This friendly neighborhood restaurant is a great place to enjoy the game and chow down on great food. Jebby’s is small but cozy and just right for watching any game on one of the 9 High Def TV’s. Yes, this business is outside of Wilmington but it’s the perfect location if you live in Hampstead and don’t want to venture all the way into town. This local secrete spot is best known for the quality of locally sourced meat, seafood and produce. All the food is made fresh to order. They even grind their own meat to make the perfect hamburger. Unilocalers rave about the fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits.

I was told this place had great hot dogs! I’m always in search of great hot dogs! Well there is not a dog in sight at this joint. However the menu is great! The bar is on point. I ended up trying their she-crab soup. So velvety creamy and loaded with the perfect amount of crab. The crustiest piece of French bread served on the side. So good! Then I followed it up with one of their daily specials. The pulled chicken slider. Soaked in buffalo sauce and served with a slice of dill, a bite of coleslaw and a splash of blue cheese! The chicken wasn’t as tender as I expected, the flavors were there all day long!

As always their food is amazing. Always a great selection of beers and specials. The seafood is always fresh and the crab soup is to die for. One area they could improve on is their initial greeting of customers entering the restaurant. There’s never a way of knowing whether or not you should seat yourself or if you should wait to be seated. This is always a favorite of mine and the family’s when visiting Hampstead!

Just moved here and trying out all the local resturaunts. We came at lunch time and ordered the crab dip, crab soup, the steak and cheese with onion rings and the turkey club with Mac and cheese. I would say all was amazing except for the Mac and cheese… it wasn’t horrible, but it basically just tasted like Velveeta shells and cheese. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were ample! I would definitely recommend and I would definitely come back!

We’ve been here before and enjoyed our meal just like today. The food here has always been great. Our server today was very attentive and enhanced our visit with a good attitude. Overall a great visit. Recommend getting there early for lunch. It is a small venue and fills up fast.

Delicious fresh shrimp/spinach salad. Great service while sitting at the bar alone. Place is super loud, and super small.

Great service, super fast ticket times. Awesome food. I liked the small bar atmosphere. Seems like a well run restaurant and they put a lot of care into taking care of their customers.

Stopped in on our way to the airport in Wilmington. The place doesn’t look like much from the road but it’s worth a trip on its own. Phenomenal new spins on comfort food. Grits are incredible(my favorite part of the meal). Pretty sure you wouldn’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu. We tried the fried green tomatoes, Carolina burger, crab soup, and shrimp and spinach salad; everything was fresh, new, and exciting

Cozy to the point where you wait sometimes for a table. If you like Coastal Southern comfort food, you need to visit.

Always fresh, fast and delicious! Service is great, food is tasty and cooked from scratch. My only complaint is I wish it were a little bigger it can get cramped and very busy at times. That I guess is to be expected when it’s one of the only good places to eat in town! I would recommend Jebby’s on 17 to everyone!

We heard great things from a couple that we are friends with about this place, so when we all went for lunch there was a lot of excitement. Well… the food was not great. The service wasn’t very good, and the place got LOUD as heck as it got busy. Just not a fan and won’t return. Our friends said it was an unusual visit.

Reasonably priced, great food, and super friendly & helpful staff. I had the side salad with pears & spiced pecans and a side of their creamy mac’n cheese. It was great and the waitress was super nice and helpful as we made our decisions. It was a great experience — we’ll be back!

Came in for burgers and a few beers. Food was cold, and not very good at all. The server was super nice and took the food we didn’t eat off our bill. Still, when you come to a place for food and beers and you can’t eat their food its a disappointment. Not sure what the deal is with the place but you’ll hear every sound in the place it’s like a tin can with a bar. Really wanted to like the place but from food to noise to foamy beer it was just a let down.

Was going to go to PT’s for my once weekly cheat meal, since I follow such a strict diet. A colleague suggested I try Jebby’s he said they have great burgers. I got there about 7:30pm all tables were full and waited about ten mins before being seated. The couple who were ahead of us sat down for 3 mins got up and left. We took their table beside some really loud and obnoxious people. It’s a sports bar, I get that. But these folks were loud who were sitting at this table. So I understand why the previous couple left so quickly. I wanted a great cheese burger and a beer so I chose to stay. First server came to the table and asked what we’d like for drinks. I wanted a Mich Light or a regular Michelobe if they didn’t have Light. A second server brought me Ultra. I refuse to drink that sorry beer. Anyway I settled for a Corona. Made our order for the ½ lb burger with fries. Description plainly states all the fixings of your choice is included in the price of 9.85. I wanted all the way with bacon. I ordered my burger med rare and my girl wanted hers medium. What we got was hers med rare and mine medium well without the bacon I ordered. I kept my fries so I could at lease eat something while my girl was eating hers. I asked for some more fries for the one I sent back, I said I would pay for them. I was charged an additional 4.00 for them. On top of the bacon for .80 that was supposed to be included in the price of the burger. I could swear that the bacon was probably cooked a week ago. It was hard and chewy not cooked fresh. Had very little bacon flavor as well. I had ordered another beer and it was brought to me after the server was finished talking to one of her friends at the bar. I was almost finished with my food. When I looked at her in disgust I guess the bell went off in her head and brought me my beer I really didn’t need anymore. My observation is: Service and communication is terrible. Server was very insensitive to our needs, and my gratuity reflected it as I only gave her 5.00 on a 35.00 tab. I would usually give 10.00. The remade burger had really good flavor if you set aside the fact that the bacon should have been cooked at least earlier in the he day. Fries were pretty good as well, although not worth the extra 4 dollars for the kitchen’s screw up. These people could care less how their customers feel or concerned that we enjoyed our meal. By the time I left it was 8:55 and beginning to clear out. You mileage may vary with this place. As for me, I most likely will never go back.

First: We are northerners in love with southerners’ food. I say that because we don’t always know exactly what we are ordering, but we always dive in anyways and on our last trip to visit our son we put Jebby’s on our ‘gotta try’ list — here’s how it went… 1) Clearly a local place. Walked into a one room bar/restaurant establishment that was fairly busy on a Thursday night. Everyone was clearly enjoying themselves and it felt very friendly and inviting. 2) Fried green tomatoes and she crab soup for me. Both were excellent. Actually, the she crab was spectacular. Seriously. 3) Hubby had a braised pork dish over a bed of rice and peas. Note: peas were not green, but rather black — eyed(there’s a north/south thing happening here folks… our peas are always green — yes always — so it was a surprise). Hubby said his meal was fabulous and I must say it looked great, too. We will definitely go back when we are next in town. Loved it! Thanks Jebby’s!

This place is really good. There burgers are fresh made and you can taste that. Try a burger when you go in
