Studio Chiropractic

Dr. Kourtney Knox at Studio Chiropractic is like no other chiropractor from whom I have received treatment. Instead of being forceful in her adjustments, she works with the body and incrementally moves it back into a state of well-​being. This is not a means of keeping a client returning more often; other chiropractic doctors practicing more intense adjustments need their clients to return with great frequency. Instead, this is a way for the body to actually heal without trauma and shock.
On a first visit, Dr. Knox sits with clients (privately) to discuss any health issues they may be experiencing, not limited to the skeletal structure and muscular system as she knows the systems of the body do not exist independently from one another.
After the initial consult, Dr. Knox treats the patient in the treatment room upstairs. There are 5 tables, as this allows her to treat more clients at once. As no clothing removal is necessary for treatment, this is an acceptable practice. However, should a client prefer a private treatment, that can be arranged. Moving between patients also gives the body time to relax, and become aware of the adjustments that have been made.
The treatment room is quiet, cool, and calming. Gentle music (though not elevator music) plays softly, and sometimes the soothing scents of essential oils fill the space. I will admit to having fallen asleep a couple of times, but Dr. Knox’s touch brought me back to my body and outside awareness.
The waiting room is comfortable, with cool water and hot tea available. The bathroom is clean and tidy. There is another, small treatment room downstairs used by other body healers. During the week, outside of treatment hours, the upstairs room is used for yoga and pilates classes.
Celeste, the administrative assistant, is quite amiable and ready to schedule your next appointment and answer any questions you may have.
I can’t believe I didn’t know Studio Chiropractic was here for so long. I am glad I do now.

So so good. Kourtney and her staff are wonderful. I saw her while I was pregnant and preparing for my home birth. She helped me immensely. I never had any back pain or back labor. Everything went wonderfully and I truely believe she had a lot to do with it.

I was having neck and lumbar aches, so went to Dr. Knox. She adjusted me and fixed my problems. I immediately started feeling better. I am grateful ! What I liked most about her was the fact that she talked me through every step of the adjustment, easing my fears about being adjusted.

Dr. Knox knows her stuff! So happy to have found a great chiropractor in the neighborhood.

Studio chiropractic has been the greatest gift for my children and I. Kourtney is very skilled with kids adjustments as well as adults. I love her hands on attention and ability to pick up on every subtlety that goes on my system. My adjustments are always so profound. I leave feeling like I’ve had an hour of bodywork. I also love that I can bring my kids and they can color while I have a session if they are with me. We all leave feeling «adjusted», thank you Kourtney!

Dr. Kourtney Knox is so amazing! I am blown away that someone so small can move such huge energy. She is extremely intuitive and thorough… not letting any little subluxation slip through the cracks. I leave breathing better, laughing easier, seeing more clearly, having improved digestion and having so much less pain in my body. She opens me up and clears my nervous system, bringing me back to balance. I also love Celeste and Melinda, the place is comfortable and relaxing too.

I had gotten thrown by a rogue wave and was smashed down on the bottom on my sacrum. It felt like I hit concrete. I went to Dr. Kourtney and she worked her magic on my back. She was very present and warm during the initial consultation and listened to my concerns. After four sessions, my back felt better than it had even before the injury. Her skill and intuition are superb and I always walked out of the session feeling grounded and centered and truly cared for. Every member of the office radiates warmth, and compassion. Not all people in these professions are true healers, but the women at Studio Chiropractic most definitely are.

Kourtney Knox is an amazing chiropracter !! She’s very gentle and knowledgable and highly effective of clearing any blockages, densities and contractions in my body. I would recommend her to anybody.
