We stopped in one evening to see what we thought of the food and service. We got the food to go and when we got home and ate it we were very surprised how good everything tasted. We have been back and will continue to do so!

Delicious Peruvian chicken and sides — you can’t go wrong here. We were hosting a dinner for 6 adults so we ordered two whole chicken meals (comes with 6 sides) and fed everyone with leftovers for only $ 40. Chicken is so moist and amazing flavor! Plantains are a must as well!

I returned a couple months ago to give this place another shot. They are much, much better with all my favorites. The chicken was great, plantains were well ripened, and the veggies were good. I hope they keep up the good work!

Pollo Loco is not a bad place to catch a quick bite to eat. The burritos & salad were more that accommodating to help cure my hunger. The lettuce and burrito was fresh and the service was also spot on.

I have visited twice and found the quality lacking both times. The chicken was dry and dusty and the lomo was tough an mostly gristle and connective tissue. The sides were equally poorly cared for, as they were room temperature and border line stale. Prices are surprisingly high as well. In my opinion this place is a pass.

So. We were starving and needed a place to eat and stumbled upon this chicken joint. I read the Unilocal review and decided that I would be safe with a salad. The guys went all out with a half of chicken, plantains and yucca. Needless to say
Their meals were yucca. Never again

Food is good. charcoal is used in the oven to give the chicken a good flavor. Need to know what you want when you walk up to the counter, the menu board is a little confusing if you are a new customer, maybe just trial and error to figure it all out! Not the cheapest lunch around, a ½ chicken (on the smaller side) and two sides is $ 9.99 without a drink. You can get a whole rotisserie chicken at Martins ½ mile away for 4.99 but of course the flavor is not as good. I have had the combination special and it is good too. Portions are good size.

Never again. tried for first time. poor customer service. bought a coupon off of
had to buy $ 30 of food to get $ 15 off. they refused the coupon saying the site just put them on there without permission. I called the site
does not put anyone on there without an agreement. so I had to pay full price for rather generic cafeteria style food. Shame on you Pollo Loco for lying!!! Live and learn!

This is a great place to eat, very fresh food and clean. Good value for your money. Friendly staff & helpful in what you’re ordering. I’m a regular customer couple times a week because I can’t get enough of the flavor of the chicken.

Best chicken in town. For those who haven’t noticed, no its not Mexican. It’s Peruvian chicken which tastes nothing like Mexican food. Quick service, friendly, clean, not expensive. And lots of food for the price.

They’re a quick chicken joint that had a good seasoning and some nice side sauces. Freshness depends on time of day. But it’s good taste for value.

I come here at least once every week. The staff is friendly and the food is incredible. The chicken is flavorful and juicy. The house rice is superb, as are the fried plantains. I recommend the yellow sauce to dip the chicken into. They offer many side options, in Hagerstown, I think it’s the best chicken you can get.

I tried Pollo Loco for the first time tidy free doing several drive-​bys. I ordered the House Combination Rice — was surprised that it wasn’t your typical rice dish. Shame on me for not realizing what I was ordering but I have to say it was a very pleasant surprise. The portion was huge and the shrimp (only two unfortunately), chicken and beef were all fantastic. The staff was very pleasant and the restaurant was spotless. I will definitely come back and bring the family for a casual meal — great choice!

The food is not bad. The employees are friendly but they need to be a little more concerned about food presentation and possibly cleanliness. Some of it just doesn’t look appetizing after being uncovered for God knows how long. Sardis in Frederick is probably a better choice.

Delicious Peruvian chicken! There’s nothing fancy about Pollo Loco, it’s just good fresh grilled chicken. Don’t come here expecting a ‘fine restaurant experience.’ It’s counter service and seat yourself.
We had the Chicken Salad, House Combination Rice & Chico’s Nachos.
They LOAD on the grilled chicken. Just wow! So good! Thumbs up guys!

We tried this restaurant when it first opened. All I can say is that the whole experience was just mediocre. My food had a nice flavor, but it was nothing special. My wife got a salad which seemed very basic. It kind of looked like they took a head of lettuce, chopped it a few times and threw it in a bowl. Prices are on par with what I would expect. But nothing would make we want to go back. Limited menu, few choices for sides.

Great chicken. It is seasoned well and is moist and juicy. The sides are also great. I would recommend the yuca and sweet fries plantains! Fast service.
