First time at a Jersey winery! My friend and I came on a Sunday afternoon for a wine tasting. We planned it on an afternoon where there was a live band(girl/guy duo) performing. The duo singing were so good and made the afternoon so relaxing and fun! For $ 8, you get to do a wine tasting sampling 6 wines. You’re given a souvenir wine glass and a slip with a listing of all wines. You can choose between a variety of red, white, blush, sangria, and port wines. Note that the sampling must be completed indoors. The Pinot Grigio was good although my friend thought it wasn’t crisp enough. If you like sweet wines, their peach and summer sangria is decent but too sweet for my taste. Their Dry Rose wasn’t bad either. The two that we disliked the most was the Trio and Wicked wines. Smell and taste turned us off. There’s a bunch of tables and chairs set up on their lawn for guests but they fill up quick so be sure to bring lawn chairs as a back up. You can order wine at the table or inside at the counter. Some light snacks and souvenirs are also available for purchase. The ambiance is fantastic on a beautiful day with the live music going. Best part is being allowed to bring your own food/snacks to enjoy at the winery! The wine didn’t suit our taste buds but the ambiance made the day perfect. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely a cool, laid back place to enjoy an afternoon with friends or fam. Be sure to check their website in advance for live bands or special events!

What a stunning view from the patio! Beautiful vines as far as you can see and great wine too! We had an awesome Thursday night with live music at this winery. We had a tasting of 4 different wines and purchased 3 of the 4. Good people all around, staff, customers and musician. I recommend a visit!

This winery was the 2nd stop in my Birthday Winery Crawl and it was awesome! I didn’t like how when we walked right into the door, the girl said«grab your glass and go in there now» as she pointed to the tasting room. Kind of rude, she didn’t even greet us or anything. We were able to try 5 wines here. My favorite was the Criminson Sky. Delicious! The boyfriend LOVED the Wicked one. They also offer cheese plates and had a really cute store. My girlfriend got me the peach sangria so we could sit outside and relax. Loved it here! It was a little hot, but they do have a patio with a tent. They even gave us slices of peaches, mint leaves, and ice. My friends did get some cheeses when they were there. The Brie and Asiago. Both were very tasty. The cheese plates came with grapes, crackers, apples. Very well made.

I’ve always gone to vineyards in PA. But this place is definitely worth a trip. Great atmosphere with an awesome staff! Plus great prices ;)

Nice modern tasting room. Beautiful grounds! You get to see all their grapes, with horses in the distance! I felt like i was in paso robles. Our pourer was very funny and answered every question we had. They have a bit of a fruit fly problem.

Definitely one of the better wineries that NJ has to offer. Even though it is only about 7 years old, they seem to have a pretty good grasp on how to make quality wine, and how to turn a winery experience into a memorable event. Stepping into the smallish but nicely appointed tasting room you are directed to pay for the tasting in advance. You then step up to the bar, where one of a few of the knowledgeable servers will help you. I noticed that as it gets busier, guests are ushered into the tank room where more people can be served. This is a good system, and indicates to me that they must get fairly busy at times. The list is organized from dry to sweeter offerings, this really helps to narrow down your interests. Once again I found that I was more impressed with the white varieties. But there were a few red blends that were good too. I liked the Vidal blanc, Pinot Grigio, both Riesling varieties(these grapes are not grown in NJ) and the biggest surprise was a new variety to me, Vignoles. This is a good choice for those who like a sweeter but not too sweet wine. Yvonne was our server and she was friendly and informative. She also was generous with the pours, which I view as a very positive trait. She explained the case club to us and how great a deal it is. We took advantage of it and enjoyed the savings(even our tasting cost was refunded) If you plan to come here, know that outside food is allowed. There is a really nice outdoor seating area, it is on the highest ground and boasts a great view of the vines. You can sit here, order a glass or bottle(they will even put it on ice) and have a very nice nosh. But if you don’t bring your own eats, you can partake of one of their cheese plates, which for around $ 9 looks very appetizing and satisfying. With several other wineries fairly close, this might be your best choice for ending a multiple winery tour. Maybe even just skip them and spend your time here. The common phrase«you get what you pay for» applies, these bottles are a bit more expensive than their neighbors. With the 20% club discount, the playing field is leveled. My one word of advice to this winery, and 99% of other NJ wineries, is to PLEASE age your juice a bit longer. But really, the NJ wine scene has come a long way. 4.25 Unilocal

My boyfriend and I popped in here upon the recommendation of a friend. The staff was personalable, the wine was delicious, and things were reasonably priced. I’d definitely bring a group back for an event or special occasion. By far one of the most pleasant winery experiences that I’ve had in South Jersey.

The owners are incredibly nice. Excellent, award-winning wines. My wife and I are at Sharrott at least once or twice a month. Live music, outdoor seating, special events, vineyard tours, byo food or select from their cheese plates. Fun!

Came here during the weekday with friend for a tasting. The lady helping us with our tasting(so sorry I already forgot her name!) was so nice, knowledgeable and friendly. They had a nice tented seating area outside. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the lovely view with a new chilled bottle of sangria. Everything was clean and pristine. I really liked their two sangrias and crimson sky. Found my summer drinks! Definitely planning on coming back for another girls outing.

Really fun experience here on a bachelorette wine tour«crawl.» This was our first stop. You pay about $ 10 and the staff picked out tasting tangling from white to dessert wine. They had a good system if you didn’t like the wines where you could easily wash out your glass and pour out your wine. They make am“Wicked” wine which tastes like a smokey chocolate. Too sweet for me but pretty interesting. The workers are knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the Vidal Blanc, and theirs Crimson Sky was decent for a sweet red. I don’t love sweet wines at all. The staff was great. They had a nice out door area for sitting and a clean bathroom. Tasting room was small but they were able to accommodate our large group in a different room. I liked that we were given a checklist where we could make notes of the wines we enjoyed or wanted to buy as we tasted. We were also offered second tastings of wines we enjoyed to be sure.

Thank you, thank you for hosting this awesome wine and music festival this weekend, June 6 – 7. We had a great time and it seemed everyone else did too. The music and food was great and it was a perfect day to boot. Parking was free and we had no problem sampling the wines from 8 wineries after a short wait to the front line. We only wish you had more portapotties, and put some tents out in the middle of the field for people to sit under as the sun was HOT. it was a great day had by all.

Went on Black Friday for a mini winery tour around Atlantic County. I’ll be posting reviews for other local wineries also for comparison. Walked in and weren’t greeted by anyone. Made our way to the register where we were told that for $ 10 or $ 12(forgot which winery had which price) you get to try 6 selections. The other wineries on our tour didn’t limit the tastings. They did have a nice food pairing table. The server was very aloof. She just basically poured the wine without any description and was very rushed. For me the wines are generally too sweet, although I do like the Crimson Sky. Overall the experience wasn’t a good one; limited selection and poor service left me very disappointed.

Its a small place but what they lack in space and style they make up for with great service, attentive servers, and a damn good cheese plate(even if it was just a tad overpriced). The reds were all pretty bland and flat, a couple drinkable ones but I didnt leave buying any. My GF liked their sangria and raves about their peach wine, which she bought 4 bottles(another 3 during our most recent visit during their wine festival). Also loved the Pinot Grigio and bought those too. In the end, thanks to the Living Social deal that brought us here, the 4 of us enjoyed our tasting, our free cheese plate, and $ 15 towards a bottle of wine. We also bought 2 bottles to enjoy on their patio outside(all wrought iron chairs and tables, quite nice). We left with a full case of 12 bottles though they were all sweet or white wines. Being a red drinker I was a bit disappointed but I still enjoyed the overall experience. The wines themselves were reasonably priced especially compared to their quality. They can definately school some of the surrounding local wineries in a taste test. Tomasello gives them a run for their money but the rest in the area fall short. I would say its worth the trip. I gauge worth in time it takes to drive here. I would say they are worth a 1 hour drive. Maybe a 90 minute drive on a really lazy day. Where as it takes me 3+ hours to drive to the finger lakes and Ive done that twice and will do it 10 times more. So use that as a basis to measure the quality here. Hows about this, the Renault Winery near the jersey Shore is 50 minutes from me… I would drive there if they were 20 minutes away. Its a beautiful place but their quality is not much compared to this little vinyard.

Sharrott continues its incredible trend of pairing delicious wines with exceptional customer service. There are very few things as sweet as being welcomed in like long lost family, and Jen brings this experience to life every time we see her! Thank you Sharrott… for everything.

So on Labor Day I opted to get out the house for once since my fiancé and I actually were home together. I seen this Groupon Deal and took my honey out for the afternoon to Sharrott Winery and it was great. Me personally, I enjoy small crowds and quiet time during the day, so going on a holiday was ideal(there were 4 other families/couples present). We walked in the small lobby/checkout/standing bar, but it was very welcoming. The hostess/bartender was great. She was friendly and social and of course knew her wine AND inventory which to me is important. I imagine this goes with all the staff there. With our groupon we recieved cheese and crackers, two wine glasses, and a bottle of our choice… Winter Blends was just amazing first warm wine(I had it cold) i ever heard of! We enjoyed a glass on their covered patio before heading home. Although its smaller than I imagined, my first winery experience was great, I only wish I could have done a tour. My final word… Visit!
