I was at the Atlantic city wine festival last night with my fiancé and a couple friends. We went to the tomasello table to try some some their wines. It was very crowded so we squeezed in at the end of the booth near the register since that was the only place we could all kind of fit. The man that was distributing samples in the flannel print shirt was not the nicest person. We had to get his attention several times to even be acknowledged at all. He would look at us and ignore us and serve someone else. Every time we asked him for a sample he rolled his eyes and poured the tiniest little bit and walked away again. He even told us we had to move a few times even though there wasn’t room anywhere else! The 4 people next to us were getting the best service from him and much respect. There was no need to treat us that way. I will never ever buy your wine tomasello! VALENZANO is hands down the best around! They were awesome and very nice to us.

I had a great time here! Came here with my boyfriend on Valentine’s weekend for the wine and chocolate trail. We got there too early for the actual event, but the guys running the tasting room still entertained us and gave us a regular tasting. They are very knowledgeable about their wines and gave great recommendations based on our taste preferences. They also gave us recommendations and directions for other wineries in the area. They told us that if we bring back our glasses from the winery we can get a free tasting, so we’ll definitely be back!

We went here using Groupon. On the description it said 5 cheeses would be part of the tasting which we never got. Other than that, I’m giving it four stars because the wine was amazing. I bought myself a bottle because it was so good and well-priced.(Had to stop at the nearest grocery store because we were craving cheese the whole time)

We visited while in the area and Mike was able to accomodate us, with our toddler and all. If you purchase a groupon you must make an appointment and they are only honored on Saturdays. We walked in without a reservation and they accomodated us as best as they could which we greatly appreciated! This was an unbelievable deal for $ 25 which included two tastings, a cheese plate, 1 bottle of wine(under $ 20), and glasses. The cheese plate was diverse — nice variety of cheeses, 3 types of crackers and even chocolate! During my tasting I was able to sample the following wines: –Daffodil White –Blackberry –American Almonique –Sparkling Blueberry –Blanc de Blanc Brut –Cranberry –Pomegranate –Blueberry Pomegranate –Atlantic County Vintage Port The whites were very aromatic and the fruit wines very interesting. I usually cannot take the sweet wines but the pomogranate and cranberry were not too sweet and were tangy/tart as well, which i loved! There were so many more wines I wanted to try like their Rose and their specialty spiced wines. They are also a banquet with a beautiful alter in the rear which would work perfectly for a wedding. Mike was gracious enough to sign me up to their gold card club(which they mail to you) and entitles you to receive 20% off your purchase, 25% off wine of the month, advance notice on new releases, and free shipping on atleast 6 bottles of wine to direct ship states. This retails for $ 10.70. Overall, a nice winery with a vast list and outstanding employees who obviously love what they do for a living!

Absolutly a great day to visit tomasello! Service, wine and cheese tray has been delightfully refreshing, with a relax atmosphere and a array of wines at an affordable price

LOVEDITHERE!!! My boyfriend planned a winery crawl for my birthday and this was our last stop. He said he tried calling a few times to set up a tasting for our group but was not able to get a hold of anyone. When we did show up, their staff was more than accommodating. There tastings range from $ 5 — $ 14. It just depends if you want truffles, to keep the wine glass, etc. But I loved it here! There were so many wines to pick from, which is great. They give you a wine glass and 5 drink tickets for samples. The girl who helped us was very suggestive and knew her wine! My favorite was the red raspberry moscato. Delicious!!!

Fun time here on a bachelorette party wine tour. The workers were happy to help us. They offered cheese, crackers, and grape as well as buckets to use if you disliked your wine. The winery used the ticket system. The sparkling wines made here and the bolder style reds really stood out to me. I tried a blueberry moscato that would be a good addition to a wine cocktail or spritzer. I tried a Rkatsielli style white wine which I think is a style of wine from the country of Georgia. I really liked this style. Staff was super friendly and the only think I didn’t like was the ticket system.

This is the 2nd oldest winery in the state and the highest production winery in New Jersey. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable at the large selection of wines. They offer over 40 different kinds of wines. I’m a huge fan of the quality of Tomasello wines such as the vintage port, ice wine, blueberry wine, raspberry wine, syrah and cabs. If you are ever in south jersey tasting wine, this winery should be #1 on your list… no matter what some of these other negative reviews have said. Some people just don’t know how to even judge a good wine.

Dishonest business practices! We were originally told that a tasting was $ 5, but when I offered to pay for my family of 5, the price was DOUBLED to $ 10 because we were a «large group.» Don’t waste your time here for sub-par wine and bad business practices.

People were very nice. My husband loves wines and wineries, we were visiting family and thought we try this NJ winery. They have a huge selection to taste but nothing tasted like the grapes from Washington or California. Nice little gift shop.

Tomasello’s is a familiar fixture in NJ, their wines have lined shelves since before the boom of wine country hit this coast. They’re very well known for their Cape May Red & White, and its friendly semi sweet flavor. They’re also offering some very nice dry reds & whites which provide more depth and robust flavors. While their brand is well distributed and they do offer multiple tasting room locations, our experience with them at their winery was ‘okay’. The overall feeling was rather flat when we first arrived to an otherwise empty tasting room. The attendant gave us a weak smile and urged us to look at the wine list. After only two tastings, the tasting room was then filled with a vast assembly of people who had arrived on bus. This mob easily overwhelmed the two people working, and our group of three were instantly pinned to a corner — without much regard. I couldn’t help but wonder, if such a tour was making its rounds, why more staff would not have been on hand. It was unfortunate to say the least. When the massive swarm had made its way out of the room, we were given a shrug and light apology followed by a «those buses arrive all the time». We looked at each other with a «Ya don’t say» expression instantly. We decided to skip on a purchase. Try the wine, absolutely.

We love this winery. Our first visit with a groupon for a wine and cheese tasting. It was great and I learned a few things. We stop by often for a free tasting and to purchase a bottle or few using our annual membership offer of 20% discount included with the groupon. I love the sweet wines and the have plenty of options.

I have been to many wineries and this has to be the worse place I have been to. I felt rushed through my tasting. The attendant was rude and not welcoming!!! The wine was not the best either.

I don’t even know where to begin. I live in Loudoun county where wineries are plentiful– while visiting family, I made it a point to visit Tomasello’s. First of all, I was overwhelmed by the selection that they had. I am a huge semi-sweet/sweet wine fan and they certainly can deliver! Nowhere in VA can you find so many fruit wines, let alone a moscato! The best part are their prices– for $ 5.00 you can get a tasting of 5 wines, but if you want an extra, they will give them to you– they understand how hard it is to choose! Oh, and if you take your tasting glass(that they give you as part of the $ 5 fee) you can go to any of their outlet stores and have a FREE tasting anytime. Then, they told me all about their gold club membership. For $ 10 a year(!!!) you get 20% off all wines and they ship free to VA if you buy 6 bottles online… With your discount! You also get free tastings anytime with their gold membership. Needless to say, I will be back many more times. I already love this place for their selection alone– all the perks that come along with it just make it a 10 star place!

Who knew South Jersey was such a wine mecca? Tomasello’s was another great winery i had the pleasure of imbibing at whilst on my journey to drink my way through the NJ wine passport. Unlike most other wineries, Tomasello’s is right on a main drag as opposed to being tucked away in a rural locale. The white edifice is reminiscent of some sort of tuscan winery. Mind you I’ve never been to tuscany, but thats my take. It seems like a lovely place to have weddings or other events. The tasting room was very nice as well. For $ 8 you get five tastes, a souvenir glass, and free tastes for life whenever you bring the glass back. The wine was very delicious and varied in style and flavor. Apparently their cabernet sauvignon reserve is revered throughout the east coast. Great wine, lovely staff and beautiful grounds… all the hallmarks of a fabulous winery!

So I’ve been to Tomasello’s twice the first time I was not a fan of the wine… also when we walked in to taste the man behind the counter gave us the deal on the price ect and at the end he said…“OK pay upfront!” OK sir we weren’t going anywhere… there was only 4 of us there and we weren’t going to escape without paying $ 12(or whatever small amount it was) so at that point my BF had a bad taste in his mouth for the place… well I went back a second time for a Groupon wine seminar and had a great time… only had 1 good wine but a much more enjoyable time… even though I don’t see a need to go back being that there was only one wine I liked and a gazillion SWEETSUPERSWEET wines… if you like sweet wines then this may be the place for you!

This place gets a thumbs up! Used Groupon for the wine tasting with cheese pairing. It was such a great value, and we had a great time! This winery has a great history and everyone was so friendly. For $ 25 we got a wine/cheese pairing for 5 wines, $ 20 off our wine purchases for any bottles we wanted,(2) complimentary glasses to take home, and tastings of any other wines we wanted to try. OH! And… I’m a total weirdo and asked for leftover corks. They let me take a ton of used corks for a little crafty thing I’m working on. All in all, a major win!

My husband and I purchased a tour and tasting on Living Social. Charlie Tomasello gave a wonderful presentation of the history of his family’s winery. The tour was short but interesting and the the pairings were fantastic! After the tasting, they had ALL of their wines out for sampling and purchase. WILLDEFINITELYRETURN!

Nice facility with good attendants. We enjoyed the complimentary tasting, sharing 4 wines. They have a very large selection to choose from which makes it a little difficult. We especially liked the 2008 Cab Sauv and bought a bottle. It passed the acid test a day later when my sister-in-law, who can be critical at times, announced the«this wine is very good». Doesn’t get any better that that …

Aye Aye Aye OK… at this point… there are 8 ladies who have been to 2 winery’s already within the last 2 hours. It should have been easy to keep this happy train rolling… The train came to a complete stop. I didn’t love the service at this venue. We were overlooked, I felt. We weren’t greeted in a warm manner. The Older guy who worked there was really trying and he was helpful. However at this point we were getting sleepy. The wines were interesting and we really appreciated the cheese and cracker platter that was laid out for us. This was another low key tasting but it was just OK. Oh yeah… we corked the heck out of this place… but they didn’t have corks to take with is… which is fine… we decided to pass on the last and final winery we were supposed to go to. Always honest… P
