My wife and I live in Massachusetts, and have been shopping for a used SUV. We isolated our shopping to Acura MDX’s, and in early Sept 2014, came across one advertised in Craigslist. It was competitively priced so made the trek to NH and test drove it. Found the owner(Craig) and his right hand guy(Bill Woods) to be honest and straightforward. We continued shopping, and Craig called to let me know that they were replacing the timing belt/water pump — and after another week, we decided to buy it. In the interim, they also called back to say they still needed to replace a ball joint on one side; an unnecessary inconvenience given they had the car for a few weeks, but it also demonstrated their focus to do the right thing(vs. not repairing and hoping the issues would not be found out till later). They were then willing to fix a few minor things that came out from a local mechanic that I took the car to to be assessed.(took it to All Japanese Auto Repair in Sandown — highly recommend — and a must given buying in NH means you typically buy as-is). Miers is a small place, they stock several used trucks and a handful of cars at a time, but do appear to focus on higher quality items. They also include a 30 day power train warranty, but that is limited to parts only… unless they decide to go beyond that.
