The Sheetz location is decent for the region. The local populace reminded me of West Virginia people with their flannel shirts and trucker hats(Hillbilly). The Sheetz on Maugans Ave has a slight better category of clientele. The food is decent and the staff is friendly.

3 letters. MTO! I love Sheetz. Get some gas. Order a sandwich from the MTO machine and you are set.

Today at 225pm, we stopped at the Hagerstown sheetz store 184. A few miles down the road, we realized there was some major issues with 2 of our sandwiches. One order was a bacon pretzel melt with pepper jack cheese, mayo and lettuce. What I received had no mayo, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, tomatoes, and 2 different types of onions. Plus the roll is burnt. Then we opened the steak sub. There was a goopy pink substance on the inside of the bread that my brother in law said tasted like hand soap. He ended up having to throw his sandwich out completely because he was afraid to eat it. I’m so mad we didn’t have time to turn around because we live 3.5 hours away!

My name is Steph, and I’m a Sheetz junkie. I had never heard of Sheetz until I went to college in central PA back in 1996. My love affair quickly ensued. Cheap gas and cheap, tasty food! This location was pretty good. We actually ended up eating our oh-so-expensive dinner at a picnic table on the sidewalk abutting the parking lot. Another couple was eating at the table next to us. No bad car fumes either though they were busy. Company wide, Sheetz introduced pizzas and currently have a promo where you get a one topping pizza and a 2 liter bottle of Coke for 4.99 plus tax. After a busy day shopping the nearby outlets, we decided to go this route. It was SO good! Seriously, it was tasty. The pizza was cut into 6 slices and well, you know how many drinks you get out of a 2 liter bottle of Coke. If you want additional toppings, it’s $ 1 a topping. Many topping available, since they’re the same ingredients they use for their subs and salads. We took a cup, lid and straw from the soda fountain to pour our soda in. Oh, they had chilled soda and warm soda(more options warm). I only wish it would’ve been Pepsi products, but I’m not a big soda drinker so it wasn’t a deal breaker. I went back in to order a sub to eat later and while paying for it, I signed up for a free shopper card that will get me $ 0.3 off a gallon of gas, I’ll accrue points and they’ll send me emails. Sounds good! Why doesn’t this location get five stars? Because they don’t have a sit down eating area inside(not many do!) and because there are no locations near me! I LOVESHEETZ!

What annoyed me most about this Sheetz is that they have a logo sign at the exit from I-70 but they’re WAAAAAAAY off the interstate. So far that when I went to go and find the Sheetz, I almost turned around to go back to the Pilot that was right at the exit. For a Sheetz it was about average. If you’re just coming through off of I-70/I-68, don’t go out of your way, the Pilot right at the exit is an equally good choice. But if you’re on the National Pike this isn’t a bad place to stop at all… and to be fair, the gas was about $ 0.03 cheaper than the Pilot, but I probably burned enough gas to cancel out the savings from the highway.
