Unfortunately they are closed to the public now. The webpage has more details, here is an excerpt. Coincidentally, we were also informed by our insurance company that if we continue to allow the public onto the property, our rates would triple. After much thought and discussion, we have come to the decision that we will no longer have the pumpkin patch open to the public. We’ll miss them — they had a tractor ride, goats to feed, and a warm atmosphere. It was perfect for small kids.

We really enjoyed this pumpkin patch! Richard the owner was very cool with the kids and even helped with family photos. We got to meet the goats and pick out some white, red and orange pumpkins. Being open on a Monday was nice as well. Not going to be a crowd fest here as you are off of Highway 1 south of HMB downtown.

We went looking for a pumpkin patch and came across the Tunitas Creek Family Farm. How much fun! They’ve got the obligatory corn maze. They’ve got the scarecrows. They’ve got the pumpkins all over the place and arranged by type. Who knew the standard orange pumpkin is so 2008!!! Now you can get green, white, a mix of colors and more from large to medium to mini for your desk at work!

Low key and fun, the Tunitas Creek Family Farm is set up in the hills above Half Moon Bay off the main drag of the pumpkin patches which we loved after the madness that was Arata Farm. It was so nice to feel peacefulness of farm life around you. My kids enjoyed visiting the farm animals, our dog had a good time annoying the chickens and we loved the scenery. There were lots of nice photo opportunities, the pumpkins were decently priced and the folks running the place were as pleasant as could be. Stop by and commune with farm life before Halloween!
