Great place. Spacious, clean family style Italian dining room. Good menu with a healthy choice of Italian standards and great seafood choices. Had the Scungili sautéed in red gravy and it was perfect aldente. Eggplant rollatini was solid as well.

A great place for semi-casual group dinners or parties! They have a party room in the back. Otherwise, I am not a big fan of the atmosphere of the dining room, but I do enjoy eating in the bar area or getting takeout. The service is just OK. They have a lot of young servers who are nice but our most recent server did not know anything about wine(she was confused when we ordered the«house red» and brought a full carafe rather than the half). The older, regular servers are better, especially if you are a regular, but they are not the most upbeat. I have so many favorites here! This is one of the only places I go where I get something different every time because they have so many great options. The best is the pizza bread they bring to the table(their regular table rolls are great too!), the pesto sauce(I like it with wheat penne), and the margherita pizza. These are all consistently phenomenal! The seasonal pumpkin gnocchi is amazing! I don’t normally like gnocchi because they are so heavy, but this dish is somehow super light tasting, like tasty little pumpkin clouds in your mouth! Other favorites are the penne vodka, buffalo chicken cheese steak, long hots, and minestrone soup.

I can’t believe I never reviewed Iliano’s! Hubs and I really enjoy coming here, and have come here often over the past three years or so. I can’t believe some of the negative reviews– I’ve never had a bad meal here! From pizza to salads to dinner specials and wine, everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious. I just had a Cappriccio Salad and it was amazing. Hubs got a medium pizza and ate almost the whole thing lol. I usually make a point of ordering one of the nightly specials– they’re almost always out of the ordinary and amazing– from octopus salad to swordfish served with mushroom risotto to moré traditional homemade pastas, everything is fresh and elegantly presented. The one thing I can say is that the service the last two times has been a little careless when it used to be flawless, but nothing to get us all worked up over. Also, don’t come if you’re in a rush– it’s not that kind of place. But the food is worth the wait!

Drove all the way from Maryland to enjoy my favorite homemade ravioli. Great family owned restaurant. The food is awesome and great service.

My 16 year old son and I ate dinner here after a soccer tournament in Hammonton. The waitress was nice and fast. The food was so-so. I had hoped for more flavorful spaghetti sauce in an Italian section of New Jersey. The meatballs were good.

We needed a place near Hammonton that had good reviews and reasonable prices– this is the place! The gravy is just right– not too bitey but full of flavor, the veal was fresh and tender and the mixed drinks yummy! We will go back!

Such a shame, the service was wonderful, but the food was down right awful. The salad was horrible, the wine tasted dirt cheap, and my gnocchi came sitting in a pool of water. Avoid.

The Seniors(12 of us) visited the restaurant today 4÷20÷15 and we were treated with a great dining experience. Knowledgeable wait staff and a warm greeting from Lady Lucia was warm and professional. The food was some of the best Italian I have had in a long long time and not one displeased senior with, in itself is amazing. Thank you

Visited for a celebration recently and had a vastly better experience in their private party area — nice service and food, and a well kept party area that added to the good energy of the days’ events

Good portabella mushroom appetizer. Their bread is good. The pizza was good — I miss NJ pizza so much! The ambiance was flexible — good location for a first date, a quick bite or a formal dinner. The only drawback was the place was very busy, also we waited a bit for the pizza — more than I’d expect. Still, the server was nice and the food was good. A solid 3 – 3.5.

I have been eating at Iliano’s restaurant for 6 – 7 years and it has been consistently excellent. I am surprised at seeing some of the less than stellar reviews but it seems these folks were evaluating it at as a pizza parlor-this is far more than that although candidly I have never had their pizza. When I travel the 10 miles or so to get there, I am looking for something a bit more complex than pizza. For instance, this evening, we tried the octopus salad appetizer that was as good or better than any restaurant in Marlton, Cherry Hill, Voorhees or Philadelphia. As an entrée, my wife and I each had the chicken special with a roasted red pepper cream sauce that was nothing short of spectacular-a side of the lightest gnocchi I have ever eaten looked to be too much to consume but because they were so light, finishing them was not difficult. The cost of all this was less than 35 per person along with other appetizers(fried calamari and their signature bruschetta bread)-the waitress was very attentive and efficient and the owner stopped by the table to talk with us for awhile. A top rate dining experience at a price that is easily 30 percent less than surrounding towns. Obviously, I highly recommend this establishment. phil mammano

A very unpleasant dining experience. The vibe of the place is not very comforting once you walk in past the bar. My family felt so uneasy we decided to order our pizza as a take-out order. The dining area has a very sterile feel even though the owners have taken steps to decorate it. Even the picture from a past Unilocaler is an old one of the outside façade. It has been renovated and looks nice on the outside. Perhaps the uncomfortable feeling comes from the dining area being too big. It screams out to be used as a banquet hall. We got both cloth and paper napkins. Our drink orders come out with glasses, bottles, and cans. The place hasn’t decided if it wants to be a fast food place or dining in restaurant. It suffers from a personality disorder. Our waitress Amanda was nice. Our complimentary bread with sauce was a bit too garlicky. Our large pepperoni pizza was salty and(again) not to the Italian pizza caliber I’m used too. The crust was tough. However, I must say if I would rate the pizza on look alone it would be a five… it looked delicious! Honestly, it saddens me to give Illiano’s such a low rating since it’s clear they are trying. I’d give it 1 star if it wasn’t for this reason. Unfortunately, it needs a lot more help. Oh and I forgot the most important thing, no pizza delivery!

From Philly, working on a project in Hammonton. We knew we needed to eat Italian food sometime, and Illiano’s didn’t disappoint. Went for lunch. The rolls you get at the beginning are yummy, soft, pizza dough rolls served with olive oil. Side salads with entrees are meh, so maybe next time get the minestrone. The main dishes were very yummy. I got spinach ravioli with pomodoro sauce. The sauce was soooooooo good. My colleague got amatriciana on fettucini and enjoyed it. Huge pasta portions, enough for 2 people to share for sure. Service was fine. I’d recommend this and it’s right off the highway if you’re on your way to/from the shore.

Hammonton has waaaayy too many Italian restaurants. Illiano’s is the only one I’d ever spend a dime of my money at. As I’ve said in some of my reviews, I tend to be more critical of Italian restaurants than any other cuisine, and Illiano’s consistently hits the mark. The penne caprese and white pizza with broccoli and tomato are my favorite meals. God I ate so much of this stuff when I lived in Hammonton. When I was 15 and my first boyfriend broke up with me, I subsisted entirely on Illiano’s spinach wraps and french fries for a week. Literally! That is love. I love their expansion and the new bar and their desire to make the place feel more upscale; the food definitely warrants it. Ample portions of al dente pasta, tomato pie that is to die for, and authentic Italian hospitality; meaning that there’s a good chance one of the owners or their wives will be coming around to talk to you like they’ve known you for years. Having worked here for a year in high school and having gone to school with almost all of the Illiano kids, I think I’m in a good position to vouch for this family’s generosity and genuine character. This is a great family running a great business: serving up Hammonton’s best Italian food.

If you are stuck in shore traffic, this would be a great place to decompress. Illiano’s is located on Rt. 54, about 1 mile north of ext 28AC Expressway. They offer Pizza, Sandwiches, Pasta and very nice bar. I have been here several times and they always seem to accommodate even on days they are packed. Seating includes, dining room, casual area and a 15 seat bar, which is the hot spot. Two large flat screen at the bar can be seen from all casual seating. The menu consists of all the Italian favorites, Pizza, Pasta, Eggplant, Chicken, Veal and Daily Specials. My favorite is Penne with any one of the fine sauces. They are made with fresh ingredients and pasta is al dente. They always include a small house salad, tomato pie and pizza dough rolls. Servers are always friendly and helpful. Wait time is at a minimal. Food **** Consistent, Fresh Service **** Friendly, Attentive Atmosphere **** Upbeat, Chic, Nice Bar Value ***** Can’t beat it Experience ***** Fun crowd Tip — Fried Smelts are readily available throughout the year and ROCK! I like Illiano’s! Here’s what they do… They serve up Italian food… Good Italian food… At a reasonable price… And know what else they do? They attempt to offer their food in a nice environment! With a dress code!!! Now don’t get worried, it isn’t super strict… But things like no tank tops, no men with sleeveless shirts… For those of you NOT from South Jersey, people here love to wander out and go shopping in their pajamas… So it is nice to have a place telling you to get your life together. :) They just expanded as well. They added a full bar and a take out door around the back. My brother and I picked up some take out last night… Chicken Parmiganna w/spaghetti, Gnocchi Caprese, and some garlic bread… $ 29 for everything. HUGE servings… The gnocchi was definitely over cooked. I’m not going to lie about that… Almost enough to drop the rating to three stars… But everything else I’ve ever eaten here has been on point, so I’ll forgive… THIS time. Anyhow, good homecooked Italian food, great if you don’t want to dine next to someone in flip-flops and tweety bird t-shirts. I applaud you Illiano’s for attempting to bring Hammonton a civilized establishment! Keep up the good work!!! And buy Luisiana a new car. :)
