Got a nail in my tire and dropped by to get it plugged. The owner could not even take the time to look up from his seat to see what I needed and cut me off in mid sentence when I tried to explain what I came in for. Both him and his mechanic made it painfully clear that it was a major inconvenience to patch the tire. Job took about 20 minutes to complete for a plug(read moving like pond water). I understand that they service a lot of agricultural customers that drop thousands of dollars there and $ 15 to plug a tire is way low on the priority list but it costs nothing to be decent to people. I was the only customer in the shop and when I walked in they were just sitting in the office so I do not think they were right in the middle of a big job or anything like that. Our family owned a small business in a small town so I understand how important it is to take a minute and interact with customers especially those that live locally. I was in no rush that day and if they had been busy I would have gladly waited or come back later. I live in the country and have 2 trucks, a car and 2 tractors and you can bet when I need to replace tires these guys will never see me in their shop again. That day I did not want to risk driving to far on the spare but next time I will load up the tire and drive farther to a shop that understands that the customer is the most important part of the business.
