Wayne is a straight up guy that does a great job at a fair price. I have never been disappointed with work he has done for me. I have been taking my boots here for at least 15 years. I have had several pair of Lucchese boots re-soled and re-healed by Wayne. He does work that looks as good as the factory and he will let you know if they are getting too close to re-sole. When I moved a little further east I found a guy just a couple of miles from my house. The work he did was not near as good as Wayne’s. That’s when I noticed that not everyone will shine a pair of boots after they make a repair. Wayne does. Worth the drive to Waynes. As long as he is in business, he’s got mine. Take cash or a check with you. No credit cards.

Wayne fixed my +1’s favorite boots, which were missing the heels, on short notice on a Saturday three hours before closing and saved the day! We were flying out to NYC and needed a speedy fix because a girl has to have her boots. I cold-called Wayne’s Boot & Shoe Repair based on Unilocal reviews and proximity. He was very helpful on the phone and offered to do the job that day for us at a very reasonable price. We dropped them off, went shopping and came back right before close to find the job done right on time. They were sitting on the counter and she didn’t recognize them because Wayne took the time to clean and polish them up at no extra cost. That’s great service! As we walked out she kept saying how unbelievably great they looked. We are happy customers!

The best. Period. End of story. He does an amazing job on heels, boots, my kids dress shoes. And he’s very timely and reasonable. The best. Hands down.

I dropped off one of my vintage oxfords because the heel made a popping noise when I walked. Dropped it off on a Saturday and drove all the way back out there the following Saturday to pick it up. The owner told me he couldn’t charge me in good faith because he couldn’t fix it. Fair enough. I got home and decided to see if I could figure out the issue as I couldn’t find a repair shop that wasn’t already closed for the day. Sure enough — the cap of the heel was loose. After we popped it off, we glued it back on and it was good as new after it dried. One of two things happened here: He is either completely incompetent, or he lied right to my face and never even looked at the shoe. It was a complete waste of my time, either way.

Excellent service. Got my boots re-heeled. Used quality Goodyear rubber replacement instead of thin rubber I’ve gotten at other shops, also through some polish on them for no charge. By far the cheapest and highest quality place around. It’s a small shop but it’s perfect. Also he only takes cash so remember before you pick your item up.
