We go once a year. The pizza is the best in the entire world. Service was a little slow on a very busy day or I would have given a 5 star review…

The pizza is good but the service and management leave a lot to be desired. We came in and ordered a pizza and we had a 9 year old with us that wanted chicken Marsala. The waitress was less than friendly which I can get over but not the best experience. The pizza was good and the Marsala was good as well but the young man was hoping there would be some pasta. We asked if he could have a little pasta and they said there would be a charge. We ordered it but my gosh… You couldn’t comp a small amount of pasta for a little kid? Very disappointed in the customer service.

2nd time here and really enjoy the food. A little pokey but definitely worth it. I would recommend this restaurant for their pizza and Blue Hawaii drink.

The waiters were not friendly or attentive. Sevice was horrible. Did not get a greeting or thank you from our waiter. Not to mention our food was cold and order was wrong. We ordered a bruschetta appetizer that we never received, the waiter forgot. I ordered marinara sauce on my pasta. I got meat sauce instead. When brought to the waiters attention, we did not get an apology. The atmosphere in The House of Pizza can be considered more of a neighborhood bar than a family restaurant. The above rating of one star is over rating the House of Pizza.

WHY does this place only have 3.5 stars?! Had lunch with a large group. We were very well taken care of and the food is super yummy. Great food. Great service. Umm… five stars. Seriously. I think they’re my new fave for thin crust pizza and their fried pickles are to die for. Tip: They can’t split your bill BUT they will accept different forms of payment to split at the register.

Food was great! Our server Jessie was great, funny, laid back and professional. A+ Our Hostess Cindy was excellent and even gave us great seats! Awesome! However, what was not awesome was that our stay was really REALLY uncomfortable because when a lady, whom we were told was the manager, came in and kept staring angrily at our table. It was obvious that she was upset that the three of us(kept using 3 fingers and angrily pointing at us while talking to 3 or 4 different staff members) had a corner booth. The place was only half full, but whatever. Debbie the manager made our stay uncomfortable and you could tell via the demeanor of the staff that she made them all uncomfortable(not just our servers). It was like she had a cloud of bitterness following her wherever she walked in her beige slacks.

Sangria is my favorite drink. I was at The House of Pizza today and the Sangria was horrible. It was tart and watery tasting. I asked for the manager to let him know. He refused to rectify the situation. He wouldn’t exchange it. He said they only make adjustments on food. I was stuck with a nasty drink. YUCK!!!

Oh yes! I have been waiting to do this review for a long time. Now the ownership of this business has changed hands a few times the pizza is still great! This is region pizza at its best! It’s greasy, it’s cheesy, it’s what The Region is all about! The bathrooms are clean, the atmosphere is great. it’s a nice place to take your kids as the restaurant is divided and on one side you can enjoy a family dinner away from the bar And then there is the bar itself; it is a horseshoe shaped bar and a dining area that is very big There is a separate wing of the restaurant where you can celebrate birthday parties also The food is really good… they also serve your traditional appetizers… if you want a burger or grilled chicken they have that also. Sometimes the parking can be rough; but that’s only because the place is always jammed packed Great regulars, great service, great food But there’s a secret to region pizza EXTRACHEESE!!! Always Order Your Pizza with EXTRACHEESE

This is by far my favorite pizza place in the region. Their thin crust pepperoni and sausage is the best. Their sauce is very unique, I haven’t tasted anything similar to it at any other pizza restaurants before. I would recommend getting takeout as the interior restaurant is just okay. Be warned that the pizza is slightly more pricey than its competitors.

The food is really good. We’ll, at least the pizza is. However, the service is horrible. My job frequents this place for functions and staff meetings but each time, the service is crappy. No worker is ever friendly. If there was a better option as close to my house, I wouldn’t order fom here anymore.

Just all around bad. This is the kind of place you would see on a reality TV makeover show. Been there forever and it really has a decent bar/dining area but everything else about the place just down right sucks and thats a bummer because things were much better here in the past.

I love the food here. The pizza and wings are probably the best I’ve had in Hammond and the waitresses are always friendly.

Not bad, not great, could be a lot worse, I don’t know if it could be a lot better in this economy. I mean they could price themselves out of business by going all out on service and all that. I know what to expect so I am never disappointed. I prefer the value and flavor of pizza from Toni’s in East Chicago and usually drive there from Hessville instead of HoP. HoP is way better than Key Pizza. .Pizza is kinda like a lawn, it doesn’t have to be great, just better than next door… :/

So instead of making things right I get a call today from House of Pizza threatening me that they are going to contact their lawyer if my friends and family don’t stop posting he said we are telling lies nothing I’ve posted has been a lie and they continue to show poor customer service.

Really good Italian Beef. The staff was super nice. I went with a regular but I got the impression that they’re just as nice to strangers

Atmosphere is 2 stars, but the food was good enough for 3. First, the service is pretty terrible — it was really apparent our server’s mind was somewhere else, the hostess at the front was rude, etc. Also, the place is pretty shabby and for some reason they have TVs everywhere playing TV movies, not the usual sports or something. It just seemed so out of place… weird. BUT the food was a pleasant surprise! I got the veggie panini with fries and cole slaw & the serving was huge and delicious. My boyfriend got a pizza and especially liked the taste of the sauce.

Hello FOODSNOB here. You can still get good quality Pizza in Hammond. Place has been here for many years. I believe its the same owners. This place ranks up there with Aurelios in North Hammond. I have not tried it but a couple of Italian Immigrants I know say the Pasta with Marinara sauce is pretty good too.
