! Their facilities are scrupulously clean and they clearly took care to follow safe and hygienic practices. I absolutely love my tattoo. The color is vibrant and the design exactly what I wanted. Dave took the time to walk me through the process and his design of my idea. I’m extremely pleased and will definitely come back here again.

The shop and front staff was very nice. However, I was disappointed with my experience when I went in for my 2^nd consult. After having provide numerous guidance and several references on the tattoo I wanted done during the first consult and between the 2^nd, the concept drawing was not true to the character nor have followed the guidance I had provided. I had requested Dave for his great work but I felt he treated my body as a canvas for him than care about what I will live with for the rest of my life. During the 2^nd consult, he got really short and complained how long it took him to draw up the concept and didn’t remember much of what we had discussed or what I had provided. I just felt at that moment he was not the right artist as he cared more for what he wanted than staying true to the meaning of the tattoo and inserted random suggestion and pieces that degrade the integrity. Overall the shop is very nice but after a month of excitement and high hopes it ended in disappointment and back to square one.

I cannot speak for the tattoo side of Olde Line, but Victor, the head piercer, is absolutely AMAZING! I went on Sunday for my first non-«traditional» piercing after being sent his way via a phone scavenger hunt. I was looking for an experienced piercer to do a triangle and the place I’d chosen in DC (which is more of my metro area) based on reputation and Unilocal reviews was not able to do it due to lack of experience with this difficult piercing… The head piercer there told me to call the head piercer at another place in Fairfax, VA. This guy could’ve done it, but he was moving and it was his last day and too late to fit me in… At his urging I called Victor at Olde Line. I’ll be quick to admit that my initial reaction to his recommendation, was «I live near DC and you want me to go to Hagerstown for a difficult piercing!!!» I don’t care so much about the drive, but I lived in Hagerstown for several years and to be honest, of my five tattoos, not one was done there and that was by choice. The fact that this place is in the mall weirded me out even more… but as he’d been so highly recommended and I found great reviews on the studio, I decided to call.
I talked to Victor on the phone Saturday evening and we spoke about what I wanted as well as his experience performing it and potential problems. Victor was very honest that he’d only done 8 triangles and would only do it if he was 110% comfortable with my anatomy (if you know what a triangle is, you know what I’m saying LOL). We agreed that I’d come on Sunday to be evaluated and get my other piercing (I was getting a Monroe as well) and if my anatomy permitted and he felt comfortable, he’d do my triangle — if not, he’d do a VCH. He then quoted me prices which were awesome compared to the places I’d already checked. On Sunday, I showed up as planned… Victor evaluated me first to make sure I was suited for what I wanted and told me that even though I was, my nerve was so close that he didn’t feel comfortable and would give me the info for another piercer who could definitely do it. I decided to go ahead and have the VCH done and the planned Monroe.
Victor really took the time to make sure that I understood the procedure, the healing, and care. I didn’t feel rushed or like a bother. I was super nervous about the VCH but he really did an INCREDIBLE job… I’d be lying to say it didn’t hurt at all, but the pain was nowhere near the level I’d anticipated. I’ve had waxes worse than this. When he knew that I was «recovered» from the first piercing, he did the Monroe. He let me rest for a few minutes to ensure that I wasn’t dizzy or shaky and then allowed me to get dressed and reiterated care instructions. He ensured that I knew when to come back to get the post changed on the Monroe (they use a longer one to account for any swelling and then change it when swelling has passed). He also gave me his cell number so that I could call or text with any questions that came up… I’m so glad he did this because the next day, I had questions that I hadn’t thought to ask or had forgotten the answers to.
Yesterday I sent him a text asking my questions and again he was more than patient and answered everything that I needed to know. The Monroe has only swollen slightly and looks perfect. Healing pain has been minimal and total bleeding from both piercings has been less than the tip of a q-​tip. It’s only been two days and I have no problems smiling, eating, sleeping, crossing my legs, or wearing fitted pants. Both of my piercings appear to be perfectly placed and the Monroe was so nicely done that not only have I received many compliments on it, I’m confident that it will not be a problem in my ultra-​conservative, suit and heels work environment. Any other work that I need, I’ll be taking the trek to Hagerstown and I’m sending all of my friends there.

I was very impressed with how professional the shop was. I did not feel rushed or neglected as some shops can make you feel. The gentleman handling the jewelry was very patient with the whole process and decided I only needed a new ball to be put on my existing jewelry but I was treated like I could have been a big ticket order. He explained all the methods they take for sanitary conditions and he was very gentle when fixing my ring. It’s nice to know that people care. Very friendly shop.

I flew all the way from Atlanta to get tattoo’d by Dave Kruseman. He is the best artist on the globe. Kim runs that shop like Warren Buffett.

If there was any a time to decide to get a tattoo, this is the place you should go. Owners Dave and Kim are two of the best in the business. Dave is as amazing a tattoo artist as you will ever find and Kim knows the value of good customer service. Originally the owners of Yours Truly Tattoo in Atlanta, Dave and Kim decided to bless Hagerstown with their talent and true commitment to the art of good tattooing and treating each customer as if they were family.
In other words, you would be crazy to go elsewhere. They will make you feel like family, not just a piece of skin.
