Mitch’s Gun Shop

I have to give Mitch’s five stars because it’s honestly just a special place. A real dose of local flavor. Mr. Mitch and his employees are helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. Overall, just a good group of people to talk to.
The selection is eclectic. Their main inventory is firearms. There is a huge selection of both new and used guns. But this is one of the few places where you can drive away with a pile of guns and ammo, farm equipment and a boat on your brand new (to you) tractor trailer. The prices on guns are very reasonable.
There are also two gun ranges. These are not like other gun ranges you have been to. There aren’t stalls. But I am not aware of any place where you can pay $ 5 to shoot your own ammo on your own gun into a giant trash pile (bring your own targets… empty wine bottles, actual targets, be creative). If your gun was bought there, it’s free to use the range.
My husband and I have started bringing our visiting out of town guests to Mitch’s for a couple of hours of recreational entertainment. It’s a fun way to give them a really unique Mississippi experience!
