We took a trip across the country and stayed in some inexpensive hotels along the way. Apart from Tuscan, the Colonial Inn in Hammond was the best. We paid 60 bucks for a single with only 10 dollars for a pet deposit. The hotel was really cute, with nice fixtures and clean bedding. There was a mini fridge and a microwave as well as a table to eat at and nice furniture. The woman who helped us at the counter was really nice to us and let us stay an extra hour because we woke up a little late. The only improvement I can suggest is better soaps. They were really icky and oily. Thank you for such a great stay!

Sadly enough, this is one of the most rundown hotels I have ever stayed in. On a positive note, the young man at the front desk was polite. However, the room — #118, smelled like cigarette smoke and was dark and dated. The sheets were old and faded, and brown striped — not exactly inviting. There is also a safety issue because there is no additional flip-over lock on the door, so I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. With a little updating, this could be a good little budget hotel — but as it is now, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not recommended. I was looking for a cheap hotel, and I found it! There were no extras, like fitness center, spa, pool, etc. The room was about as basic as you can find. There was no coffee pot in the room, but they offer coffee in the lobby, along with their«free» breakfast. The breakfast consisted of cook your own waffles, mini donuts, coffee and bananas. There are about a dozen or more options in town, so keep looking before you book.
