Back again for another visit, still liking the hotel with a few specific details that make it worth coming back — great water pressure in the shower; super comfy bed with warm blankets and my favorite detail: reclining chair to chill and watch tv or read– it’s a very nice room. Very clean, and considering the number of people here this weekend, very quiet. Compared with other hotels that I have stayed at recently, I wanted to put this out there as many places don’t really have this down– and a bad shower or uncomfortable mattress really take the fun out of a trip. I enjoy visiting this area and Wendt Inn is a really good choice for the lodging.

I stay here every time I’m in Central NY and opt not to stay with family. It’s reasonably priced and clean. Not much more you can ask for, and not much more you’re going to get in the area. My last time I stayed here was this past weekend, and I will say the mattress was a little hard. I had to keep turning from side to side because it got uncomfortable after a period of time. But overall not much to complain about. At checkout, I asked the lady at the front desk about the AAA discount and she said there wasn’t one. I didn’t fight her on it, but there is mention of it on their website.

Middle of the road hotel with clean, ample sized rooms and not too crazy of a price tag. The room décor is a bit dated and cheap, the bathrooms are decent though and always clean. There is no closet in the room though, other than this awkward half armoir like cabinet to hang some items from in plain view for whoever comes into your room. I always found it very weird. Continental breakfast has tasteless bagels. They didn’t even have orange juice when I was last their either. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional while doing an excellent job of maintaining the property well. It just really needs a better breakfast.

Perfect spot for the 4 th of July celebration and Hamilton reunion events. My partner returns home to Hamilton every 4 th of July and this wAs the first time he didn’t stay with family. The hotel is clean, the coffee is flowing and the location is perfect. There is always staff on hand to assist you. It’s about ½ mile from town and even though everyone drives, i walked in to town. This place is pretty basic, with no frills, but if you need a clean and quiet place, close to downtown Hamilton, this is perfect. The continental breakfast is abundant with bagels, muffins and donuts. They also have cream cheese and p nut butter. There is a basket of fruit which is left out all the time, so I was even able to snatch an ale after hours. There is always hot water for tea. Free WFii was a great and surprising bonus as wS cable tv. As far as eateries nearby, don’t even bother with VJ’s next door. Mc Donalds is across the street. The Colgate Inn had good food, but really disorganized staff. We had a decent meal in Sherburne at Nina’s… Its mostly Italian.

Visiting Colgate with another family on an upstate NY college tour. Good sized, clean, comfortable rooms — breakfast is a nice bonus — reasonable rates — would definitely stay here again.

Adequate. Covers basic needs(clean place to sleep and shower) but not much more than that. Continental breakfast was minimalist but edible. Good value; no bells or whistles.

Great place — large rooms, clean and comfortable. We had a health issue(nothing related to this stay) and late check out was immediately offered as a help. Recommended.

I stayed here during a business visit to the university. The hotel is comfortable, clean(much cleaner than most of the 4 or 5 star hotels), and extremely friendly. They have a lovely breakfast room and a fresh continental breakfast. The family that owns and runs this hotel is wonderful! During my stay I got very ill due to an adverse reaction to a medication. They called my room several times to check in on me, brought me tea and muffins in the fternoon, and checked again in the evening to be sure I had dinner. These are genuinely nice people who care about their customers. I would recommend this place over any luxury hotel.
