Planet Fitness – Hamilton

Staff extremely unprofessional. And very rude. The older women at the front desk needs a lesson in customer service.

This Planet Fitness opened back in June 2015, which is located in the Hamilton Plaza (Kmart). This new gym is open ²⁴⁄₇ and is very spacious which has plenty of new gym equipment, cardio machines, weights, tanning (black card spa), room to move around, big overhead ceiling fans, and clean locker rooms with showers.
There are plenty of treadmills and other cardio machines and overhead flatscreen TVs spread out across the long length of the center of the gym floor. There is a good variety of random upbeat music playing not too loud from the speakers. The stretching area (mats) is very spacious here, which is great!
I worked out here recently on a very hot and sunny day (80s outside). Once inside the gym, I was greeted at the front desk as I checked in with my Black Card (scanned). The gym inside was nice and cool with the AC blasting and the big overhead ceiling fans over the treadmills doing a good job of circulating the cool air throughout the gym. I did my long power run over 10 miles in a very cool and refreshing environment. Most of the newer Planet Fitness gyms have the big overhead fans, but at several locations the fans are only circulating warm air.
Of the many Planet Fitness locations I’ve visited on my travels, this location has the best HVAC system (big overhead ceiling fans working in unison with the overhead AC) in keeping the gym floor cool on a hot summer day. When I was done with my power run, I was of course sweating, but not drenched like at other PF locations.
I will note that I am disappointed with my home PF gym (Manchester NH-​Huse), which was recently remodeled, but the owners there decided not to install overhead fans and stick with portable fan stands near the cardio equipment.
