Their service is an unmitigated disaster. If you want to buy an RV from them, they are fine. But any servicing? They are passively rude and actively thoughtless. I purchased an Rpod in 2012(2013 model) and wanted a riser kit for it(because they ride so low to the ground). I called them several times over two weeks and got no response. I visited the dealer, got a sales rep who said he’d forward the message to the parts and service department. They called me after several days with the price and said they’d order it call me when the part arrived. That was almost three weeks ago. I went in again to the dealership last Saturday and everyone looked and me like I was a moron. They said the service department is closed on Saturday and they said that if I didn’t know who I spoke with they couldn’t help. No one from the service department left a name with me. This is just ridiculous! I found it laughable that the service department is not there on Saturdays. That’s funny, because according to the no less than five(5!) phone calls I made to them, they are not there on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday either! I don’t understand why a business would feel it just fine to so casually piss on their customers.

August 2014 I write this as I navigate my first new RV purchase adventure. I have done a TON of research over the past 12 months, basically sweeping the nation for best prices and best customer service experience to truly identify best value as I seek to purchase a new RV. I settled on Jeff Couch’s RV Nation, and so far I’m glad I did. I just purchased a 2015 Forest River V-Cross Platinum Travel Trailer(32VFKS) from this dealer, my sales representative is Ray Crain. I’ve had lots of questions leading up to the final purchase, even though I’m an experienced RV’er. Ray has been very patient and informative. We are driving out to Ohio from Seattle in two weeks to bring the TT home for what I hope will be a continued pleasant experience. We chose to drive out versus using a transport company because I refuse to pay delivery fees to the west coast($ 3000 is typical, I would rather spend that on an adventure!). I feel that I got the best price possible for the TT and I’m truly appreciative of this. The sales experience has been positive, both Ray and the finance team have been very helpful working with both me and my financial lender to get everything taken care of. I have had a TON of questions as I go through the many processes. I very highly recommend this dealer. The only reason that I’m not giving them five stars today is because the response time to my e-mails with a few additional questions(because one can’t think of everything to ask the first couple times) has slowed ever since I put down my deposit and esentially sealed the deal. Unintended I assume but this is very different from my pre-deposit communication experience. Disappointing. I can’t help but feel that I’m less important now compared to potential new sales. We’ll see if this improves. The delivery date is 09/02/2014. Update: 11/11/2014 I am downgrading my overall experience with Jeff Couch’s RV Nation from four stars to one because of the beyond poor post-sales experience I have been having with Forest River and JCRV’s lack of acknowledgement to my challenges. My new travel trailer has been in the shop for well over a month, basically since I got it to Seattle, with poor build quality issues and order fulfillment deficiencies. Jeff Couch’s RV has been ABSOLUTELY unresponsive and uninvolved in my repair nightmare as I have to instead work directly with the manufacturer and another local dealer in Seattle to get this rig up to the quality is should have left the plant with. JC’s RV has been informed of my challenges by me and the FR rep and have yet to even respond or offer their assistance! I know there isn’t a lot they can do, nor do I expect anything from them, other than demonstrated interest and an offer to see if they can help drive this mess from their angle. If I owned this dealership, I would be sure that my clients remain thrilled with their RV purchase well after the paperwork has been signed and the rig delivered. I can’t believe they don’t care more than this! BEWARE! Update 01/13/2015 FINALLYDONE! Just got the travel trailer home two weeks ago — seriously almost three months in repairs– but it’s now complete. I got a call from Jeff Couch himself yesterday, asking if the trailer was finished — and oh-by-the-way would you now edit your posting… so here is my final post to this review. As I reflect on my overall experience, I can say that I’ve been through RV purchase HELL and I can see why buying locally makes sense from an accountability standpoint versus going cross-country for the best price. And, post-sale, while there isn’t much that I could expect Jeff Couch’s RV to do from Hamilton, Ohio, when the trailer is being worked on in Kent, Washington– they could have done much better responding to my e-mails and phone calls as I pleaded for help. Bottom line, I needed someone to run the communications and expedite processes with Forest River, instead of being the customer trying to figure it out on his own. This was an opportunity for the dealer to do better and I’m still miffed about what I had to go through. When they did finally get ‘involved’, it was only after my last posting giving them a 1-star rating. And even then, the effort was weak. But today, I will give Jeff Couch’s RV a 3-star rating overall. Maybe that’s generous, but would I buy from them again? I have to say I might. They DO have excellent prices; I still look at my local dealer’s prices for similarly equipped TT’s and have to feel great about my purchase. But be smarter than I was– do not leave a dealership with your new rig until you are absolutely satisfied with the build quality AND the dealer inspection. Have an agreement in place for how any deficiencies will be handled AND by when. Do all of this before you sign the final check. If you can avoid the headaches I had, I think it’s very likely your overall experience(remember good pricing + great service = value) with JC’s RV will be a good one.
