Service was good but pizza was burnt on the edges and the crust was like cardboard. This used to be my favorite pizza restaurant.

This is my 4 year old favorite place to eat. She loves the sweet sauce along side a full order of cheese sticks. The service is a slow at times but the pizza always comes out hot and good. We’ve ordered multiple pizzas and I’ve never been disappointed with any of them. It’s a great place to go and it’s almost always busy during peak dining times.

The food was really good and the portions are pretty big. Everything we got was shareable. The spaghetti with meat sauce was a very large portion, but had a lot of meat in the meat sauce. The Mexican pizza was really good as well. We started with spinach and artichoke bread sticks. It was my first time having that. We got the half order, and it was big enough to share between 4 people. The inside was a little cold and on the dark side. More light and a more comfortable temperature would have been a plus. Great experience though.

I would rather give this place zero stars, but this app won’t allow that. My husband and I walked in and sat down at the bar. We were not acknowledged for several minutes by both bar tenders. They were at the bar but were socializing with their friends. One of them finally asked what we wanted. We asked about different drinks she could make and she said, «Let me just give you a menu.» She gave us a menu and then disappeared. Finally, the other bar tender asked us what we wanted. We told her, and she started tending to OTHER people’s orders who came in AFTER us. Then the OTHER bar tender came back and asked us what we wanted. We told her and she never gave us our order. Frustrated, we got up and walked next door to Blackened Brewed and had a blast and received GREAT service and fabulous drinks! I DONOT recommend Thommy’s on Thomas. We will never go back! My husband and I enjoy drinking specialty drinks from bars, so we expect to pay premium prices. Due to the extra work that it takes to make a specialty drink, we tip very well. Knowing that, I almost felt sorry for the bar tenders for their very unprofessional attitudes. The other bars’ bar tenders received very nice tips for their service and quality drinks.

I’m so disappointed in this place. I visited once a few months back and was thoroughly unimpressed with the long wait times and mediocre food. Tonight, I decided to give this place one more chance and I completely regret my decision. It was crowded when I and a friend arrived, but we were seated within a few minutes. We ordered a round of beers that came to us warm. The salad and app took a little longer than expected, but both were good and the delay wasn’t extreme. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. The entrees finally got to us about 70 minutes after we ordered. Our waitress was friendly and kept us updated on the food, which is the only reason we didn’t walk out. I was expecting my manicotti to be the best thing I ever tasted after such a wait, but no such luck. It was cold and watery and the melted cheese atop had cooled to a solid mass of hard cheese. I took 1 ½ bite and sent it back, it was absolutely disgusting! The waitress was sufficiently apologetic but did not ask if I wanted to order something else, just said she’d take it off the bill. We left and I was still starving so I went down the street for tacos. I will not be coming back here again. So disappointed.

Wow! My sister had been telling me about this place but our tastes aren’t always the same. I finally had the chance to try it our and all I can say to her is thank you. I started with fried artichoke and it didn’t disappoint. This was my first taste of the delicious sauce. The artichoke were nice and crispy. Next on to the pizza. At my sister’s recommendation I went for the plain old pepperoni and boy am i glad I did. The sweet sauce greatly complimented the salty pepperoni and the amount of cheese was perfect. Very casual although a little small inside. I’ll definitely be back!

Let me start by saying I’m Italian and from the Chicago area, so we take pride in knowing good pizza. Of all the restaurants in the Hammond area, this place is a gem. It should be franchised out around the country, it’s that good. There is only one other pizza place I like better in the entire country and that speaks volumes for this place. Some special items I never pass on are the buffalo and bayou breadsticks. The buffalo breadsticks have buffalo chicken on them and the bayou breadsticks have alligator sausage. Their dipping sauces are fantastic and don’t stop at just those, the wings, shrimp and other appetizers are all great. My favorite pizza is the Luna Rosa which is like a meat lovers and ask for it with the«sweet sauce». You should also request«a sweet sauce on the side too» because the stuff is awesome. You will see locals pouring the sweet sauce over their slices or dipping their pizza in it. It sounds different but trust me, it’s awesome. The voodoo pizza is also a favorite and even if you just like plain cheese, you will love this pizza. Drinks you say? Tommys has a nice bar area with plenty of local brews like Abita on tap. The service is friendly, quick and the atmosphere is family friendly. I have asked my employees many times where they want me to cater food in for many of our parties and 9 out of 10 times it is Tommys on Thomas. If you don’t like it I will give you your money back!(Well, not really but I haven’t ever had a complaint from anyone I took there). Enjoy!

Jason here, food finally came out. Great pizza. Sadly it took my entire evening to gain access to doe and cheese. The food is great but with the service as poor as this, it makes you wonder why you waited two hours to eat a slice of pizza. Food — 3.5−4 stars. Service 0 – 1. Management over the serving staff and bar staff needs assistance and/or actual supervision and training. Keep up the good work on the kitchen but tickets must get processed faster and the servers need more training. Check on your table, and keep them posted on why the wait is so long, refills and offers for more drinks keep patrons busy and less focused on the extreme wait time. A «burner issue» doesn’t help calm a table that food is being sent out to tables seated after yours and certainly doesn’t satisfy why water and drinks weren’t fulfilled in a timely manner. Food for thought.

I love this place! They have some of the best pizza in south Louisiana, with that being said, the wait time is outrageous. It doesn’t matter if you come in during a Tuesday afternoon when there are only four other people eating or if you come in during a busy Friday and it’s packed! Waiting for your food to come out to the table is the worst part.

New to town and looking for all the new spots that’ll be on my regulars list. This place is top of the list. EXCELLENT service from the bar tender, good beer selection and top notch food. They actually have some interesting, not just normal pizza joint offerings. I immediately noticed that they use fresh ingredients which is a big plus for me. They sealed the deal when they told me they also have live music. They would have 5 stars if it weren’t for that dam sweet pizza sauce! I get it though, it’s different and probably has a lot fans. You can opt for the reg sauce.

Not that great. The pizza was average. The zesty sauce was nothing special. I have had much better pie.

I’m not into sweet sauce on my pizza being from the New York area, but I have to say that it was good. You can also order traditional sauce which I didn’t know about. Tommy’s has a good menu and haven’t had a bad service yet.

This is a tough one because I have had good food and OK service here previously but this last time the waitress sucked. My daughters and I were talking for a few minutes to the waitress about getting a deep dish pizza. We then ordered a «deep dish pizza», not knowing that they don’t make deep dish just thick crust. But the less-than-astute waitress never told us that. Duh! Do you know what you are serving? Then I asked her about a beer on the list. She replied, «I don’t know. I don’t drink beer. I drink whiskey.» Really, that’s your answer? How about, «Let me get you a taster.» or «I will ask and get right back to you.» Does anyone train the servers here? When she brought over a flat Goose Island IPA I went to the bar to get a fresh beer. Tommy’s is decent but they really need to step up the staff training and not just hire young people that don’t care.

Was in Louisiana all the way from Idaho and my family was sure to have us try Tommy’s. We went and had some cocktails and beer one night and I loved the atmosphere. Nice people, good vibes and the drinks were excellent. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, friendliness of the the staff and how good the drinks were(I had the Gnarley Barley Catahoula Common, local beer with great taste). We didn’t end up eating there that night, but we ordered takeout and their high praise was well worth it. We tried a variety of pizzas and pizza sticks(Greek pizza, BLT pizza, alligator sausage cheese sticks to name a few) and everything was great. What makes this eatery even better is if you take it home, ITSJUSTASGOODCOLD! So if you’re ever in Hammond and want some good brew, good food and great leftovers stop in at Tommy’s on Thomas.

Excellent pizza, great beer specials, 4.00PITCHERS on Monday ! Had their original sweet sauce on a sausage and pepperoni, reminded me of IMOs pizza in St. Louis, good and fresh but an acquired taste. They have traditional pizza sauce for the non adventurist out there.

I’ve never had great service here, but the food more than makes up for that. Always and I repeat always start with the buffalo breadsticks. If it is just two people then the half order for 6 dollars will do, but you must try them! I also enjoy their Caesar salads. The pizzas comes with a traditional sweet sauce which is very very tasty. I like to get a thin crust with pepperoni and onions. My boyfriend and I split the half order of buffalo breadsticks and an individual pizza last night and it was a perfect amount of food. Those two things with a coke came to 16 dollars which is not bad at all. If you are in the mood to drink, their strawberry lemonade martini is awesome! Don’t leave Hammond without eating here!
