Georgie’s Grill and Dairy Bar

Well, we stumbled upon this place when searching for gas. What a great find. This place is doesnt look like anything special from the outside but the food is excellent. We stopped twice over the weekend. On the way to AC and on the trip back. we had grilled cheese the first time that was very tasty. They use the good cheese. On the return trip i had a chicken cheese steak that was beyond delicious. Gf had a cheese steak that was excellent as well. I also had a large chocolate shake that I finished before leaving it was soooo good! I cant wait to go back to AC. This place is reasonalby priced, had excellent food, personable service and very clean.

wow! what a find! from the outside, georgie’s looks like a run-​of-​the-​mill dairy bar but the food… wow!
what drew us in was the sign that advertised pressure cooker fried chicken and $ 10 rib eye dinner. inside it has a 50’s hamburger joint feel. the menu didn’t look impressive but the food… wow!
the fried chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. although we prefer the crunchy crust variety over the soft crust, we appreciated how the chicken was well prepared.
the star was the burger. it looked like a regular burger but one bite and BAM… bacon? the burger had an enjoyable bacon flavor with no bacon present. GENIUS! with a toasted bun and caramelized onion to compliment, this was possibly one of the best non-​gourmet burger i have ever had.
we ordered a side of the sweet potato fries. it was creative, it had a nice sugar coating, and it was delicious. my only critique was that it was slight overkill because it was too much like a dessert.
the butter pecan milk shake was thick and delicious!
the cook came out and asked us how we liked the food. he was a really nice guy and seemed sincerely interested in our feedback. he even suggested some dishes for us to try next time.
word gets around about a good place. georgie’s just opened a few months ago and the word must have gotten out. the cook creates a friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
overall, it is always nice when a cook puts care into preparing his dishes and you can taste the care.
