Delicious. Stopped on our way to Mississippi and was pleasantly surprised. Great service, food came out fast, very good. Great salad bar.

Pretty Damn good. I had the seafood platter. It was nothing special yet off the hook. No carrots at the salad bar, that’s wack, but it’s was ok. I recommend this place if you in Hammond.

Murphy’s Seafood has a plain, but nice, neat, & clean exterior and interior. It could be described as cozy and somewhat upscale. I ordered the Seafood Platter ($ 20.00), which came with a side of baked potato (but, other choices, like broccoli, were offered as well), along with an outstanding crab cake (loaded with big chunks of crab meat), big strips of catfish, fairly large and succulent fried shrimp, and tiny oysters (this is a bad year for oysters). The baked potato was big. The seafood batter was light tasting and not greasy. Overall, this is as good a seafood restaurant as any other in southeastern Louisiana. I highly recommend it. By the way, they are also noted for their Italian dishes and steaks. RJT

Pretty fair prices but the food was worth it. Nice sized portions and a very friendly staff. The waitress checked on us frequently and explained some items on the menu that helped us feel reassured in our choices. Great fish tanks as well to keep the children entertained.

Stopped in for the first time the day before Thanksgiving since our favorite catfish place, Middendorf’s, was closed. Murphy’s was a pleasure surprise. Great attentive service and the food was good. Had the crabclaw starter and then shared the combination seafood platter. Good amount of food, nice fry and good value. Will be back next time in the area.

Cute ambiance, friendly staff, AMAZING food. HUGE portions. I ate my left overs for 2 days after our dining there. My husband, mother in law and myself all agreed it was a good choice. My MIL who had dined at this place many many years ago while my hubby was still a child, said the food was just as good as it had been when she had first dined there.
