Another fan of Cox Saddlery. I remember going there when I was a little girl shopping for my first horse. Still enjoy going in there 30 years later, seeing what else I can add to my collection. I don’t buy leather products or bits, as I’m a fan of a certain brand, they don’t carry — but, they have just about anything else you could need.

I’ve been to a lot of tack shops, and while Cox doesn’t carry every possible thing you could ever need, they have plenty of stock in most everything you would need, and it’s almost always higher quality than what you would find at other stores like Tractor Supply. Whatever Cox doesn’t have, they seem to be able to order it in, and almost always for a very competitive price. Beyond that, the staff are outstanding and they really know their stuff. I suppose that comes from being active with horses themselves! Another nice aspect of Cox is that one of the ladies does leather repair in house. She fixed a problem with the fender on my saddle, and created custom leather straps for my wife’s Aussie. The work is fantastic, and the turnaround time was short — my saddle was repaired in just a couple of days. If you’re looking for a great tack store, you have to check out Cox. Family-owned and operated, this is a great way to support local business and get the best value in your gear.
