Terrible. This place is dirty and crowded with people. The popcorn machine broke down and only one of the bigger rides was working. The bathrooms were dirty and the lines were long. People were smoking everywhere we went. We did not like corralling our small children around the clouds of smoke. We were excited to check out a small amusement park not too far from home. We will not be coming back. Save your money and travel to Kings Island.

Had a great time here on the family day on August 10th! The rides are all fun for the whole family. The airtime in the last row on the Tornado rollercoaster is insane. Don’t miss it if you love roller coasters! You also can’t beat the food prices. They had 1 dollar hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy… Not to mention they had free soft drinks all day as well. Sticker’s Grove is like a step back in time. So if you are looking for a fun inexpensive day doing things the whole family will enjoy make sure you visit sticker’s on their next public operating day.

I love me some Strickers Grove! A great little place to bring your kids. It’s not really near anything, nor is it open much to the public but the if you do go, it’s probably with your church, or work or the like so you’ll probably know most people there. If your child is under 36 inches, you’re SOL for most rides. Above that, you either ride with them or they can ride alone. Free soft drinks and popcorn save you the worry of buying stuff for the kids and the, wasting it.

I so enjoy Stricker’s Grove – it reminds me of Lesourdsville Lake and other places I used to go as a little girl. We go now, once a year, for my fil’s union picnic and it’s such a good time. It’s clean and well cared for, and the staff is always pleasant. You can bring in picnic lunches, but not alcoholic beverages. Plenty of kiddie rides, plenty of things to keep the adults happy, too. Unlike other amusement parks, where it can be overwhelming, I find there is «just enough» to do – arriving at noon, you’re ready to go by 5 or 6, contented and just tired enough. My 2 and ½ year old had the best time!

Stricker’s Grove is a family-owned small amusement park and picnic grove in Crosby Twp, in the western reaches of Hamilton County, outside Cincinnati. Considering the presence of Kings Island and the downsized yet very alive Coney Island, Stricker’s remains somewhat obscure, even to the locals. Different than the other larger, more commercial amusement facilities, Stricker’s is primarily a private facility that is rented out by companies, unions, organizations, and the like. However, there are usually four days a year that they are open: July 4, the second Sunday in August, Labor Day in September, and a Sunday in October. There is a good assortment of flat rides you expect to see at a classic amusement park, as well as two wooden roller coasters. One is the adult-sized Tornado: small in today’s standards, but still a good deal of fun. There’s also the Teddy Bear, a junior-sized woodie based upon the one once found long ago at Coney Island. A train ride encircles the perimeter of the facility, giving a nice, scenic ride. Many of the people who run the rides, I believe, are a step up from your traveling carnies– these are down home, friendly, family people you see. There is a large picnic shelter as well as many tree-lined picnic tables that make up the grove section. You can bring your own picnic food, or order grilled food– delicious and affordable! On the public days(excluding the 4th of July), soft drinks are free. There are also games of skill, an arcade, and a miniature golf course, too. I have to admit it’s not the most charming place, and the restrooms seem to be dirty when I’ve been, but in this day and age, Stricker’s is unusual, and that what makes it worthwhile, for an afternoon/evening of family fun!

This is one of the best family places around. It’s only open 4 days out of the year to the public unfortunately. This place is like a carnival with rollercoasters. There’s around 5 dedicated kiddy rides for only kids, and then some family rides; such as a carousel, ferris wheel, dumbo ride, and flying scooters. There are 2 rollercoasters there, one of which is great for kids just getting the feel of them. There’s also a ½ mile train ride that takes you around the property. even for a thrill seeker, the coasters have old fashioned buzz bars, and give you plenty of «air-time» to more than enjoy yourself! Plus most of the days they offer free parking, soft drinks, cotton candy and even free sno-cones(depending on the time of year). They also have a dedicated skee-ball arcade, regular arcade and good old fashion carnival games. They shut the rides down for an hour around dinner time, and you can either eat in the park(a hamburger plus chips, potato salad, and corn on the cob or baked beans runs you around $ 5) or you can bring in a cooler, tableclothe, picnic blanket, drinks, food, just about anything(except alcohol, which they do serve there) and picnic in their grove full of picnic tables or under their spacious shelter house. They also have a huge banquet hall for private parties/corporate picnics. I almost want to dock it a star for only being open 4 days, but even going once a season is well worth it!
