Texas Snow Store Shaved Ice

There’s nothing particularly wrong or exceptional with the snow cones per se, however my issues with Texas Snow are fourfold. First let me say that we are snowcone regulars. We frequent all the local stands so I believe there’s fair comparison. That being said I’ve been here a small handful of times now and as evidenced by my rating I won’t be back. 1. Prices are higher than others nearby. It’s nice they take debit cards but even comparable to others that take cards, they’re still higher. 2. My sister asked her if she uses Best Maid pickle juice before ordering her snowcone and she told her definitively YES, however she flat out lied and it was something else, a cheaper product. 3. She won’t give samples. (Or straws for that matter, you have to ask). 4. I typically do not write personal comments in my reviews but this one I found necessary after 3 separate back-​to-​back experiences of rudeness. The same woman has been there each time I’ve been, the owner I presume. Any questions for her are met with inpatient, condescending responses, followed by over-​the-​top niceness as if she’s realized she’s being rude and trying to compensate. Seems a little manic to me. We’ve left feeling frustrated one too many times and won’t be back. I hate leaving bad reviews. *Sigh*

Accepts debit cards!
I’ve driven by forever and never had cash do I’ve never stopped. I’m so happy she accepts cards. We tried a chain snow cone/​shaved ice and it was lacking. This is the perfect little roadside stand. My daughter says we’ve found our place!

The best snowcone around! They have a ton of flavors, there’s always the perfect amount of syrup, and the lady is the sweetest! She accepts cards and is open late. Way better than the snowcone stand on Watauga Rd.

This was my first snowcone experience and boy did I underestimate how much I would love them! My boyfriend is a seasoned snowcone eater and when his usual place was closed we gave texas snow a shot, he was defiantly impressed and it has since moved up on his favorite snowcone joints list. They biggest perks: open late and accept credit. Never again will we have to scrounge around for cash or wonder if its too late for a treat. The owner is so friendly and makes a mean snowcone. We have tried a variety of flavors and love not only the traditional cream and condensed milk toppings but others like chocolate and caramel as well. This is my new favorite late night snack. My current favorite: toasted coconut, cookie dough, topped with caramel… it’s like a Samoa (caramel delight) cookie!
