This park is a good size, with walking and hiking paths that are well-established and not hard to walk(e.g. not steep). It is in a marsh area, so make sure to use bug repellent(or even better– just specific essential oils like mint or lemongrass— stepping off of my box now). As the name insinuates, there is a long bridge that goes through the park. This bridge is beautiful and I like that nature goes undisturbed beneath it… But if you have a dog that maybe isn’t great with other dogs(like me), it is a narrow place with no escape. Each time I use the bridge I silently pray that there isn’t another dog on the bridge. This park has an extensive interconnected group of trails, a BBQ/pagoda area, a nice playground, water fountain, and clean bathrooms(for a public park anyway). It’s a really nice place to go and walk the dogs, walk and talk on the phone, or just enjoy nature/the outdoors. The Hainesport municipal complex and associated blacktop paths are maybe a 1 – 2 block walk away also, so you can really walk for hours here. Great for kids and adults alike— just please heed my warning regarding insect repellent or you will be dinner for a host of insects.

This is a delightful little park. There is a playground for kids which is really very good. It doesn’t separate the little ones from the bigger ones, but few parks do. There’s a series of walking and bike paths to take through the grounds. None of them are especially great, but they are a very pleasant way to spend a weekend afternoon. I’m not a birder, but friends of mine who are tell me there is some very good bird watching there. It is clean, well ordered, and the bathrooms are about as clean as public restrooms in parks ever get. It is worth your time.

Bridges birds and bikes Long Bridge Park is a 115 acre park that is located in wetlands and tidal marshlands. Several trails wander through the park that are nice for casual bike riding and hiking. There are no steep climbs or difficult parts, although it can get very wet and buggy at times. The park is nice place for bird watching, fishing, a picnic or just a nice stroll through the trees and plants. A cool and very well maintained boardwalk keeps your feet dry during the wet weather. The park also has a nice playground, bathrooms, drinking fountain and plenty of places to park. A pleasant place to visit when you want to get away from all the noise, congestion and chaos that lurks right nearby.
