I never write anything bad about a business. This is my first. On Father’s Day, I went to the store at 7:30am, thinking it was open. But when 8am came around the doors were still closed. People were waiting outside at 8am. Then at 8:05 some people left to go to a different store. One lady stated that this store always open late between 15 to 20 minutes late. At 8:15, that morning I left empty handed. The purpose of my trip was to get some arracherra for Father’s Day. This place left a bad taste in my mouth. I decided to go the extra mile to East Chicago for my Mexican foods.

A friend of mine suggested that I try this market out and I was impressed. The market includes produce and a butcher in the back. The arrachera that I purchased turned out tender and the pico de gallo was also yummy. I was equally satisfied with the marinated chicken fajitas. I can’t wait to go back to sample some of the baked goods and sweets.

This place is incredible. After returning from Mexico I missed all of the chile limon chips and other munchies that I became addicted to while there. This place had everything I could possibly want. The best part about this place is the meat counter which has premade steak taco meat, seasoned pork, chicken fajita meat, ceviche, chorizo and on the weekends barbacoa, carnitas and menudo. I stocked up on Mexican coke, homemade guac and pico, cheese, produce, etc. The best part — we made the steak tacos and they were great. My husband thought probably the best he had ever had.
