Jackson’s Market and Deli

This is a newer place in Hamilton. I kept meaning to stop here and I kept missing it. It’s hidden away in the old Elder Beerman building. There’s usually a little sign out front saying the soup of the day. I thought it was supposed to be more of a grocery store, but it turns out it’s more like a hip gas station. Need couscous? Check. Hummus? Got it. Bottled juices, small fruit center, deli and a few aisles of healthy and not healthy snackables? Yes.
It’s a pretty store and handy if you need something that isn’t beef jerky and are just passing through or work in the downtown area. I wish they offered more fruits and vegetables or vegan soup would be out of this world amazing. Nothing in Hamilton is vegan and that has to be some kind of untapped market.
Tip: I was there awhile ago (I posted this and it got moved to a place in California? Unilocal should know Hamilton is not California.), but when I was there, there was some construction going on inside. I opened the wrong doors to go out and an alarm went off! I, of course, turned and walked casually out the right doors. But there are (or were) doors with alarms there. Watch out.
