Stopped by here for a quick wine tasting before heading to half moon bay. Very cheap tasting fee for $ 10 and you get to keep the wine glass.

Stopped in here as I was leaving half moon bay. This is a small batch winery. Nice quiet and unassuming winery with good priced wine and a nice large garden area available for picnicking. I got a case of 09 Merlot for $ 40 as it was on sale. I’ll be back next time with a picnic.

My girlfriends and I were heading to Half Moon Bay for the weekend and one of my friends remembered this little winery right before we get to town so we decided to stop and do a wine tasting and relax well that was not how it worked out. The wine tasting room was tiny teeny and there was what seemed like only 1 man working the room and he did not even acknowledge us when we walked in yes he was helping a couple but not even a «hello welcome be with you in a bit» or «come back later I can’t do 2 things at once lol» so my guess is either he’s a snob or racist since 3 out of the 4 us had brown skin. So we walked around outside for a bit giving him some time to finish with the couple and the grounds are pretty and cute but when we went back into the tasting room once again no acknowledgment. Which is fine you have the right to serve whomever you want when you own a business and you must have deep pockets if you are going to pick and choose which customers are worthy and which aren’t. So we left and us four will never be back nor recommend people there, nor have anything good to say about this winery.

I really had a good time here. The tasting room is quaint and adorable. The bocce court is perfect, and they waive the fee if you purchase a tasting. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about is that you do your tasting one at a time, whereas some wineries give you a flight of tastings together. Because all of the seating and the bocce court is outside, you have to keep going back in to get your next tasting… and the pours were light. You DO get to keep your glass, which is pretty sweet!

Preface: I love small wineries. I think they’re sweet and cute and perfect no matter what. So let me tell you about La Nebbia. Adorable. In my expert opinion, the wine was great*. Sharon was amazing and so knowledgeable about the winery and surrounding area. La Nebbia is definitely worth the trip from San Francisco! *I drink beer.

Cute spot for picnicking, bocce ball and wine tasting in HMB We stumbled upon the barrel to bottle day and it is a fun little event. Great deal if you have your own clean bottles to refill.

Worst wine tasting ever. Blah! Wines were all horrible, BUT the older woman with black hair was even worse! Last Saturday, The lady made rude comments and treated rude all the Asian couples that stopped in for tastings and to buy items. An Asian couple next to us at the counter was told«to not hog the bar and be bar flies» and move to the back to let more people come in. This lady did not explain any of the wines to them or us. The lady provided extremely rude customer service and has no business working with humans. We did try 5 wines for $ 10 and they were all horrible and dry. Blah! We will not be going back.

Mustard and sparkling wine! My family has been visiting this winery for years. Not only is the wine good, and the mustard to die for, the service is personalized and amazing. I love this place, because unlike other wineries it is unpretentious, and low key on selling. Take some time when you come here to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden, you will not regret it!

Extra pluses: the wines are very reasonable and they sell by the glass. The backyard is a nice place to relax and enjoy a glass of bubbly.

We were a big group of around 13 people from work who decided couple of days back to do a wine tasting on our way to a lunch at HMB. Contacted the winery and immediately got a email response from Frank who assured me that we can drop in with clear instructions to parking etc., As indicated, when we arrived today morning, they were waiting for us and our group had a very pleasant wine tasting experience. All the staff were very friendly and made the experience so personal and friendly. The wines were great. Personally I fell in love with their orange muscat. Super nice boutique winery and definitely worth going.

Fun, unassuming tasting room. The service was really friendly and I got the impression that the«$ 10 for 5» tasting is rarely a sticking point. Meaning, they poured my group additional samples and even asked me which one I wanted to try one last time as I was paying. Never with the feeling I was being pressured to buy anything, far from it. Maybe it’s not always like this. What I’m sure is always the same, is their ample picnic area in the back. BYO whatever and enjoy the scenery and play a game of bocce ball in one of their 2 courts. This is a perfect stop on your way to the beach or when heading back home. Sure, maybe this isn’t going to satisfy the most picky of wine enthusiasts since they source their grapes but if the other things don’t make up for it, then you’re probably hard to please and no fun anyway.

I had a great time while at La Nebbia Winery. The cashier attending the store was very congenial and helpful. He gave me recommendations and free Champagne glasses for my family’s picnic. The grounds were perfect for our little picnic we put together. We were all able to relax, sip on some of La Nebbia bubbly, which was very nice with our cheese and crackers. I am not much of a wine taster, but I would try more often if I had similar experiences to this one on a regular basis.

Solid Winery. On our way to the coast we stopped in La Nebbia for a tasting. For $ 10 you get to sample 5 wines and keep your glass. Pretty good deal. California Sparkling Wine — Really good. Black Muscat — Good. Not too sweet. Pinot Noir — OK Merlot — Ok Zinfandel — DELICIOUS. Best wine there. «Drinkable» is what we called it. Property is really nice, and the service was amazing. Id come here again.

I’ve been here a few times and have always enjoyed my experience. On this previous visit, my parents and I had stopped at a goat farm and purchased some cheese. We didn’t like the farm too much, so we moved our picnic to La Nebbia. We bought a bottle of the sparkling wine and asked if we could borrow glasses to drink from in the pretty picnic grounds they had. The sommelier was very kind and accommodating and said he would give us the glasses to keep for free since they had extra from the pumpkin festival. It was perfect, too, because they were champagne flutes. We really liked our picnic, so we bought another bottle of wine and some crackers to complement our goat cheese. We all agreed this place was the perfect rest stop on our ride home from the farm.

We came here for a private birthday event on a summery Saturday in June. What a fun space! We loved the bocce ball courts, the picnic tables, the beautiful flowers, the live music(gosh we danced in that gravel), and of course, the wine! We tried several of the wines and all were delicious and perfect for the al fresco environment. If you’re looking for a special event locale, I would definitely consider this spot! So fun! Also, we easily Über’d there and back so if you don’t have a DD, you can get a cab back to Half Moon Bay!

Had a fantastic time here. Wine tasting was so much fun because of the woman who was helping us out. She was very knowledgeable, hilarious and just super friendly! I cant believe I forgot her name. She even gave us samplers to taste. I bought a delicous garlic mustard from here thats just divine. I think we only paid $ 10.00 pp to sample their wines. Anyway, I had a great experience. The woman that was helping us was older(maybe 50 – 60)? She definitely had a young and free spirited heart.

I work in HMB and I actually deliver to La nebbia(once known as Obester winery) I’m their UPS guy. I know pretty much all the ind n outs of HMB and what’s good and what’s not. Trust your UPS driver! I had friends and family coming from LA and they wanted to visit the coast. They wanted to try some wine tasting so I took them to La Nebbia. They had a great time. For $ 10 they got to try 12 different wines and also got to keep the glass. It was a very good deal. They bought a couple of bottles to take home as well as some wonderful cooking marinades they make. The workers are very friendly and are very knowledgeable of their craft. Great spot to try some wine tasting. They also have a bocce ball area if you want to try your hand at bocce ball. As well as picnic tables to relax and eat at.

We visit Half Moon Bay frequently on the weekends, mostly to try out the various restaurants and enjoy the ocean-side view. We’ve passed by La Nebbia on the drive up, but have never actually stopped by until today. I’m glad we decided to try it out despite some of the low reviews on Unilocal, because we had a really good time. La Nebbia Winery allows you to sample 10 of their wines for $ 10.(This was actually pretty daunting, especially since I was wine tasting on an empty stomach, and I’m a bit of a light weight. Needless to say, I’m glad I wasn’t the one driving!) You can choose to pay an extra $ 2 for the port, which is served in a chocolate cup. The chocolate cup is the size of a medicine cup, but $ 2 is well worth the experience of doing a wine shot out of a chocolate cup, and then getting to eat said cup. The tasting room is of moderate size, but having ten people inside can make it feel cramped. Fortunately, you have the option to walk around the grounds and then return for your next wine on the tasting menu. The grounds are very pretty, and there are plenty of benches to sit down at. Overall, I wasn’t a big fan of the reds or whites. When we finally got to the dessert wines, I fell in love. Those dessert wines are amazing. I can’t stress enough how good they were! La Nebbia also has some dips to sample along the side, where you can try them out with pretzels. I ended up buying a jar of their award winning garlic dip($ 5-ish), which has a very strong taste to it and still remains in my mouth even after 6 hours and two sessions of teeth-brushing. This place definitely deserves a return visit, especially to see the cute kitties that live here!
