Typical overpriced greasy-spoon region restaurant. the food is good. mostly everything is deep fried… the restaurant is clean. cool décor on the walls… however the corn beef sandwich has been awesome every time I’ve ordered it Overall this is one of my favorite greasy spoon restaurants. but you will get burnt out on it real quick if you eat it regularly Again the menu prices are high.

Food was bad, bland taste and mushy fries. I have been here several times and it was bad each time. On top of having bad food the service was slow with a side of attitude. I would not recommend waiting your money in there, you can see why it’s always only one or two people in there.

I bought a hotdog and fries from this place and noticed the cook/owner preparing my food with his bare hands. He placed tomatoes and onions on my sandwich with no gloves or utensils. Cross contaminating the condiments. He never cleaned his hands only wiping them off on his pants. After I saw this I requested my money back and he refused. Please be careful if you choose to eat here.

I was here once a year or two back when they opened. Now I remember why I don’t come back after recent visit. Place is nice and clean. Decent parking and nice neighborhood. I went little after lunch time. No one was in their only the two employees. Placed my order for a beef sandwich w fries and water. $ 10. Yikes they charge for water. Ok a cup completely full of ice and some water. Charged for red sauce. I never had that charge anywhere and just a package size of ketchup of red sauce. Food was ok but gave it to me in a bad when I was eating their. Went to use the bathroom and seemed locked. Waited then asked the lady about it as their were no signs it was locked or to ask for key. She had to personally unlock it for me. Like I was in bad area and couldn’t even be trusted with a key. Next time ill go back the few blocks to Columbia Gyros. For the $ 10 price I could have had a nice beef sandwich, fries and pop at Kilroy’s in Lansing for that price seriously.

So I walk into the place at a quarter after 11 on a Friday. The door bell narc’s me out and I find myself standing at the counter. The place is totally empty and that includes employees. A couple of minutes later Mr. Mullet comes around the corner. We are alone! I had the double cheeseburger special with fries and a drink. When I handed him the money I wanted to run out the door. A 2 inch pinky nail. Really! And then the phone started ringing and another customer walked in. He took this guys order and let the phone ring. Then he picked up the call and then started making my food. Ohhh! I didn’t realize this was a sit down restaurant. The pinky nail should have tipped me off as to the class this place was oozing. The smell of bleach made me believe that at some point a mop passed this place by. I got my food at 11:45 and at that time the cashier walked in and got behind the counter. The burger was pretty good, but I would pass on the fries. Actually, I am going to take a pass on the whole experience. I came. I Unilocal’ed. I ran!

This is a good place to go if your body is craving that heart attack. This place is full of awesomeness that’s totally bad for you… but that’s okay, once in a while ain’t gonna hurt! The place is never busy, not at least the half dozen times I’ve been there anyway. The place is clean and I love the décor. The food is great I tell you. There’s always plenty of parking and the dining area is pretty big.
