It’s a nice view on the intracoastal but it’s in the nasty old Hemispheres Complex. The décor is quite good, but the food is very so so. I am sad to say that for the price we could have had much better food in any of the medium upscale competition nearby.

Went for a birthday dinner with a group of friends. Thought the service was great. Very attentive staff. The place looks spectacular– truly great décor/vibe. You get this sense of elegance and class. Food was right on par with service and décor. Salmon was good, as were the mussels and though i didnt try it, the ribeye looked damn good! Overall impressed. Not too often you find a spot that excels in all 3 areas.(food, service, décor). Going back to sit by the water and enjoy the view(too cold and rainy last time) Thank you!

We went for my birthday dinner, six adults and one toddler and were quickly seated. Everyone enjoyed his/her food. Table service was friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that took 15 minutes for a single parking valet to retrieve 3 cars ahead of us in line. Am looking forward to another visit.

Whole Branzino was really good and the fries are excellent! I didn’t give 5 stars only bc the kitchen is a bit slow. Service is always good but kitchen is slow. Live music was a nice touch.

We had issues from the moment we walked in. We made a reservation for 7 and asked to be seated outside. We were told no problem just remind the hostess when we get there. When we got there the hostess says there are no 7s outside but they could put us at a 6 or they could put 2 picnic tables together to make 10. Neighther worked for us so we took the table they reserved for us. The table wobbled and after appetizers we asked the manager(who had stopped by to inform us they were out of one if the entrees we ordered) to fix the table. He said they were aware it was broken and that management was going to fix it next week! Obviously not in time for our dinner! This begged the question, why seat us at a table they knew was broken? The answer was, you’re right, we shouldn’t have done that. Ok, another great help. They did eventually comp our deserts but still upsetting and annoying. The food was ok, not great, not original, not creative, but ok. Mussels rubbery, sausage pre-packaged, sauces too thin, and the server didn’t bring bread to the table until after clearing several of the plates(and after being asked). It took five trips to bring the coffee for 7, and one tea was completely forgotten until after everyone was served desert and coffee and we reminded her if the order. All thus is why they got 2 stars. Also because I’m a softy, but we won’t be back.

Dinner here on Sunday night. Location is fabulous with views of water. Apparently an inter coastal waterway. Dinner was very good. We shared the park belly appetizer which was excellent. One was enough of an app for both of us. For the entrée I had the Seafood Paella which was really really good. My wife had the chicken which she says was excellent. Bonus was a $ 50 for $ 40 deal from Unilocal. This was new to me but a winner. Unfortunately we found out that Groupon had a much better deal. We should have done our homework but only ourselves to blame. Only down side was service was lacking. Very slow and our waiter was rarely visible. Truth be told, we would go back

Hidden gem… although needs help with service. The food was really good — we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered: steamed clams in a lovely garlic cream sauce, burrata flatbread w/chorizo, potbelly-yum mines, chicken liver pâté w/fruit chutney, and the«fall-off-the-bone» lamb shank was superb! The seafood paella was pretty good, pleasantly surprised by the quinoa instead of rice. The décor is lovely and refreshing…“beach chic”…and we loooooved the live music. ****BUT…the SERVICE was not only slow, but lackluster, unfortunately. Everything took long, and no one checked even to take new drink orders. A manager(seemed) saw us looking around and did come over to ask, and when we told him we waiting long, he took off and our server showed up right away… but still nothing improved and that«manager» never even checked back in. That all being said, the food was really great so we will be back, in hopes, last night was just a fluke!

What a nice surprise this place is! Hidden inside a residential building, this restaurant is kinda hard to find as you will think you got into the wrong entrance, but no you are at the right place! At the entrance you ate immediately acknowledged by their hostess who had no problems accommodating us at their outside are although we didn’t have reservations. The restaurant is nicely decorated with high wood ceiling, earth tones, and light stones. It all gives a very relaxing atmosphere to the place. The view outside is great, the boats passing by, the sun reflecting on the water makes it all so nice. We got there on time for their brunch and I started ordering their bottomless Bellinis and Joe had berry caipirinha. Mine was just perfect! I ordered the Chorizo frittata and him the Turkey panini with truffle fries. My frittata was divine with onions and pepper and a salad on the side. I also ordered whole wheat toast to go with my breakfast. I nibbled on the truffled fries and they were very good. After I was done eating I still hanged around a little longer as I kept enjoying my Bellinis my server, Sunny, was super sweet and attentive and kept making sure my glass was always full. She actually told us about their sunset menu at $ 23 including appetizer, entrée and dessert from 4 – 7, and you still can enjoy their happy hour with drinks at $ 5! Guess who is coming back so to try the sunset shenanigans? Moi! I would go back for the brunch itself as it was really good!

An amazing dinning experience. Worth a visit with your significant other. With the views of the water and delicious food — it is a complete food lovers paradise. Coupon n check-in offers from Unilocal also helps a lot. Will visit again for sure!

PERFECT! Ambiance is exquisite. Food is fantastic. View is to dream for. We had salmon and paella, one better than the other. Waiter was very polite and helpful Music compliments the ambiance. Yes, it is a little pricey, ideal for a special moment with your significant other.

Wow what a find on the water this place is a hidden gem with a million dollar view. The place inside is amazing the did a really nice job with the décor. Valet parking is free !!! This is really nice because if it is raining you pull right under cover and don’t have to get wet. Onto the food we went for brunch I made a reservation through Unilocal.Started out with a mint lemonade was so refreshing. We got a ceasar salad with chicken $ 15, lobster roll with truffle fries $ 18, and a turkey melt with truffle fries $ 12. The prices are great and so was the service. Out waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable. This place is going to be a huge hit even though according to Unilocal it already is !

This place is awesome! Great food, knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff, and the view is serene! The mussles were cooked with sausage which is not typical but the sausage didn’t overpower the delicate mussles. It was divine. I ordered Salmon and my husband ordered the seafood pasta, both were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The pictures are bad quality… I know… but it should give you an idea of what to expect. Don’t miss the deal on Unilocal,$ 40 for $ 50 and one free glass of prosecco. I have to mention that this place is a bit difficult to find… you should go into the parking lot of a residential building to get to the restaurant.

Kind of procrastinated on this one, but thanks to fellow Unilocaler Tim S. for posting a nice pic, which reminded me of the great experience I had here during Unilocal Spring Break 2015! It’s somewhat hidden, and I noticed it at a bus stop billboard while taking a stroll. I was staying at one of my Auntie’s condos located across the street, and we simply walked over. We were greeted immediately with a warm welcome, sat at the bar for some happy hour drinks. The bartender is awesome. I wanted a mojito STAT since I’m in the perfect place for delicious mojitos made right, no shortage of mints here =) The manager came over and gave me his business card. I purchased the Unilocal deal sitting on the patio overlooking the inter-coastal. I learned this side is called the inter-coastal, whereas the other side across the street is the beautiful warm Atlantic Ocean. Both sides have breathtaking views surrounded by water. I remember lots of high-rises, similar to being in SF, yet much more humid; although, you can’t enjoy a lovely dinner outside in SF without freezing your butt off. I told my Auntie how nice it was to sit outside and relax, as she’s always on the go making that dough and returning from some country. She had no idea this place existed. Endless boats passed by, friendly people waved to each other. Life seemed calm here… not so rushed like Miami or other major cities. The seafood paella was the best I’ve ever tasted and made with couscous — interesting! Our server was on-point. I had a wonderful dining experience here, can’t wait to come back. I told my Auntie how beautiful it must be around Autumn when the weather is perfect out here. Lucky Unilocalers in Hallandale Beach and nearby, keep spreading the Unilocal love about this place. Nice restaurant to also bring a date — FTW! Great spot for brunch. I had to head back to SF; otherwise, I would have stayed for brunch. ‘Til we meet again, cheers!

5 stars from start to finish. Amazing and welcoming staff and owners. It was our 1st time here and we felt like regulars. Strong drinks– solid portions. Also THEHAPPYHOURMENU(including drinks) ISUNREALCHEAP. This is my new favorite place in broward. Plus it’s in the intercostal. Come before brunch. Live acoustic and great menu.

This is a review for their Brunch. We weren’t wowed by the food, but this was a good find. The food was not bad, but it really could have been better. Based on some other reviews, I suspect things are better for dinner here. What I was impressed with was the location and the service. We were seated out on the patio where we could watch the boats ride by on the intracoastal(sounds like intercoastal to me). It was so relaxing, and I would say if the food were better this place could have been a home run for us. The servers were very attentive, and it was a total team effort. They kept our Mimosas and Bloody Marys filled and were very accommodating throughout the entire visit. Here’s where things feel short. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs didn’t have much yolk in them, and the polenta cake was so so. I did think the Asparagus was a nice touch though, and it was cooked perfectly. I decided I’m not such a fan of the Citrus Hollandaise sauce here also. As for Hubby’s steak and eggs, he was disappointed at the small portion. His eggs were way over cooked for him as he requested over easy. We aren’t the types to send food back although maybe they could have fixed these issues for us. For us, the real nice thing about this place was the patio seating. I did notice the inside of the restaurant was spacious and very nice, but we like to be outdoors and being seated next to the water was a treat. Hubby was even able to spot a school of dolphins playing in the area. My back was turned so I didn’t catch a glimpse of them quickly enough. It was cool watching all sorts of boats go by and some crafts were awesome. There was a nice gentle breeze that made this a perfect date location. The restaurant is located inside an apartment complex. So it’s kind of tricky getting to. We actually had to ring the buzzer because there was a gate at the entrance. We weren’t even sure we were in the right place except the voice on the other end said, «OK!» and the gate opened. We drove up the driveway and around to the back where the restaurant was. There is valet parking and that is it. It is supposed to be free, but I think the ticket said $ 5 on it, which is what I gave the attendant. I would like to give this place another try. I think it could be one of my favorite spots if they can deliver on the food. For now, I don’t think the quality and value are there for the Brunch.

I’ve been on a Groupon rampage lately, and Juniper on the Water was my next restaurant conquest. It’s fun checking out nice hidden places at a fun sizeable discount. I summoned for the grilled pawns appetizer and the half chicken. My companion ordered the pesto with chorizo. Our meals were decent as all was cooked well. But no WoW factor, nor a mmmmmm factor. But the view by the intracostal did have that relaxing ahhhhh factor! Good spot for an intimate dinner date followed by a walk in the sand. And that’s a Yesssss factor :)

It’s great when a place is so good you can declare it your, «new spot». Juniper is that for me. And not for the flocks of people pouring in, or a massive waiting list to just sit at the bar. O’ contraire mon frere! There is no wait. But it does have some elitist qualities you may or may not appreciate. It’s very tough to find. It’s very easy to imagine 50% of the wannabe patrons turning away because they couldn’t find it. Tucked in behind one of the high-rises on the inter coastal side of A1A sits Juniper. You have to go through the gates of the complex to get there, and once through you see construction in the way and no place to park. Luckily we walked over, but they do have free valet, so don’t be discouraged. We wouldn’t even have heard of it, but there was word of mouth that was spreading on Hallandale beach about the place, and we thought to follow up on the good things we had heard. We weren’t disappointed. Walking in, the first thing that hit me was the awesomeness of the long, lodge style dining room. Not a common design in south Florida, but I think it may have originally been a banquet hall for the condominium. And although my friends were split on how good the music was, I was diggin the Jazz lounge tunes wafting through the place. We were offered outdoor seating and took it. The ambiance outside was even better. Casual and romantic, it was great to kick back and watch the random boat troll past in the inter-coastal. This night we just got drinks and appetizers. I went with the house drink, The Juniper martini(Hendricks gin, quite good). The rest chose wines and a champagne. All served quickly. The apps were the calamari(excellent, and I’m picky on calamari), and a shrimp flatbread,(bland, crust too soft). A couple negatives at the end, but still a valid 5 star joint, if you can find it…
