I have been a patient of Dr. Stroud’s for over 15 years, and I honestly don’t know how I would have made it through some of my ailments if it weren’t for her. What I’ve appreciated the most is she is very holistic in her approach to healing. Since she knows that everything is inter-​related, she asks questions about your overall health, not just the problem being addressed. She even went so far as to watch me play the piano when I was having neck pain. Her suggestions on changing my position were invaluable. She has successfully treated me for neck pain, tennis elbow, back pain, wrist discomfort, and more. If you are looking for the best chiropractor available, you’ve come to the right place. And her office setup is serene and peaceful, right near the ocean. It just doesn’t get any better.

Dr. Jo Stroud is a professional of the highest standards. She is never content to go on what the problem «appears» to be. She will research and urge you to seek more thorough testing or intensive measures if need be. She is especially knowledgable in sports related injuries and has specialized equipment to help in speedier recoveries.
My husband has a very bad back. In years past he would be in agony for days. Since going to Dr. Stroud, his misery is over in hours.

Dr. Stroud is unprofessional and difficult to work with. There were two things that frustrated me the most about this doctor:
1) I had an appointment back in December 2012, and she spent more of my appointment taking my pulse, listening to my lungs, and taking my blood pressure than doing a chiropractic adjustment on me. I think she would rather be a medical doctor than a chiropractor.
2) I asked for a receipt for documentation of payment and services on the day of my appointment, but she had a patient right after me, and didn’t have time to write one up. I called and left messages for her, but she wouldn’t return my calls nor send me a receipt. So after three attempt’s, I decided to try something different. I called her, but this time left a message asking her to call me because I wanted to make an appointment. She called me back within the hour. When I finally talked to her, she told me to use my cashed check as my receipt. I asked for something to be written up, and she told me I would have to come by her office to pick that up during business hours. She refused to send it in the mail. I asked if she could email it to me, and she agreed. I gave her my email, and she emailed me and said, «Please send email request for what you need so I have record of permission. Thanks!» So I emailed her back and told her that I need everything that would be on a Superbill, and spelled it out for her. I did receive a receipt in the mail a few days later, but the whole process was like pulling teeth. She told me that next time I would have to get my receipt at the end of my appointment; because it causes unneeded stress for the both of us. Anyway I just wouldn’t recommend this doctor.

I don’t know what my husband and I would have done without Dr. Jo’s expertise! She was the one who sent him for an MRI because he didn’t respond to treatment. When he was admitted to the ER, she was on the phone continuously to help us navigate the system when he was diagnosed with cancer. She has been encouraging as we sought alternative health care and continues to stay in touch although my husband cannot receive chiropractic care at this time. Dr. Jo deserves 5 stars as a knowledgeable, caring, healing professional.
