Winn-Dixie

I only come to this store for emergencies since it’s pretty close to where we live. But this Winn-​Dixie is pretty weird. Depending on the day or time, you see a good array of characters coming in lol! Also I noticed that sometimes the shelves are barely stocked. The produce is not so great at times. Also the prices are a little higher then the one on the beach side. Go figure lol!

There was a quiet tone throughout the supermarket with a handful of early day shoppers, while a few of the employees was stocking shelves. This Winn-​Dixie located in West Hallandale may not be the best one I’ve been to, but overall, I like their weekly prices on items. You can stock up and save on essentials with the BOGO’s at Winn-​Dixie. The 10 for $ 10 and Buy 5 Save $ 5 deal gives you the option to mix & match items. If you’re clueless on what to make for yourself or your family, Winn-​Dixie has a make-​a-​meal deal where if you purchase a selected product, you get a few items along with it for free. I have to say, at times, Winn-​Dixie has better sales than Publix.
The only bad experience I had with Winn-​Dixie was with their ecoupons. It worked fine the first time I tried it, and I felt good knowing I was saving a little money by just uploading coupons to my WD reward card; but when using the ecoupons on two different shopping occassions failed and it didn’t reduce the cost of the products I purchased, I became puzzled and upset. I spoke to management about the situation and he didn’t understand why the ecoupons didn’t work… oh whatever. Now this minor problem didn’t persuade me to stop shopping at Winn-​Dixie, it just persuaded me to go back to the old fashioned way of clipping coupons.

I was looking for wet yeast, which they did not have. Otherwise, it was full of other groceries that I did not need at the time.
No biggie. Would be more star-​worthy if they carried what I was looking for.

Terrible service, if they cant find the price for something they wont sell it. I waited 30 mins in line to not be able to buy what i went there for.
The Manager Kendra is very rude and was very disrespectful. She didnt want to give me her name when i asked her.

Some things are super cheap, others are stupidly expensive.
The woman working at the deli counter is possibly turning 89 tomorrow and also can’t hear very well. Because of her I severely over paid for my turkey.
They only had olive hummus available, according to my dad. That’s gross.
The vegetables all look depressed and I don’t blame them.
The apples I bought were mealy.
I don’t expect all supermarkets to follow in the footsteps of Whole Foods but they made a REALLY big deal about their organic selection… all four items.
Still, egg whites, cereal, salad dressing = all insanely cheap.
I could never live in the south.
