Wonderful assortment of orchids at reasonable prices. I saw them at the Downtown San Jose Farmer’s Market and had to get pictures(I cannot afford a place that has a back yard suitable for growing an orchid yet). They let me take my pictures( ) so I really need to give them a big shout out. Thank you so much and I look forward to doing business with you once I have a garden of my own.

These folks sell their orchids at farmers’ markets in the area. They don’t have their own website, but there’s a little squib about the owner on the site of the Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association site. Their phone number is in the East Bay but they grow their orchids in Half Moon Bay. They are at the El Cerrito Farmers’ Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. They take credit cards. Their orchids are gorgeous and well priced. Early last month I brought DGD to the farmers’ market so she could choose flowers for Tam’s birthday. Rose Mae Orchids was next to the stall whose flowers caught DGD’s eye. While she was negotiating for the bunch she liked, I was attracted to a cascading orchid at Rose Mae. It was in a hanging basket. One spike was in full bloom and there were 7 or 8 others ready to grow out. It was $ 40, which seemed reasonable to me for all that potential growth, so I bought it. It hangs outside my kitchen window, having survived a mishap when the hook it was on gave way, dropping the pot onto the deck below. Not a great fall and it landed on its bottom before rolling onto its side. It’s now hanging from a sturdy, rust proof nail, waiting for the next rains and has been moved into a ceramic pot that has hung empty in our living room for years. Here’s it’s photo w/more blooms:
