Cheryl Fuller is one of the jewels of the coast side. A long time massage practitioner she brings three decades of bodywork knowledge into the room. What most impressed me today was her ability to «be present» full time during the massage. You might imagine that massage is simply a physical activity. When it’s done right, the therapist is concentrating on each stroke, noticing the response from the client and making subtle adjustments to improve the experience. Cheryl did a wonderful job of making the experience relaxing and comfortable. If you want an experience of deep relaxation I highly recommend her work. The hot rocks treatment was divine!

Cheryl is a gifted massage therapist. Her location is peaceful and close to nature — I could hear the ocean and catch glimpses of the gorgeous sunset. More importantly, Cheryl put me at ease and her technique was terrific. She asked about and applied the right amount of pressure. I left after 90 minutes feeling so relaxed and will definitely come back.

Cheryl is a great massage therapist, and the location of her studio is right by the ocean. Cheryl combines techniques that are both gentle and firm, so you leave relaxed and also without the knots you arrived with. She is a great listener, and knows her craft! I highly recommend her.

Amazing experience and best massage I’ve had so far, have been to a number of places throughout the bay area. Really liked the idea of listening to the actual ocean and felt the gentle breeze through the window during massage. Cheryl’s calm and soothing energy was very relaxing and her spiritual energy definitely made a difference in the whole experience. I felt so relaxed and refreshed and can’t wait to get the chance to come back.

Had massage here 2 weeks ago and was most disappointed. Cheryl is a nice person, seemingly very calm. But she is Esalen trained and supposedly has 20 + years of experience. The massage I reveived was very basic, she didn’t ask me if I had any health issues, injuries, needed special attention in any specific areas– nothing like that. Didn’t ask me about the pressure. In fact at times her touch was so light it was like being weirdly tickled which was not pleasant. Lovely location, and pretty relaxing but for someone who has so much background I expected to be wowed and I was not. Her work was very lopsided, 5 minutes on one arm 2 minutes on the other, did the front of my left leg and ignored my right leg so I left feeling rather frustrated and lopsided. Having a massage is an expensive treat and if I am going to treat myself I want it to be right. This wasn’t, it felt slapdash and amateur and I won’t be going back.

The waves are crashing almost right below the window. The sun is peeking through the shade of the cypress tree outside(if you are lucky; come on, this is foggy Half Moon Bay we’re talking about). This is a great place to get a massage. I received a gift certificate for a massage here, my first professional massage. It was wonderful. Cheryl is very welcoming, pleasant, and accommodating. There are mentions of her already on Unilocal through Cypress Inn, where she is the resident masseuse, but I felt that since you do not have to stay there to receive a massage, she deserved her own page. She’s not too expensive at all, check the prices on her website. I left in the baggy clothing she told me to wear, thankfully, because I felt that great floating sensation you get just after with your endorphins flowing. The only reason I gave her a four was not for her technique but because she has a religious agenda. She doesn’t bring it up too much, and I think she can sense if you’re not comfortable with such a thing(in fact, it may have been stronger in my case simply because she goes to the same church as the person who gave me the gift), but there is a spiritual factor to her approach to therapy. Her website even makes mention of it. Don’t worry, she’s not going launch into some big speech or anything, but it is a point worth mentioning all the same, as some people are probably less comfortable with such situations even more than I am. Still, I’d go back in a heartbeat, and probably for the 1−½ hour session instead of just the 1 hour I did last time.
