The only thing that caught my eye here was… The SUGARCANE sticks! I was so excited to try it, coming from Alaska and for being Filipino just takes me back to my childhood days when that was like one of the best things I could ever ask for. Then it crushed my dreams, the canes were not as juicy as I hoped for but that’s okay my friend I was with had never tried it and it was cool to him. Besides that, I was a little concern about their prices for everything then there’s no surprise there because it is… Hawaii so it kind of make sense then again for a stick? For $ 3?okay. Fair enough. If you hiked for so long then maybe this place would be a good stop for you to grab something quick to go or just chill for a bit on the side. But don’t do what I did and just stop there just to buy a dang 4″ inch bamboo stick.

What a find on the road to Hana! Highly recommend stopping by here and grabbing a coffee or smoothie. Blink and you miss it though.

I didn’t check out the view, but the food is great — fresh cut coconut, candy, crepes. Nice and relaxing place to pull over and take a break.

OMG! Don’t miss out! This place has the best Nutella crêpes on the island. The banana bread is delicious as well.

I got some sort of banana chocolate smoothie that was pretty good. It’s just an easy stop on the road to Hana if you’re craving some fresh fruit and smoothies.

View– not impressive. Apple bananas(5 for $ 2) — ripe and ready to eat. Great buy! Smoothie– can’t remember the name but it was tasty. It had papaya in it.

I stopped at Huelo for a much-needed cuppa joe. What I ended up with was -$ 3 and 10 oz of fairly bland coffee. It wasn’t weak to the point of being translucent, but pretty darn close. Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to try anything else, since a windy storm the night before had knocked out electricity and their banana bread was still mid-bake. Nice plus — they have a free Maui driving map available at the counter. The map doesn’t help much in terms of providing details on where to stop during the drive to Hana, but had neat little comments about major cities all over Maui, markings of all the stop lights(no, literally), and helpful tips about the beaches. Yay maps!

31 Unilocal Review Challenge: 22⁄31 Smart marketing, but kind of a pointless stop. The view is boring so don’t stop here unless you’d like to(1) purchase some fruit or(2) sit on a covered patio.
