This storage facility is clean, secure, and Wanda was especially helpful with walking me through all I needed to know before moving my things into my unit. She guided me through what size I needed and also referred me to a great local truck rental company. They made my move easy!

I am not a habitual complainer. As you can see from my other two posts, I don’t post often, and when I do, they are generally positive reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot do the same for Compass Self Storage, or rather this locations operator. I find them greedy and non-understanding. First off, the facilities are clean and very nice; very easily accessible. The customer service is atrocious, at best. As a disclaimer, I am fully aware of my late payment, and the penalties that are outlined in the contract. My issue is with the operator/manager not following said contract. It states that AFTER5 days, a $ 20 late fee would be added. I had to leave town for a family emergency, and was unable to stop in to provide proof of my homeowner’s insurance. I wanted to do such to avoid the unreasonable $ 9/month that the facility charges. On the 5th day after my due date, I went to the office to provide the paper work and make my payment. She was OUTOFTHEOFFICE! I couldn’t stick around, and I was unable to come back that day. I called and explained, and she said that the late fee was already added as that day was the fifth day. I tried to explain that the contract said AFTER the 5th day, not ON the 5th day. She refused to budge and insisted that I pay the late fee. I did, and immediately started calling other self-storage places. They have now lost my business. Again, I understand that my payment was late, and if I paid it on the 6th day, I would completely accept the late fee, and this post wouldn’t be here. But that isn’t the case. She was premature in charging me. Save yourself any hassle and find another location.
