My wife and I spent over 3 months searching and researching the perfect RV for us. Part of that equation was investigating the dealership. This was our first time purchasing a RV so we were very cautious. We are big on customer service and honest feedback. We visited several RV dealerships in the area and we left our contact information with all of them. We had several other dealership criteria that I won’t go into now… but our ranking is as follows: 1-Dixie RV; 2-Berryland; 3– It really doesn’t matter… the rest were all the same. We were pleased with every facet of the purchasing endeavor with Dixie to informing us about the RVs, negotiating a fair price, working the paper work, allowing us to spend night on lot, the hitch guy made sure we knew how to hook up hitch and even came back to ensure we were sure! Everything so far has been outstanding! We bought our first RV from Dixie RV in Hammond, great experience! I highly recommend them! Stan Bacon and Alex(sorry don’t remember last name), Chad Picone(finance) were all great to us!!!

To update: I made a comment on Dixie RV Facebook page with same content as above — and it has been removed to be replaced with their glorious ads of beautiful coaches and great service — DON’T EVEREXPECTTHAT — We were warned to never consider Dixie RV in Hammond as a reliable place for service by previous owners of other coaches, and we somehow thought it would be different for us — so to make a long story short — Don’t.

Dixie RV in Hammond claims to be the largest RV dealer in Louisiana so since I was in the area for a few weeks and actively looking for a new RV, seemed like the place to go. I understand that I am younger than the average RV owner, but after I drop a few hundred dollars in the attached RV supply store and ask to see some of their inventory, I’d expect to be treated like every other customer. The sales staff wanted nothing to do with me and actually sent someone out to ask me what kind of RV I currently drive before they can show me anything. She came back again to ask the vehicle year and was obviously annoyed by the back and forth that the sales staff was putting her through. On the third trip out of the office, she didn’t ask me what I wanted to see, but rather how much I was looking to spend. It was obvious what was going on and the«go between» person finally told me to just go out into the lot and look around, someone would be right out. After some time on my self guided tour of the largest inventory in Louisiana. She came out and confirmed what I had suspected — the sales staff didn’t think I was a qualified buyer. She admitted that she didn’t know much about RV’s but could show me the interiors of the ones that were open. She was very friendly, but not what I was looking to accomplish from my visit to Dixie RV «Superstore». Long story short — business must be really good for these guys. So much that they can turn away a guy with a six figure budget. They certainly aren’t getting my commission.
