Éclair was pretty good but the key lime tart was excellent. Also had a iced chai tea that was good, but could have been spicier. Free wifi and friendly service.

This is one of the best places in Hagerstown. The staff is very friendly. The sandwiches are to die for. The French pastries are second to none of just love this place. Go visit when you are near Robinwood medical center or HCC

Overview: Cute little bakery tucked into a small strip mall offering sandwiches, soups, and a variety of pastries and breads. Food: I’ve only visited once and purchased a small loaf of bread with dried fruit inside. It was similar to a pannetone and I really loved it. The bread was moist and had plenty of fruit. My friend purchased a small fruit tart and said she really liked it. She also ordered a mocha, which she liked although it was extremely sweet. Their other offerings looked pretty good but I had just eaten and wanted something for later. I’d check it out again. Recommend: The breads and pastries seem a solid option. Atmosphere: Smallish but with plenty of seating. Everything seemed clean. Service: We were the only patrons in the bakery at the time and the gentleman at the counter was very kind when explaining what they had to offer.

Nothing has changed. Just get rid of the espresso machine. It’s obvious that no one knows what to do with it. You know it’s bad when you wish a Starbucks would take its place.

Everyone seems to Rave about this bakery and I don’t see the hype. Horrible. Small selection, nothing exciting, stale and bland. I’m from NYC so maybe my expectations are too high. Honestly, i rather go to Martins for pastry!

Went here with a friend for late lunch. I got the turkey BLT. Once I removed the bacon and tomato from the sandwich it was really good. The tomato was kind of mushy and past its prime, and the bacon was precooked and had a slight greasy flavor that I did not care for. What was left was turkey, Gouda, and field greens on toasted french bread, which was very good. My friend ordered the butternut squash soup, hot chai, and fruit tart, and enjoyed it all. The soup was flavorful. I also picked up a few bakery items to go. A cinnamon roll with pecans that was quite hard, butter cookies that are light and yummy, and a Napoleon pastry that is perfect with flaky layers, delicious Crème filling, and perfectly frosted. There is some room for improvement, but I would definitely go back and give them another try.

I called a few days ahead of time to see if they could do a Mickey and Minnie cake for my niece & nephew’s birthday party. They said they could. When I went to pick it up, it was just a printed screen placed over a sheet cake. The printing was discolored. The cake actually read«Happy Bithday»! When I asked them about the misspelling they said«oh, did you want that fixed?». They«fixed» it by cutting out the misspelling and using icing to write the words in. They then proceeded to charge me full price! If I wasn’t on my way to the party, I would’ve stopped at a grocery store to pick up a cake. To top it off, it wasn’t even a good cake. It tasted like a box mix, but it was dry.

I find myself thinking of Safron’ s Almondine tarts a few times a week. The roast beef pesto sandwich is to die for as well.

What I had here is really good. The bread is definitely artisan made and that is fine. The only reason I gave it three stars instead of five is that as a vegetarian I have a limited number of selections and I have grown tired of the same choices. It is establishments such as these where I can normally find unique fare that I cannot find in standard restaurants. Wrap, panini, salad… repeat. The staff however is friendly and helpful.

Not huge fan of this place. While it’s not horrible, it’s not worth coming back too either. They made my wedding cake and I was incredibly disappointed. First off they didn’t have the cake completed on time. Then it looked nothing like I wanted! It was suppose to have dark chocolate butter cream frosting and it was the color of milk chocolate. Then I want gum paste flowers and they used silk. It was a great price, but you get what you pay for!

The bake goods are very tasty but the interior does need updated. The outside seating is plentiful and very comfortable to enjoy the tasty treats and coffee. I had a taste for wedding cake and they had some by the piece with strawberry filling which was very good. Service is very helpful and kind hearted with numerous suggestions for my sweet fix.

Safron Bakery is located write next to my gym and at first I thought it was just a bakery. Walking by I noticed people sitting and eating so I stopped in after my workout. Safron also offers paninis, salads and smoothies. I had a salad and it was delicious. Priced are fairly proced around $ 6-$ 8 so thats a plus. I do wish my salad was bigger, but that could have been because I was starving after the gym. Free wifi is great if your looking to do some morning work while enjoying a coffe. Their baked good looked incredible and smelled the same. I didn’t get one but they had some free samples on the counter which I gave a try… two thumbs up! Overall I would give 4 stars!

Ok, another spot which will need a «update» visit in the near future! Stopped in and grabbed a coffee and scanned the bakery for a future visit! Free Wifi and an AMAZING selection of baked goods! Their menu although small with Panini’s, Salads, Baked Goods and Desserts is FANTASTIC! I’ll be back within in week to give an update! Maybe tomorrow morning for coffee and fresh baked bagels! They open early! *** UPDATE **** Cookies and Owners are Fabulous, stil haven’t dined in but it’s on the list! Hubby and I stop in frequently just to grab some yummy cookies!
