Woohoo! As good as it gets! There is no doubt about it… Sushi Main Street has amazing rolls and costumer service. This is a great destination and deserves a five star review for all aspects form the décor to the rolls. Thank you Sushi Main Street team :)

I’ve been coming to Sushi Main Street for years and have always had good service and great sushi. I think sometimes the service can be slow if the restaurant is crowded, but that can happen in any restaurant. I always sit at the sushi bar and get fast, personalized service with a smile. Highly recommended.

Well this review is way over do. I eat here, probably once a week. The servers know me, and my order. This is one of the best places in Half Moon Bay. The sushi is fresh, the staff is really friendly and give great service. I love the ambiance, and I love their wine list as well. I mean, sushi and wine, how do you go wrong with that? I have never had to wait for a table, and I haven’t had anything I don’t like here. It’s a HMB staple.

Showed up two time and waited by the door. Nobody came to great nor seat me, despite the fact everybody saw me waiting there. The place wasn’t even busy at al. First and certainly my last time there, since I’m apparently unwanted. :(

Ok this is the coolest«looking» place! However, their service is terrible, they use Crab Stick(imitation crab sticks) for their crab rolls, and overall they just should either get more help or get a new manager/owner. The guy who bar-tended was also making sushi and IMO they is a health violation. No thanks!

Wow, beautiful bathroom but confusing. I almost peed into a giant conch shell. Love the décor here except for some pesky flies. Fun stops there. After standing forever at the front a waitress finally came over. When I said«one for lunch» she was like oh, is over there ok. go ahead. Hiss and boo at no ice in the water. Barbarians. I ordered the lunch bento special. I hesitated to choose vegetable tempura because I hate zucchini and mushrooms. I told the waitress this and asked if I could just get more broccoli or sweet potato or whatever and she said ok. Salad dressing was wet tasting and flavorless. Lo and behold. I actually bit into the huge zucchini thinking it might be a potato. Server didn’t check on me until she brought the bill. When I showed her she just said sorry. She said she wrote no zucchini and told them to do mostly sweet potato and mushroom because that’s her favorite. I guess she didn’t remember the mushroom part and I guess the cook didn’t give a shit. Won’t be returning as there are so many places to lunch here. Service not great. Also I’m not a portion freak but it’s supposed to come with a California roll. I got 2 pieces with brown avocado. I’m still sitting here waiting for her to take my card so I can pay and leave. Ugh.

Good service & fresh well-prepared sushi. I tried halibut nigiri for the first time & was delighted by the fresh mint under the meat. Equal to any sushi I have enjoyed. Delicious & moderately priced. My spouse enjoyed a soba noodle soup with tempura shrimp.

I had a fantastic meal here years ago, & I was struck by what a great value it was. Seriously, the 2 of us ate like friggin royalty, had a bottle of sake, & it was only about a hundred bucks. The sushi was high quality & fresh. The 2 things that matter most w sushi, right? The space is gorgeous. It’s unique & unforgettable. I may be romanticizing, but it’s so amazing that it affords forgiveness of minor things. Operative word being minor. After having had a late Labor Day lunch @ Alice’s in Woodside, we stopped here for a drink. I had the Japanese equivalent of a margarita; frozen lemonade w sake. It had just the right amount of tangy & sweet. It was fabulous! Über refreshing. Too delicious, too dangerous. They could have been snooty & given us attitude for not ordering food. But they didn’t. Props for that. I studied the menu & saw that it’s still a good value today. Rolls starting at $ 5.95& lunch bento boxes at around $ 10.95. And special rolls & mains averaging at $ 14? I’m there. 5 stars.

Pretty average. Service was slow and our food came out at separate times which I didn’t like. I was the last one served so I had to wait a while. The restaurant is dead during the lunch hours on the weekdays. The sushi is pretty mediocre as well and slightly overpriced.

My girlfriend and I went in impromptu for sushi. We sat at the sushi bar and were treated with pretty good service. The food was good and the prices were great. We ended up getting two sets of sushi and a dinner combination plate all for under 35 bucks. Not too shabby for a dinner in the Bay Area. The ambiance was nice and it wasn’t too loud.

Terrible. Don’t ever go there. Flies everywhere and the food is not worth your time. Ordered a catch of the day which was salmon. Plain, small and was not anything special. Literally boiled salmon. Had a dinner combination as was not fulfilling and everything was in teeny tiny portions for $ 20. My friend who ordered catch of the day had the same exact thing I had in the dinner combo and it costed him 20 $ for just the salmon. I would not recommend anyone to go here EVER.

What a beautiful place. The décor is interesting, a mix of natural wood motif and what looks like a middle eastern window/wall covering. The food was good. Just had a basic 2 item box, but liked it and it was reasonably priced. The service wasn’t great. Kind of slow and didn’t check to see how things were going. Still I’d return.
