Terrible. Ridiculous, unreasonable, nazi-esque, procedures that seem to be designed to create the most headache and as many trips to as many different locations as possible, all so they can steal some more money from you. Also, the vast majority of people who work at this place are rude, self-righteous, and just generally unpleasant. Ohio’s BMV system, and just general governmental burden, is ridiculous and rage inducing. Terrible.

Okay I did not have a terrible experience here. I did a one stop — drivers license and new license plates/registration. Yeah I had to come back bc I brought everything EXCEPT my ss card. In the afternoon they had 5 people working which was definitely sufficient. The line moved quickly. I was there for maybe a half hour. The service was efficient and fairly pleasant. I didn’t get a lot of attitude from anyone. It’s never a great experience at the BMV, but this wasn’t terrible.

No, I’m not changing the rating here, just updating. I sent several emails about the BMV website and the challenges of navigating it and finding consistent, valuable, accurate information. I received a terrific response from Greg Edwards with the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Motor Vehicles — Special Operations. Way to go, Greg! Excellent customer service!
