There is few places in Hagerstown to eat that are worth it… This is my second time here because it is pretty good. Price point of lunch with water is just under $ 10 and there seems to be a place to sit. Staff is friendly and food is good. Give it a try :)

This place is good. It’s BYOB get the crispy salty shrimp. The prices are reasonable.

Phenomenal pad Thai. Spicy, flavorful, and a good portion for lunch. Only minor complaint is the lunch plates are quite small for the large portion they give you.

Almost everything was spicy. The fried banana was gross. It was battered instead of rolled in a rice wrapper.

I came here recently, and really liked the food! For an appetizer, I had the Siam Dumplings(crab, shirimp, chicken etc wrapped into one-inch dumplings with a dipping sauce that goes well with it). For my lunch, I got the chicken paneng. I really liked the paneng sauce here. It is a darker sauce than other paneng I’ve had, and it was quite delicious. It is a peanut and coconut-based sauce. It can be made as spicy or less spicy depending on one’s preferences. I also had the Thai Iced Tea(who can go to a Thai restaurant and not get this!). Overall I was happy with the food and I will be back when I’m in that area! Additionally, their menu is on their website, so you can check it out before you go.

Excellent food! and service! The staff are very welcoming. We had the Spring Rolls and Golden Triangles for appetizers. Delicious! Best I’ve ever had. We’ve had nearly all the entrees. All are full of flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Ordered takeout: crispy basil duck, pad Thai shrimp, papaya salad. All very good, especially the salad. Everything seemed to be prepared with care, with just the right spice. Will come again.

Second time here. Very tasty food. Extremely friendly service. I had called in an order. Upon arrival I was told they had no duck. Knowing the process that involves making dick, I didn’t mind changing my order. I appreciated them being honest and not serving something that was below standard quality. We’ll definitely be back.

I’ve driven past this place several times and I’ve heard great things. I decided to stop for lunch. I walk in, several patrons are eating — but no sign of staff. Finally, someone emerges from the kitchen and I ask, «is it self seating»… no answer. I ask again, just a smile and a friendly«Welcome». So, I grab a menu and seat myself. I order spring rolls and Tom Yum soup w/shrimp to start. The rolls come out promptly but are very greasy. The Tom Yum soup is hot and flavorful — but they have added cherry tomatoes. I have had the soup in many cities and never had tomatoes. It changes the broth and not in a good way. Alas, the rice dish is mundane. The waitress seems nice enough, however, she rushes me the check(not giving me a warm fuzzy feeling). Overall, I see no reason to visit again. I’ll try something new on my next trip to Hagerstown.

Fabulous gem. Some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had and the staff were so kind. Highly recommend. Incredibly flavorful dishes.

Average/adequate Thai food. Nothing special, but is fine if you are craving Thai. Has most of the expected dishes and a few new ones.

We picked this place based on prior reviews on Unilocal as we drove back home on a long weekend. Lunch time was quite as it was a national holiday. The place is very clean and tidy and is located in the historic district. Staff is courteous and polite. The chicken satay came with peanut sauce poured on the chicken and not separately. We forgot to tell the hostess about peanut allergy. Overall, had a good experience.

Seriously great! I’m here now by myself-literally no one else is in here but the workers and me and I cannot understand why! It came out in 5 minutes hot and delicious and I’m very glad I came here

Was just passing by Hagerstown on our way to Frederick Md and we thought we would Unilocal for Thai Restaurants. Found Thai Zap. Food was excellent in both freshness, flavor and portion size. Would definitely go there again if we are in the area.

We had dinner here on a weeknight and though it was slow and quiet inside, the food was amazing! More young couples started to trickle in as it got later. The décor is pretty modern with an asian twist. There isn’t a lot of seating so you may want to call for reservations in advance on a weekend. We had the Pad Thai, Red Curry with chicken, and Panang Curry. All were very delicious, a bit on the sweet side but also a bit of spice. I would have liked a few more vegetables as I like a good balance between meat, rice and veg. The portion sizes are decent, especially the Pad Thai, and we had leftovers to take home. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, they have better Thai food than any of the places in Baltimore City!

Tried this place after finding on Unilocal. Ordered the Crispy Basil Duck and Garden Rolls. Rolls were good size and didn’t disappoint. The Duck was very good.

I have eaten at Thai Zap half a dozen times and it’s all been good, The Pad Thai is one of my favorites. My only issue is I keep asking for it VERYSPICY and at best it is medium. I love Thai food, but I also want it good and spicy(make me sweat please…) I like the salad with peanut sauce, always nice and fresh.

Even on a slow Monday night they had great food. Check out the chef specials menu for a nice house twist. The Kow Pow was a perfect blend of red and yellow curry.
