First time here i had the Catfish mamou and it was outstanding. For their catfish étouffée they use a tomato based sauce and it’s off the chain. This time around I had the chicken parm with linguni and a house salad. The red sauce was very good. Could have had alittle more cheese but overall it was very good. The best part here is the service. Some of the best around. Everyone is extremely friendly and make you feel at home. And for the single men out there, the watress staff here is beautiful. If Iwas a full time student at southeastern I’d be here all the time.

Tonight was the 1st time I went on their Steak Special night. I was pleasantly surprised. $ 14 for a nice size steak with a baked potato and salad. They didn’t skimp on the meat or the potato toppings. I ordered it medium rare. It came out perfect! It was so good that I didn’t need steak sauce. Oh, hell, I almost forgot to mention the service. It was right on tonight. Kudos!!! I’d say they’re giving Buddy’s Steak House a run for their money.

Yeah — Yeah — Yeah — The sandwiches are great… The burgers are great… The pizza is great…(specify your red sauce) BUTTHEMARSALA(pork chop wrapped in bacon) ISWHY I’M YELLINGWITHALLUPERCASE… But wait — there’s more… The Chicken Parmesan is AWESOME! We always went for sandwiches and pizza, until one day we looked past our nose and thought«Let’s live dangerously» and tried something a bit fancier. We were blown away! And it is consistently YUM!

Brady’s has been a staple in Hammond for a while. Even though the signs and name lead you to believe it’s an Irish pub, it’s not. The food here are burgers, sandwiches, Po-boys and some upper end items like ahi tuna, steak, shrimp, oysters, etc. For me, he fried shrimp and oysters have way too much breading and spices and it’s so much you can taste the shrimp or oysters. The burgers and sandwiches are good though and the prices are fair. Service. Hmmm. Some days it’s great others it’s just plain painful. Today for example, we ordered and it took 25 minutes to get 2 burgers. We ate in 5 minutes because we were rushed and then looked for the woman to get our check. 14 minutes later a guy walked by and saw me tapping my credit card and looking and said«need help». 5 minutes later we finally got a check. She never asked how we were or filled the empty drinks. Not cool. Enjoy! Or. Not. lol.

This place suffers the worst identity crisis I’ve ever scene. The name, sign, décor, and clovers all over the menu would leave you to believe that this is an Irish restaurant/pub. THERESNOTONEIRISHITEMONTHEMENU. NOTONE!!! No bangers and mash, not even shepherds pie for god’s sake. Here’s the freaking kicker… The only Irish beer on the list is guiness. It’s an Irish pub with only one beer from Ireland. But they have nachos and fajitas. They have spaghetti and chicken Parmesan. They have poboys and fried seafood. But zero Irish food. Imagine going into a restaurant with sombreros and jalapeños on the wall and it was called amigo’s but there was no tacos or any Mexican food of any kind. Just steak and potatoes. Service is a hit or miss, and food is decent. The server brought out our food and didn’t check up on us until it was time for a check. We watched as she flirted and made plans to grab a drink after her shift with the table in front of us multiple times during the hour and fifteen minutes she did not check on us. Took 15 minutes to get our checks and 10 minutes to receive our change. So annoying, lol

Stopped here after Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans. Service was kind of slow for a restaurant that was not too busy. Most options were fried, not many healthy options. We got 4 appetizers and split. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything to make me want to come back. Nothing homemade just frozen food heated up or fried.

Heather was our initial server — she explain she would not be our server but she wanted to check on us and get us started. After our drinks came, we teased her because she was at the restaurant even though she needed to go home and study. When asked if she was a Team Leader, she said no, but took the time to explain why her customers were important to her. That kind of dedication is a rarity, especially in the service industry. Just one of the reasons we always come back to Brady’s.

«French Onion Soup» was NOT French Onion Soup. Period. Chock full of… OREGANO??? Um. Why? No. No. It was like onion pizza broth. Very weird. Blech. We got the Shrimp Po Boy and the Creole Shrimp pasta. Pasta… meh. Whatever. The only reason this place got 2 stars was the shrimp po boy. Good stuff there. The waitress was either new, or… special. Not judging her, because I don’t know, but she needed help. Don’t see us coming back there ever.

We live in Hammond so we frequent Brady’s. Hammond is a college town so waitresses in these downtown restaurants tend to change out pretty regularly. Service is definitely hit or miss, but I’ve never had a terrible experience as some seem to have with no one coming back to the table. Prices aren’t bad, TVs everywhere if you like that sort of thing, we’re used to the dirty seats. Bar, patio, yadda yadda. Nachos suck, the spinach artichoke dip is better, catfish mamou is my favorite. It’s what you’d expect with the poboys, but the sandwiches are below my par due to the quality of meat. Salads are nice, but I’ve had the tomato basil soup special once that was horrible. I also hate that they serve the daisy sour cream packets. Nachos: heap of cheap chips only decorated on top with tasteless olives and cheese, microwaved and served on a paper plate. Hence the 2 star rating, please try a little harder.

Great place for lunch in downtown Hammond. The Chicken Tender sandwich is my favorite. This is my parent’s favorite place to eat when they visit from out of town. They have a varied menu and it is a comfortable atmosphere where they always have the game on(no matter what your sport may be…) The outdoor seating area is where the local college coaches have their mid-week interviews, so it gets crowded on those nights.

Food was really good. I had the catfish Poboy. Our waitress was quick to get our orders and drinks in. Then we never saw her again after. Rumor has it she was using black magic and accidentally teleported to Loranger. I attempted to summon her but I was attacked by orcs and I was unable to finish the ritual. We then left and decided to look for some new greaves at the Mariners dungeon. I was unable to get the greaves but I did get a rare Pokemon which I later cooked.

Loved this place in college but will never go back. Service was VERY slow to take my order and bring my drink/food. They were standing by the bar talking to guys so yes it was their fault. My mixed drink came the same time as my food if that’s any indication of the speed you can expect. The also got my food order wrong — twice. I’m not picky and I worked at a restaurant in college. They didn’t do anything right.

I came here after hearing they had great po-boys. My waitress Britt came right away and took my order. I ordered the catfish po-boy and it was fresh and Hot! The place was quiet and clean. I would have ordered the oyster po-boy but I didn’t want to be greedy.

My husband and I were staying in Hammond while on visit to NOLA in July and wanted to check out some local fare. Brady’s was just down the street from our B&B and looked popular the Saturday evening we went looking for something to eat. We ordered the Creole Italian Shrimp Sauté and it was VERY good — shrimp were well cooked, pasta was hot, and the seasoning was great. The wait-staff was very friendly and advised us well. There was no wait, we were seated immediately and despite the parking lot, there were many open tables inside. The atmosphere is nice, very clean, appears to be fairly recently renovated and comfortable. We would definitely go again. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars — it’s in a very remote/rural area so we were not expecting big city service or surroundings, but they did a great job and it fits in well with the nearby towns.

The service is NONEXISTENT!!! Restrooms are Not wheelchair accessible and a person with a walker might not be able to use the facilities as it is a very narrow restroom. The food is O.K. but not great. We were there today, Sunday, at 2 p.m. There were 5 customers at the bar, and 5 occupied tables… for about 30 people. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon in a small town. Our visit started out great. Nice atmosphere. Great Game on the T.V. and the volume was good… low enough to be able to converse with your party and also not be annoying to people that do not want to watch, but loud enough to hear the game. Waitress arrived promptly. Very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered our drinks. They arrived. Then I ordered the Grilled Tuna Plate, my husband ordered the Crab & Corn Soup and a burger, medium rare & sweet potato fries. The waitress returned right away and told us the Crab & Corn Soup was no longer available. So he then ordered the Shrimp soup. The Waitress brought my house salad and his soup. She returned to ask if the soup & salad were alright. She inquired about a refill on the drinks. So far so good. She brought our entrees. My tuna and his burger. Then it all went downhill. She NEVER returned to check on us. My sides, which she suggested I switch, were inedible. The grease/oil that had been used to pan sauté or pan fry the potatoes had burned so I could not eat them. The Tuna & burger were great but we really needed drink refills, and I would have Loved to have been able to get SOMETHING to eat with my tuna. A good server can entice you go return to a restaurant when the food is so-so. So-So food and nonexistent service equals the warning of GOSOMEWHEREELSE!

Brady’s certainly deserves more than a «blech» as one other reviewer put it. I’ve patronized Brady’s whenever I’ve come home to visit and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service has its ups and downs. There are times when the staff just«gets it» and other times where they’re just there. Over the past two weeks I’ve had many a lunch and dinner at Brady’s and these are my thoughts. The shrimp étouffée and the catfish mamou are off the hook. I can’t remember the last time I tasted something that was this good. The spicy catfish would be a perfect meal if they offered brown rice instead of white. If you’re in the mood for a sandwich try«Rick’s special» Some things that would be nice. Bring out french bread with the étouffée, serve french fries with the sandwiches, and offer sweetened iced tea.
