Owned by the folks who bring you back bar? Place is OK — but… I think if you go ¼ mike east you’ll find CorJ’s. Here the fish is cut right in front of your eyes fresh from the sea. What could be better than that!

An embarrasement to Hampton Bays, Cor’ J’s, the seafood community, local fisherman, I could go on and on. I was excited to bring a friend here, bragged about the fresh market, great seafood, can’t go wrong as everything is so fresh and cooked to order. WHATTHEHECKHAPPENEDTULLYS? Fried shrimp that I’m pretty sure were breaded and fried on the other side of the planet then refried here, same with the scallops. DREADFUL. Possibly, maybe, the flounder was from nearby. But doubtful, more than likely Van de Kamps or another delivered Sysco product.(actually both those brands are better than what Tully’s is pushing) Do yourself a favor, hit up the Friendly’s down the street, sure, thats terrible too, but at least you know what to expect and its a quarter of the price. Worst I have ever had. Total rip off. Oh wait, the tartar sauce was good, so buy yourself some of that. RUNTOURISTSRUN– DON’T LOOKBACK

Really disappointed in what was promised as fresh, delicious and a one of a kind seafood market/takeaway restaurant. Seems like neither. Overly breaded, overly fried and definitely overpriced. A couple of shrimp(really more like krill), some scallops(which were frankly unrecognizable as such) and a teensy tiny filet of flounder with some soggy fries for nearly twenty bucks?! Sorry, but Long John Silvers doesn’t miss the mark nearly as much as Tully’s.

Best fried clams I’ve ever had. They were huge and delicious. Hubby had clams on the ½ shell and said they were fresh, nice & cold and tasty. Perfect stop off post beach. Window service a bit slow but friendly.

Had clams on the half shell. Need someone who knows how to shuck a clam. Nothing worse than shells in your clams! Also ordered a bucket of steamers. Well, they were out of steamers, so a bucket of steamed clams had to do.

I originally put my review at 4 stars, but changed it due to the fact that their service is slow today and not spot on. This is my first time I ever had a not so great experience so I will give it 3 stars. But, I have been here many times and would easily rate it 4 or more. Tully’s is a great local place to get some delicious seafood on your way to or from the Ponquogue beach. There food is served causal style out on their deck. They have a variety of seafood. I love the softshell crabs when they have them, as well as their steamers! Always a delicious stop.

This review is for the new owners of Tullys. Dudes. Why mess with something good? I don’t want a «Lobster salad» with fillers and mayo. I don’t care if it costs more, I want a Lobster Roll with only lobster thankyouverymuch #notcomingback #goingelsewherenexttime

I used to live locally and had been here several times but was recently in town vacationing and stopped in for some fresh fish to grill. The person helping me was very rude and not very helpful. It was late in the afternoon and there was very little selection and instead of telling me what was available I had to continue to guess and then be told no where out of that too. I eventually ended up with a few Lunda of cod and it wasn’t that good. Two days later my family and I were at the beach and they insisted we go there and get lunch. Again the service was rude and not very helpful and the food again was so so. Next time I’ll go to COR-J.

Coming here on a sunny Sunday, after relaxing at the beach nearby, eating seafood at Tully’s outside was wonderful. I always prefer to eat seafood near the water because it seems to taste more fresh… and the fish here is all caught by local fisherman which made for a perfect meal. I got the clam chowder which is great– it had lots of large clam chunks and was not overly creamy. My friend got the lobster roll which I tried– this was SO good and I definitely should have ordered it… I was a little wary because of the $ 22 price tag but it is a very large roll and absolutely worth the price. Our other friend got the seafood platter which looked delicious and came with oysters, lobster, clams and shrimp I believe.

i was so disturbed by my last visit here in early spring and have been meaning to write ever since. Everything was so, so different and not for the better. On average, I probably patronize Tully’s 12 times during the spring/summer season. I am not sure that will be the case anymore. My mom ordered the fried clams and fries –the fries were dry and tasteless but the clams were quite literally huge perfect rectangles — the size of giant crayons, obviously straight from a frozen bag and a totally unnatural shape. I can’t even imagine a clam they could have gotten this from. In fairness, the fried flounder my husband got was good. My oysters– and I live for oysters– were fine and fresh but sloppily shucked, broken pieces of shell left in them and not detached from the shell. It was really the clams that were inexcusable. It was straight out of the Gorton’s Frozen box. I have been coming to Tully’s since I was a baby and the fact that it seems to be under new ownership(I am guessing since I can’t understand the drastic change any other way) that is not paying attention to details and quality is heartbreaking to me. This place has a loyal following of locals, summer owners and tourists. They deserve better. This is not nostalgia talking either — the food just didn’t compare. Please return to the old menu and whatever they used to do to make the food good and service friendly. I would love nothing more than to come back here and have a good experience yet again. Until then I am devastated.

Went from Best to WORST in one season. New owner appears only interested in money. Not at all interested in providing good food or a fair value. Everything is now made form frozen fish or shrimp. Fried clams are the same as you buy from the freezer in the supermarket, same for the fried shrimp. Tourists will go there because they don’t know better. Too bad!

I was there in June(beginning of summer) and it was bad. I just looked at the reviews for July and August and I am not shocked to see everyone is mimicking my review from June. I like to see that! What is the owner thinking when he sees all these reviews saying the same thing? «Place is not the same, food not what it used to be, new owners drove this place in the ground»

Came on a Wednesday for lunch and I take back all the positive things I said about the food. What a waste of $ 42 for a seviche that was dominated by chunks of dark filets in a thick tasteless sauce and lobster roll on a stale potato hot dog bun. What a disappointment.

This place has no business selling $ 22 lobster rolls. This was by far the worst in the area that I have had. The lobster salad was served on a thick stale, bun. A bun which you may see from a fair or carnival with sausage and peppers jammed inside. The meat of the roll was mediocre at best — limited amounts of lobster with a lot of celery filler and not nearly enough seasoning. The rest of their menu is fine — average. Nothing that hit it home for me. The ceviche portion is massive, with lots of scallops, white fish, mussels and clams floating around in coconut and lime. It’s served with heavily seasoned crackers that overpowered the delicate flavor of the fish. The clam chowder was also okay, creamy without being overly thickened however wasn’t brimming with clams as I had hoped. Outdoor seating is picnic tables under shaded areas — good for groups and kids and also protected enough in case of rain. I had reservations about hitting up this spot based on previous reviews that stated what we found to be true, but thought… how bad could it be, really?(And Canal Café, who is doing«the best» lobster roll in the Bays was closed on Tuesday). I guess the benefit is that Tully’s is located right outside of ponquogue beach, so beach goers hungry for a quick bite don’t have to go far. Just beware the lobster roll and set your expectations! The menu has burgers, fries, salads and many other seafood items available.

Had no where else to eat last weekend and did not want to go here but my parents insisted. I remember a couple of years ago it was bad. Double bad now by 100 times 2 years later. This was like eating old frozen fried fish sticks pounded down super thin. The portion of the fried flounder was much bigger than I remember but this is another case of quantity over quality. The fish does not even deserve one star. The fries were blah. There was nobody there– which makes me wonder that others know how downhill it has gone. Also had a small cup of the gumbo– think it was gumbo– this tasted fine, though tasted too much of smoked sausage and was about 5 spoonfuls for a very high price. Let’s end on a high note Counter service was very nice/friendly!

Hampton Bay’s resident here. I’m very sad to say the new owners have changed this place beyond recognition. The lobster roll is no longer hot with remoulade and now is just like every other lobster roll around: lobster salad. PLUS they jacked up the prices to $ 22AND took away fries. Fries are now an extra $ 2. Not to mention the amazing sweet potato fries are gone. The worst part of it all is we asked to leave a suggestion for the owners to bring these things back. A worker said there is no point. Several employees have tried to tell the new owner that they have received complaints about these very things and he flat out said he didn’t care. What owner doesn’t care about what their customers want? Needless to say, we won’t be going back. My entire family(immediate and extended) is pretty bummed about the whole thing.

Long Islander here, born and raised. Don’t let the San Francisco fool you. A roadside stop for pretty impressive casual seafood. You can sit at one of the few outdoor tables to eat or take it to go to eat on the county(public) beach a short drive away. We got fried clams with fries, a small New England clam chowder, and a shrimp bisque. We were really tempted by almost all of the menu, really, as well as by the fresh seafood and homemade side salads(slaws, noodles, fish spreads) for sale. I loved the clams. Too often, fried clams are little more than crunchy greasy shoelaces. Not these. These were meaty with an almost malty batter. The shame is that, since we got ours to go, the clam strips and fries were loaded into a styrofoam clamshell container which steamed them more than a little – the clams survived 5 minutes in this environment much better than the fries. If you’re getting fried seafood, get it to eat in. The clam chowder was a relief. I’ve had a lot… no, really A LOT of New England clam chowders and hate it when bacon or butter or flour glop dominates the clam flavor, or when there’s too little clam. Tully’s clam chowder was excellent, and decently priced for the portion. We were also given oyster crackers *for days*. The shrimp bisque was everything a bisque should be, but not worth the about double price over the clam chowders. There was a generous layer of(I believe) cognac flavor, smooth buttery vegetable reduction in the sauce, and enough shrimp pieces to make it feel substantial. But, for the value, the clam chowder was king. The nice woman working there said they were under new owners. I never experienced the old management, but things are looking good for the new management!

Tully’s is the no nonsense and unpretentious place to go for seafood when in the Hamptons. I time my arrival out east to coincide with lunch making Tully’s my first stop. everything is fresh. They have great lobster rolls and a variety of shellfish served on the half shell. I’m partial to their hotdogs(which tend to change year over year from boiled to grilled and then back again) and soups. Imagine nice size and juicy morsels of lobster meat in the lobster bisque soup! You can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu and wash it all down with some local Southampton Publik brewed beer.

I love going to Tully’s after a day in The Hampton Bays on the beach. What’s better than that. Fresh seafood, lobster, mussels, drinks. How can you go wrong and guess what it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Keep rocking Tully’s

I went there with my family for a quick snack and ended up staying for lunch. They have nice outdoor seating and almost no traffic on the road. I had the lobster stuffed with crab(very fresh and tasty). We also had salmon, clam chowder and flounder. Everything was cooked perfect and very tasty. You need to order your food at the market and they will serve it for you outside. I would recommend this place anytime.
