It was a great place! This was a while ago that I had visited but I recall it being pleasant at the time. More authentic than the other similar place across the street, but I prefer that restaurant for the atmosphere. Also, I remember one issue was that they did not have guacamole the day we went, which was an unfortunate disappointment.

I went to las lomas with some friends of mine last night. We came into the restaurant around 7:00, found some seats, and waited to order. They gave us some decent chips and salsa, but nothing super special. After we ordered, it took nearly an hour to make everything. We were almost about to leave when they finally got us our food. Unfortunately, the food was average, nothing to justify the long waiting times. I don’t think I will return to Las Lomas. The average food at an average price was not worth the ridiculously long wait especially when there are so many other Mexican restaurants in Hammonton.

My husband and I love this place. Get the same thing all the time. Shrimp fajitas with pineapple added. Pico de gallo is the best I’ve ever tasted. Made with cabbage. The guacamole is perfect and creamy. Not salty like most places. Green sauce with chips yum. Bring your own beer or wine. I like watching the one cook keep his cool while filling orders. The place is small. Kind of warm but there are 2 tables outside if uncomfortable. On Friday night very busy. Lots of take outs and dine in. We usually go on a Sunday and not bad. They are closed Monday’s.

Needed a quick«Mexican» bite to eat and Unilocaled to find this place was highly rated. This is a small BYOB place just 4 or five tables plus a long dry bar. There is only one cook so if four parties arrive at same time, you will wait a few before you get served. Atmosphere is bland, music playing, chips and salsa offered. Food– holy Mexican bandidos batman the food was really good. Not likely to return though for dinner. This is a great local lunch stop

We absolutely love Los Lomas! Don’t get me wrong, this is not a 5 star restaurant that you that need to wear a collared shirt. This is an authentic fresh Mexican grill with amazing food at $ 10 a plate and BYOB. They will gladly keep your beverages in the ice box. Perfect stop on the way thru Hammonton to or from the shore. You can sit at the counter or one of about 10 small tables. The waitress pleasantly greets folks walking in, telling them to sit any place in either English or Spanish based on her snap assessment. Clientele is 50/50, a wonderful natural melting pot. Some nights the kitchen can get backed up as they do a big takeout business. Luckily they have home made chips and a variety of fresh salsas. The menu is fairly limited(2 pages) but so good and made fresh. I’m partial to the pork tostadas or tacos, Lovely Wife favors shrimp tostadas and dear daughter goes with enchiladas. Treat the sweet tooth to flan for dessert. We always leave full, happy and thinking«could have spent that much at a fast food joint!»

First time here. We ordered the shrimp taco, quesadillas, and bistec burrito. It all tasted great and came quickly. The guacamole was made fresh and had an excellent consistency and subtle garlic taste. They have a variety of salsas: red, green, chipotle and orange. We had the green salsa with the chips before the meal and it had pieces of avocado in it and the orange had a great flavor and subtle spicy kick. The waitress was sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Revisited this little gem a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint. Fast service, friendly servers and good homemade Mexican food. Not a lot of seating but who cares?! The food is yummy!

You would never guess that this unassuming restaurant near the railroad tracks has some of the best, authentic Mexican cuisine. My husband and I used to go there a lot before we had little guys at home. Their tacos are simple, yet superb, and I love their guacamole. The prices were always quite reasonable and the melon juice… oh my… THEMELONJUICE!!! Such a tasty drink.

Been going here on and off for five years, and only off because I don’t live near the area anymore. The food and staff are always on point! Sometimes, the food can be a little bland but that’s the only down side, Price and customer service are great, I really like this place and it usually never lets me down.

Great food, especially for what you pay. Every dish has a little something special about it that elevates las lomas above the crowd. Their fare could easily be served at a formal fancy restaurant, and blend right in. I travel to Hammonton for work, and always look forward to hitting las lomas for fish tacos(especially)!

My fiancé and I are here pretty much weekly now. Can’t get enough of it. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and still love the tortilla soup and spicy pork tacos, but now also love: the enchiladas verdes, the burrito ranchero, the veggie burrito and basically everything.

The family and I had a yummy meal and will definitely go back again. We had Selena who was so nice as our waitress. It was nice to eat outside. We got our chips and salsa right after we sat down. I started a timer on our service after the chips since I read all the comments about how slow the service is. Well, for 3 entrees we got them within 15 minutes of chips. My husband brought beers and Selena immediately asked if we wanted limes for them. Yes, please! I had a great chicken and beef fajita. It was yummy and flavorful. My beef was super tasty and a great cut. It’s the best beef cut I’ve had since eating Mexican here in Hammonton. The homemade tortillas were great, too! My husband was jealous but still satisfied with his chicken fajita. He kept to the chicken because of our lack of success with beef. El Mariachi Loco(around the corner) was the worst. Their beef was dried out and super salty, but I digress. Our son got the chicken tostada. They were nice and left off the hot chipotle sauce for him. Our meal with a glass if milk and a Jarrito came to $ 42 with tip. For us, the reviews were absolutely right on about the food. The service was better than they mentioned.

I rarely eat Mexican food, but was craving a chicken quesadilla after a winery stop yesterday. After consulting Unilocal,my boyfriend and I stopped into Las Lomas. The intimate Hammonton restaurant is next to railroad tracks, and it was neat to watch the trains go by during our meal. Service was a bit slow, but otherwise everything was great. Our server(Selena) was nice and accommodating, prices were crazy cheap and the quesadillas were delicious. My boyfriend also inhaled his burritos. I’d stop in again if in the area!

We had visited the Las Lomas location in Vineland, NJ at the Farmer’s Market and were eager to try the Hammonton location. We entered and found a small tall top table near the front door. After nearly 10 minutes, we were approached by a young waitress who seemed very overwhelmed. She took our order and brought us chips and a guac salsa, both of which were delicious. It took a VERY long time for our food to arrive. We watched several patrons who entered quite some time after we did receive their food while we continued to wait. When our food finally arrived, my DH’s tacos were not correct(he had ordered the chorizo and they came with what I believe was pork). Given the amount of time we had waited, he took the plate to the counter area and showed it to the waitress telling her that they weren’t correct. They rectified it quickly, apologized, and took them off our check. The food is delicious. I had the carne asada-the flank steak was well seasoned and tender, the corn and avocado salad was outstanding. I could have eaten a bowl of that alone. And once the chorizo tacos were delivered, they were declared«worth the wait». We had to eat a bit quickly because we had tickets to a show at the Eagle Theatre around the corner. I would recommend going when you don’t have somewhere else to be! The restaurant itself is small and not fancy at all. But the food and the reasonable prices make it worth the trip. Oh, and it’s BYOB.

Hit or miss. Money is very tight these days so consistency is a huge key for me. If I only get to go out to eat every now and then I don’t want a bad experience. Great Flautas, chips, salsas, tacos, guacamole. Terrible fajitas, the beef was cut the wrong way(with the grain(making it virtually impossible to chew. That was a total turn off. Tried the enchiladas once and was left unimpressed. Service also is hit or miss. Atmosphere is decent. It’s basically a small renovated diner cart type place. Honestly I’ve given all my Mexican food business to Mariachi Loco just around the corner for the reasons mentioned above. But I will say Las Lomas’s Flauta’s are the best I’ve ever had.
