Horrible person, In my opinion
James called me on Friday 2 weeks after I had contacted HomeAdvisor and received 3 other estimates for my roof. I told him we had picked out a roofing contractor but he was welcome to come out. He arrived approximately an hour late, saying his previous customer kept him by talking too much. I should have known then that he was not trustworthy nor reliable, in my opinion. First, he wanted to come into the home, since he hadn’t inspected the roof and since none of the other roofers wanted to come into the home, I found this odd. My husband and me asked him to inspect the roof. He was up there 45 minutes??? finally came down and rang the bell. When my husband answered he told my husband that he would right now for 20,000.00 dollars, yes that’s right, 20,000.00 for 33 square. When my husband told him absolutely not, he said he was just kidding and he would start the job for 9999.00. All our other estimates were between 6 – 8 thousand. We asked him to leave the property and after a few insults on his part, he finally left. I don’t know if he thought we were ignorant or the kind of people he could take advantage of, but do not allow this person on your property. Certainly not the sort of person to put your trust in.
