We frequent this Ace because it is so convenient. That being said, the staff is always friendly, their prices are fair and their selection is really large considering its just an Ace and it’s all the way up here in Haleiwa! Definitely recommend

They’re hit or miss with customer service. Some of them can be nice, others not so much. But today I’m appalled that the young girl with long dirty greasy hair was talking poorly about me to one of her coworkers — all because I was looking for something they didn’t carry and apparently I was looking for a «stupid old item number»(how was I supposed to know??). Then she realized that I was on a close by aisle and said to the guy«oh, she’s right there». Multiple times she’s been SO rude and I live right down the street. Guess it’s time to take my business elsewhere. I’ll come back when she no longer works there.

I can always find what I need when I go there. If I can’t, someone there can immediately find it for me! Instead of sending me off to some random aisle, they personally walk me there, point out the item make sure it is what I need and if not they other options that would work just as well. They have a little of everything. Except plants. I do wish they had plants. But that is OK. customer service has always been spectacular. In my opinion, if your customer service is not a 5 star then neither is your business! You are treated like family when you are there.

Ahhhh… Thanks for saving a very long trip to home depot. I broke a rainbird style sprinkler at the house Tim and I rented on Sunset Beach. Luckily it was just of those«spike» style stick-it-in-the ground kinds. Exactly the kind you’d find at Ace. And, I did find it…$ 7.50 plus tax. Nice! This is a nice big store and looked well organized and well stocked. Check-out was easy, quick.

I want to rip my effing hair out! I haven’t been THIS stressed out since leaving the mainland. All I wanted was some paint. Apparently that was too difficult as it took a deep conversation with no less than 3 people to determine that the brand that was recommended to me wasn’t going to jell with my color choice. However, there was another brand that worked fine with my color choice and room specs. WHY no one bothered to just make life easier and go with that in the first place, I’ll never know. Paint mission completed the next impossible task was checking out. Idiots work the registers and don’t even bother to hide their contempt for helping customers. You know what?! DON’T work in customer service! I didn’t hire you or force you to work in such circumstances. Neither did grandpa or uncle behind me. We WANT to give you our money and I’m pretty sure I could ring myself up if I felt that would be acceptable. It took me 10 minutes in line when the person in front of me had already paid. Unacceptable. They get one extra star because the selection isn’t bad and we found what we were looking for at a reasonable price.
