I feel blessed that my parents sent me to Camp Tel Noar for ten happy summers. My father went there, and my mother went to Camp Pembroke, which is also owned by the Eli and Bessie Cohen Foundation. I made countless memories and formed lifelong friendships there. In fact, this summer I will serve as a bridesmaid for one of my former bunkmates. Camp Tel Noar has so many great activities, almost any child can find one that they excel at. The have several different arts and craft activities, ceramics and painting, for example, as well as every sport under the sun. Wiffleball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, kickball… the list goes on and on. Lake Sunset, the lake that Camp Tel Noar sits on, is one of the cleanest lakes in North America. The waterfront activities include swimming, boating, canoeing, windsurfing, and waterskiing. I truly wish I was still a kid so I could keep going back every summer. There is no better feeling than knowing you have the next two months to do nothing but hang out with your closest friends and play sports in the sun. On the other hand, there is nothing worse than crying outside of your bunk on the last day.
