Amazing brunch here with unlimited caviar, crab claws, oysters, seafood, so good. The view outside the restaurant is so amazing.

The Sunday brunch is pretty good but in the end, it still has that buffet food taste. There’s seafood – oysters, clams, scallops, raw fish, claws – but they could’ve tasted more fresh. I guess for the price of this buffet, I expected a little more. My favorite part was the variety of cheeses(they all seem to be from Indiana) and the caviar. People like to LOAD up on the caviar but the staff is pretty good about refilling the tins. There were about five varieties and they all tasted different. Other noteworthy items are the Eggs Benedict, spicy corn chowder, dim sum(particularly the baked pork buns), and a few of the desserts. I got a slice of the leg of lamb but the person gave me an end piece which was cooked medium-well, almost well-done. Service is top notch. We always had enough to drink, although alcohol is not included in the price. Cocktails are about $ 17.50 each. Eating here is definitely a treat and part of the overall experience, which includes enjoying the view. That can’t be beat.

It was a nice day; we decided to drive down just to have lunch at Navio and enjoy the view. It’s not a mistake we’ll make again. I knew we were in trouble as soon as I opened the menu. For whatever reason, the first thing I noticed was they were charing $ 28 a glass for Far Niente Chardonnay. Now, this is not a good wine; it retails for about $ 45 a bottle. If a restaurant is charging 62% of the cost of an entire bottle for a single glass, there is no other conclusion than that it is usurious. Things went downhill from there. I asked our(very pleasant) server if their bartender was good, and he affirmed that was the case. I ordered an Old Fashioned and, after about 15 minutes what was put in front of me looked like a glass of water. With great trepidation, I tasted it. Oh no. Someone had gotten a hold of the simple syrup bottle and emptied into my glass. Then, as some kind of afterthought, had added a dollop of scotch. It was hideous. Back it went. The carrot and ginger soup, our first course, was actually good. For what it cost, it should have been. The entrees, though were both misses. Very expensive misses. As others have stated, the view is very nice. But if you want to see what an elegant Ritz Carlton dining room overlooking the Pacific should look like, visit the one in Laguna(Dana Point). I’m, sorry, but Navio has not achieved that level of samsara.

First time Sunday brunch as I heard it’s a must try. Celebrating cousins birthday and it was fabulous. There was also a private party there at the same time with a woman celebrating her 101 years birthday and she looked amazing. I think I will come back for my 100th bday as well ;) First off location is amazing with a fantastic view. You enter the dining area and your eyes sparkle as your mouth starts to salivate all the beautiful food meat, cheese, bread, prime rib, lamb roast, seafood station shrimps, caviar, oysters, crab, beef carpaccio, fruit and so on. I think I ate enough food for the week. It’s like you can’t stop because you want to be able to try it all. Service was amazing and staff greeted everyone with a smile. Pricey? — Well of course you are at the Ritz Carlton not the Vegas buffet. Worth it? — Definitely. at least try it once!

The ambience was great; the views were phenomenal; the service was excellent; and the food was wonderful(for the most part). Experienced Sunday brunch twice now, and here’s hoping it would be at least an annual experience :) Tip 1 — if you love dim sum, skip theirs because it’s not that good Tip 2 — if the wasabi flavored caviar is available, get tons of it because it is heavenly Tip 3 — Seafood seafood seafood! Tip 4 — save room for the sweets Tip 5 — not all beverages are refillable(like the mimosa) Tip 6 — although most diners dress up in slacks or dresses, a significant number of diners wear dressed up jeans Tip 7 — take a walk outside their grounds after your dining experience

The view from the restaurant is fabulous. The food was ok though. we ordered steamed mussels which was ok and new york steak which was also Ok. Nothing different from the usual. I loved the place and the view.

Ahh, Navio. I miss you so much. But you’re blacklisted until your valet quits lying and actually admits to beating the shit out of my car. We’ve dropped a LOT of money here in the last 5+ years of living in HMB. And for good reason — the food is amazing, the views are gorgeous, and the table service is impeccable. But NOBODY treats my personal property like that, lies about it, tries to make me out to be an idiot… and gets my repeat business. Le sigh.

Excellent food & customer service. We ate at Navio while we were staying at the resort and boy they did not disappoint. We stared with their shrimp cocktail which was fresh, big and meaty. I ordered the Branzino for my main course and I have to say it was the best one I’ve had thus far. The skin was crispy which was a nice contrast from the deliciously flavored flakey fish. It was topped with cauliflower, caper & butter sauce which added another layer of flavor complexity. Must order the Branzino! My husband ordered the filet and it was uniquely different than some of the other steaks we had. It had a touch of smokiness which was elevated with their wine sauce. We ordered the rum Sabayon for dessert and that too was devoured. The rum was a tad strong for my taste but the Sabayon itself was really nice, light and not overly sweet. Speaking of sweet, our waitress, Pat, was super attentive, courteous and warm. One of the chefs came by to our table because we wanted to share our sincere compliments. The whole staff there really made the dining experience memorable. In short, you will not be disappointed if you choose to splurge on a nice dinner here.

Half Moon Bay, CA Breakfast Review A-Ok Ricotta Pancakes — Pancakes were okay, not mind blowing. Expecting a sweet before or after thought but instead the ricotta added a savory aspect. Totally thrown off, somewhat disappointed. However, can understand this is how they do things. Feedback — if the served mentioned their Ricotta pancakes are in the savory vs. more common sweet side, I would have ordered something else. Coffee — mini pot placed on table. Pro Tip — bring a Ritz Paper Coffee cup in from the complimentary morning coffee area. Then you can get a cup to go and ensure you finish all the coffee. Service — As expected. Ambiance — Picturesque.

Have you ever ate so much that you were full for another 27 hours and COULDNOT eat for the next two meals? EY, come on foodie to foodie, don’t gotta hide. We’ve all been there. $ 140/person(including tax and tips) for a brunch buffet. Cheapest brunch I’ve ever had *said in the most sarcastic secretly crying in the corner with my sad empty wallet tone* Foreal though, once in a lifetime thing type of ordeal. Navio is located within Ritz Carlton hotel. Their Sunday brunch seating are 12pm, 12:15pm, and 12:30pm; second seatings are 2pm, 2:15pm, and 2:30pm. .:FOOD:. RAWWW Section You got the clams, the oysters, the mussel, smoked salmon, 6 different caviars, etc (i cant eat raw food so i missed out) MEAT/SEAFOOD Section You got the braised pork cheeks, the beef rib eye, the lamb chop, the salmon, chilled crab claws/shrimp, FOIEGRAS with passion fruit, etc. ASIAN Station You got the california rolls, the sashimi(totally missed out on. boo.), the pork buns, the dumplings, the chashiu BREAD, CHEESE, MEATS Section You got 7 – 8 different types of bread, about 6 types of different cheeses from france, italy, etc, and a diverse amount of meat like pork, rabbit, veal, duck prosciutto, sausage garlic, etc. BREAKFAST Station Eggs benedict, applewood bacon, scrambled eggs, mixed veggies, etc. DESSERTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTSTATION You got 4 different types of cakes(tropical carrot cake, chocolate mousse, gianduja raspberry, caramel apple mousse, which the chef told me took 3 – 4 days to make each one due to designing and whatnot), CREPESTATION, gelato(green tea, raspberry, and pistachio), cookies, caramel flan, rice pudding, bread pudding, coffee eclairs, chocolate pieces(salted caramel, lemon, white chocolate, dark chocolate, etc), cream puff, vanilla pound cake with pistachio, passion fruit mousse, CREMEBRULEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! (LOL notice how i can name more of the dessert section, big fat sweet tooth I got) Everything was all in all pretty good. I definitely would go back just for the dessert but maybe not for that price. .: Service/Atmosphere/Parking:. Service was super on point. From pulling up to the front of the hotel where they open each of our car door and open the door to the hotel, to the hostess seating us, to the waitress who attentively brought me a new set of utensils when it got super dirty. Atmosphere was breathtaking as we were seated at the windows facing the ocean. The place was beautiful and classy. Decors were super nice even the display for the dessert. Valet parking was $ 10. Which is not too bad compared to the $ 25+ in SF.

It comes with such pleasure to make my 100th review, one for Navio. We had such a spectacular dining experience here. Not only was the ambiance beautiful and the dishes truly amazing, but the service was outstanding. Our starter was the Poke which was very fresh and the seasoning was just right. The seared Bass had great texture and paired with Cauliflower drizzled in wonderful flavors. Although the dishes were delicious, I would have to say the Scallops were my favorite dish. The Scallops were nicely simmered in a Celery Leek purée with lovely mushrooms. Each bite blended perfectly that left an unforgettable and heavenly taste. This particular entrée has been the most amazing Scallop dish I have yet try. Thank you Navio, our waitress Lauren and the Kitchen staff for making our dining experience here a tremendously magical one. We hope to return very soon.

Time to eat: Whatever you do, don’t come hungry. I arrived promptly for my reservation(it was far from full) and still waited quite a while to order and for my food. Came back for breakfast after showering. My hair is dry but I have no idea where my two eggs might be? Had they eloped with the toast and chicken apple sausage? Fortunately, I had my music and a nice view. Service was warm but toast was cold.

Beautiful views of Half Moon Bay and the Pacific Ocean. I was here for my birthday celebration, and everything we ordered off the menu was tasty. Service is lackluster for a 5-star resort, but our server was always prompt when we flagged him down with any requests. Valet parking exists for $ 10 at the front of the hotel.

There are few things I enjoy in life greater than upscale buffet-style dining, and Navio definitely does NOT disappoint! Located in the gorgeous Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, Navio is a ballroom sized restaurant overlooking the stunning hill and ocean the hotel is perched on. Seriously the views are to die for! The food is also really yummy, and there is a variety of options to satisfy any foodie. These were the following stations of food: Cheese and Charcuterie station: This station had about 15 different types of cheeses including two different types of goat cheese, cheddar cheese, bleu cheese, gouda cheese, etc. I love my cheese, so I helped myself to all of them and they were all delicious! I don’t eat meat so I didn’t really inspect the charcuterie side of this station, but it looked like there were lots of options for meat lovers as well. Dessert station: This was hands down my favorite food section of the restaurant as it included French macarons of various flavors, chocolate truffles, little cakes and puddings, crème brûlée, a sorbet station, a smores crêpe station, and cookies, just to name a few! Despite stuffing my face with food from the other stations, I dove right into the dessert section like I was starving. Thank goodness I have a dessert stomach, am I right? Asian food station: This station left more to be desired, as it only had some basic sushi rolls, some assorted dimsum, and spring rolls. I wish the station had more seafood dimsum items, a noodle bar, and even some Indian food to really represent all the wonderful Asian foods. Seafood station: This station had so many different types of caviar, mussels and clams, oysters, octopus, and scallops, and as a pescatarian, I was quite pleased at the selection. This was probably my second favorite station after the dessert station. Hot food station: This station had eggs benedict, grilled meats, other egg dishes, pot pies, and pancakes — your typical American brunch style food. I didn’t have a chance to try anything from this station, but the food looked delicious! Assorted food station: This station is what I like to call the random food station, as it had a lobster dish, some bread, some other meat dishes, etc. It didn’t really have a theme or fit in anywhere, and it was the only station that was floating in the middle of the restaurant while all the other stations were located in places that make sense. Nothing on this station really stood out as wow, so I would skip this in lieu of the other stations. Overall, while Navio is as upscale as it gets for fancy buffet-style dining, at $ 195 per person, I have a hard time saying that it is worth it to dine here as the food was not out of this world amazing. The quality of the food is definitely good, but there aren’t as many options and the food is not particularly innovative or unique. I probably wouldn’t come back but I definitely enjoyed my experience!

Came here for a girlfriends birthday. We did the brunch and enjoyed the amazing view from the hotel. Weather was nice but a bit windy that weekend. So yes, the hotel is super cute and the views are amazing but I really was not impressed with the VERY expensive brunch buffet. Seriously, I’ve had better food at half the price else where. Sure you don’t get the view but really I almost felt taken advantage of with the price. Each person paid at least $ 170(without alcohol) and those that drank at leaf $ 200 each. I’m sorry but I will never pay this much again for brunch. I’m not a cheap person and I like fine dinning here and there but I also cook and there was not a dish that blew my mind. I’m not a caviar fan so that did nothing for me. I’m not a dessert person so that also did nothing for me. So if you have loads of money and want to just blow it cus it grows on trees for you or have a sugar mama or daddy go ahead and give it a shot. Again, location and hotel is 5 stars but the buffet should reconsider charging so much.

I am a fan of a hearty breakfast anytime… and especially so before venturing out to play a round of golf on the Pacific Ocean at Half Moon Bay’s Ocean Course. We had our breakfast two days in a row at Navio, the breakfast room at the Ritz Carlton Resort. Maria, our server, shocked us today by greeting my wife by her first name as we sat down at an oceanfront table. Now that is amazing service. We both had omelets made to order with a multiplicity of ingredients. It is served with either delicious breakfast potatoes or fresh fruit. Although we’re talking about a $ 21 omelet, we felt they were well worth the premium. A totally delicious experience. Got to throw Navio five big ones.

Sunday Brunch was just ok… but just being there with the view and the next to the ocean is worth it for a special occasion. They have all sorts of selections from Chinese to Sushi to Caviar. If you are caviar connoisseur you probably won’t like their selection but for all of us that eat it on occasion then this is our bang for the buck. Let’s just say I had my money’s worth with the caviar. I usually stick to my pastries and then work my way to eating more hearty things things like oysters, raw fish and then my meats. The grand daddy of them all is the selection of desserts that they have. If you are looking for a place to have a nice brunch this would be it. Just make sure you know how much it cost and also for parking. Make it worth your while and give yourself enough time to enjoy the facilities.

THEBESTBRUNCHBUFFETEVER. Not only is The Ritz Half Moon Bay ground amazing but their brunch buffet lives up to the hype. Buffet includes fresh seafood(oysters, clams, shrimp cocktail and more), 2 – 3 kinds of CAVIAR, FOIEGRAS! prime rib, lamb, sushi, meats and cheeses, Asian food and an impressive dessert section(that the kids LOVE). You can easily spend 3 hours here relaxing, eating, enjoying coffee, having a long conversation, reading the news while eating. Valet parking is $ 12. Kids under 6(I believe it’s 6) eat for FREE! after tax, tip, valet parking, coffee, fresh OJ and a cocktail, total was about $ 310 for 2 adults. Give yourself extra time to get to the Ritz HMB from SF(min 1.5 hours, usually a lot of traffic) and spend about 3+ hours here. You can go hang outside behind the hotel afterwards as well. It is very pricey but worth it for a very special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary. My bf and I love the atmosphere, it’s so relaxing and they serve the food we love. He actually woke up one random Sunday morning and on the whim decided we should go. Luckily we were able to get a reservation for the same day!

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a long time. Somehow, the price of brunch just kept me away or there was nothing that could justify spending major cash on a brunch buffet. One of my best friends was celebrating her birthday and she’s a huge caviar fan so I knew we definitely had to check this place out because they have a caviar bar. If it’s anything like the one the Ritz Carlton in SF used to have, we definitely had to go. I was able to score reservations a week before our birthday celebration brunch. Upon driving up to the hotel, your only option to park is a forced valet so there’s no self parking on hotel grounds. But you can park outside of the hotel perimeter and walk to the hotel if you prefer self parking. I know my husband hates valet because he doesn’t trust others with his car so just want to note this for others who prefer to self park. Navio is located inside the Ritz Carlton and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. I adored their lighting installations and the classic inviting atmosphere. Upon check-in we were seated right away. Take note that if you want to be seated near the windows, definitely add that in your reservation. We had a party of 4 plus a one year old and they had the high chair all set-up when we arrived. The highlights of brunch were the caviar and dessert bar. There are so many different choices: dim sum, various cheeses, sushi, seafood and meat dishes. The sushi section did not look appetizing at all so I didn’t even bother to check it out. I loved the dungeness crab dish, mini pork buns, tuna tartare and caviar. There were so many dessert choices so I was in sugar heaven! This is a nice place to go for a celebration with your friends and family. It’s $$$ but worth it to try at least once. Make sure you come with a healthy appetite and save enough time for a long brunch so you can enjoy all that Navio has to offer. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s a bit overpriced and brunch didn’t include drinks so everything adds up. After brunch, take time to enjoy their hotel grounds. You can even head outside, sit in one of their patio chairs and order more drinks and take in the wonderful views of the ocean. I love this place and will return soon with my family.

They have such a beautiful view in the dining room. Who doesn’t like to watch the waves crashing softly outside the windows. This place is worth the $ 100pp, you get to eat 3 different types of caviar, giant clams and sweet juicy shrimp.(I am Asian… I want to get the most bang for the buck,) Navio has a great selection of Japanese, American and Chinese cuisines. I enjoyed the sashimi and dim sum as well. I can hardly contain myself every time I com here, it is impossible to not overstuff yourself and want to lay out downstairs by the fire pits. They have a super cute V day special where they decorate their dessert room and fill it with delectable desserts! Special boxes of truffles for the birthday guest. Parking is $ 25, I think.

Picture this: Two seats facing a window, over looking the pacific. The waves are crashing… the sun is setting… one of the most beautiful places to have dinner for sure. 1. Get there early! We got there an hour before sunset and snagged one of the first window tables… but they were all full 30 minutes later. 2. Get the octopus appetizer… beyond tender and super flavorful. 3. Get the seared scallops and foie gras with beets. The scallops were sweet and cooked perfectly. The portion of foie gras was pretty generous… and delicious. 4. Go for a walk outside after your meal, and sit by the firepits. Doesn’t get more romantic than that ;). Yes it’s a little pricier, but this really was the perfect place for a birthday dinner!

All that glitters is not gold. You’ve probably hear this expression and unfortunately it applies to Navio located in the posh and swanky Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Don’t get me wrong your breath will be gently taken away as you survey the picturesque location and you will surely be enchanted by the mighty rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean as you’re gracefully led to your table. However, keep this in mind as this is built into the cost of admission. The brunch selections, cuts of meat, sushi, dim sum, are all what I deem ‘solidly pedestrian’ I will say their dessert section was well rounded and diverse and the caviar was a nice touch. You must try the thick hot chocolate drink. Service was five stars. I mean the effort and care to carefully fold my linen napkin every single time I left my chair was on point. Like the old adage goes, you do get what you pay for, and this most certainly applies to Navio.

Located in the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, Navio is one of the more upscale, popular restaurants in the area. They’re quite famous for their brunch so it was on my list for a while. Wait, 2 stars? What happened? To be fair, this rating needs to be broken out into several pieces — LOCATION — 5 stars If you catch a day that’s not gloomy, this is the perfect Northern California scenery. The restaurant overlooks the fantastic coastline and has a outdoor terrace to sunbath. Sounds like a perfect way to spend your Sunday? It sure is. SERVICE — 4 stars Top service, super friendly and very attentive waiters. A hiccup in the reservation was corrected quickly and without hassle. I like that everyone actually smiled and seemed to care about the guests. Great job. INTERIOR — 4 stars Two large, stretched rooms, with ocean views. The interior is warm and chic, dark wooden tables, chairs, and leather sofas. Very welcoming. Do patrons count as interior? This is definitely a people-watching place and you’ll see nicely dressed guurrlz and the occasionally well dressed guy there. The catwalk here is the way to the buffet — eye candy. FOOD — 3 stars I liked the variety with the focus on seafood(sushi, shrimp, cod, caviar), the dim sum and the lobster soup. The food, however, seemed to be sitting there for too long — especially the sushi and the pancakes, both tasted stale. The bread selection was weak and the desserts, although nicely presented in a special chocolate room, didn’t turn my taste buds on. And I’m a dessert guy. VALUE — 1 star This was branded as a «Champagne Brunch plus Chocolate Room» for the duration of two hours but asking $ 140 per person is a bit ridiculous even if the setting is right. For that price I’d expect at least super fresh food, and that wasn’t the case. In my opinion they went a bit overboard with the prices, otherwise this would be a 4 stars experience.

Navio. I really wanted to like you. The gigantic windows framing the powerful Pacific ocean outside provided breathtaking views. Your sinfully delicious dessert room decorated with luscious chocolate art and different dessert stations: chocolate fountain, crêpe making station, fresh cookies and mini sized sugar creations … Delightful. Even for a non-dessert person like me! Your drool-worthy caviar station. I went crazy there. And the celebration wouldn’t be complete without a glass of bubbly. Or two. The fantastic service from the waitstaff and very apologetic hostess for not finding our reservation right away. Sigh. I couldn’t fully like you because your seafood … sucked. And your brunch selections? sucked even more. And the price you charged? sucked the bf’s wallet dry. Dry is not good. In any situation. Good bye.
