This cinema is the definition of luxury movie viewing. The food is fancy and the theater seats are large and comfortable. It’s pretty pricey, so it’s something I would reserve for special movie occasions. I had a great time lounging back and watching my movie here in the theater. I ordered the mac & cheese as I always do with any new restaurant. It was so creamy and cheesy and delicious! I never realized before I went to CineBistro that they had activities other than watching movies. They have a nice bar area, pool tables, and even a fairly big bowling alley. I enjoyed getting to explore while we waited to be seated. I’m going to wait for a kind of a special occasion, but I would definitely come back.

I have had many good experiences here with little to no issues. I do want to advise you to purchase food and drinks at the concession window NOT in the theater, this way you avoid the high gratuity that is automatically included. They will give you a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready… This also takes away the worry about arriving 30 minutes early, as you can order anytime.

I’m from out of town and came down to VA to visit and decided to go see a movie and my sister introduced me to Cinebistro. Although the movie that we watched sucked, it was a nice theater with comfortable seats. The movie tickets were the average price for a movie ticket. The customer service was great and the food came out fast and was fresh, hot and delicious!

Love the place! Eat and watch a movie same time with a lot of space! Their foods are okay but I love their drinks! I had a Pirate of Caribbean that was so good. The place has a pool table and bowling alley too. The bowling alley has a DJ and plays hip hop so it seems like so much fun than regular bowling alley. I would like to try it next time.

Update the food. You can get the same food with better taste and cheaper at the bar down the road. The prices are crazy expensive. Staff is great even mentioned the price to the staff and they agreed it was expensive. Sit at bar waiting on movie my wife ordered a sangria and I had a glass of wine 27.29 add tip 30.00. Ridiculous

This movie theater is over rated. I have been at least 10 times and 7 out of the 10 something goes wrong, either our order is wrong, the movie or sound is broke or the customer service is bad. I should have learned my lesson long ago but it’s just so close. I would rather eat before or after the movie and stick a drink in my purse! Lol over-priced, busted seats, mediocre food and specialty drinks are weak and over sweetened for the price. Nothing about this place has enhanced my movie going experience. The bowling is cool and pretty fun and last time I went the DJ was good! The bowling alley earned them the 3rd star. Oh and the bathrooms are nice, ha!

On Valentine’s weekend we sat at the bar for 30 minutes and were never served. We also never saw a bar tender. Another couple was at the bar wth drinks so they weren’t closed. This was 6pm on a Friday night. The theatre servers are great though.

Went into CineBistro for my Grandsons Birthday Party sponsored by my daughter. This was my first time being there so I was pretty excited not only about the party, but CineBistro itself. The place is very upscale, very hip environment, great lighting, bowling alley, pool room and luxury bar. The party went off with a BANG! We bowled and had a good time. My wife, myself and my other daughter decided to have a drink so we went to the bar and set at the bar. A couple was already there and they appeared to be waiting for their drinks. I notice a bartender behind the bar preparing drinks for I guess for the waiters taking drinks to the bowling alley. She never even acknowledged us. I mean she did not even look up. I ask the couple who was already there had they ordered, they said yes. We waited almost 20 minutes before we left. Immagine, not even coming over to take our order or even say hi. We were in the bowling alley for the party. I was thirsty so I ordered a Sprite — I received about 30 minutes later and this is even after I inquired about it. Waiters told me that he forgot about it. I concluded that service here was bad. After receiving my sprite the waiter did give me feel refills for taking so long to bring the initial drink. Would love to give higher reviews but this service was just bad. Ill give them another chance because service can’t be this bad. Oh, if you go to have dinner with the movie, arrive at least about 30 mins before your movie begins.

This is the 2nd time I’ve been to this location, and it was not nearly as enjoyable as the first. The servers were not nearly as kind the second time around, and we’re not as clean. Particularly, there was a server who served as with a bad habit — he was constantly licking his mustache. Pretty unappetizing when you’re getting your food. The screen and audio in our theatre were ok, but there was a crack in the top right of the screen. I’m pretty disappointed with this experience and doubt I’ll be coming back.

Yesterday was our first time visiting a CineBistro so we were super excited about the experience. You are told to arrive half an hour early, we arrived an hour early, so that the servers can take your order so that food is handed out to you BEFORE the previews. Well, apparently they were short staffed and our row and half of another(Full G row and half of F) did not even have our orders taken UNTIL the middle of the previews. All of the other rows had their orders taken AND were already eating or almost completed eating. We finally received our food during the first 5 – 10 minutes of the showing. The theater was completely dark so it made it VERY difficult to eat the pasta that I ordered. The manager apologized for them being short staffed but really did not seem to care that our experience was not how it should have been. The ambiance was great, more upscale than most places. Seats were very comfortable and it was very clean inside the theater. They charge an automatic 17.5% gratuity on anything you order. Should be waived when their job is not done properly. We will probably visit one more time to see if we can have a better experience.

This is my very first time at Cinebistro(okay second, but I didn’t count buying tickets as my first). Btw, just purchasing out tickets was fun to do. I believe Trent helped us out and he was super helpful in advice for what seats to take. Anyways, Alicia took our orders and gave us a rundown of how everything worked. My husband and I ordered the sirloin(medium-well) which came with mashed potatoes and bacon greens. The steak was perfect and super juicy. The mashed potatoes were good, but maybe a little too heavy on the garlic. And I loved the bacon greens. Everything was enough to fill me up throughout the movie, maybe I could’ve used a cheesecake, but I was being good haha. The servers are all quick and focused on what they’re doing, while also providing amazing customer service. Last call for food and drinks end just before previews begin. After that you have to go outside to the concessions stand just like any other theater. Cinebistro not only offers movies, but a full bar, a bowling alley, and a billiards room complete with one shuffleboard table. Adults ONLY after 8pm, yes! Prices are the same, you’d really expect that you’d have to pay more. My husband and I came in and purchased tickets days in advance for a Sunday Deadpool showing and with military discount it was $ 7.50! Our food came out to $ 52(gratuity is included). Honestly something we’d probably pay for a nice meal before or after a movie anyways. I think we’ll be watching a lot of movies here in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and it was a fun experience!

They are not clear with their communication, very unorganized, and no management. They don’t think about the customers needs. I went there for my friend’s birthday celebration. We were told we were not going to be able to bowl because all lanes were reserved till midnight. We got there are 7:30pm on a Saturday. Apparently after 8 it turns to a 21 and over area which is alright, but the website is the only place they posted the information. Luckily my group and I were over 21. Well my group asked the same guy that told us about no availability, he tells us hour later there may be a lane opening at 8:30pm. We get excited we may have a chance to do what we came for. Then he tells us that we can only have an hour and we will have to bowl only with 5 people on that one lane. We have 13 people that are waiting around for nothing but moral support. They didnt have almost any shoe sizes left and they were just giving us anything they had. Now we are bowling only with 5 people. I noticed the lane next to us was open and no one was using it, it didn’t say out of order or anything. I told you this guy said they whole place is booked up. We finally start getting our stuff to leave around 9:45pm and there was barely anybody in this place beside a big group 3 lanes over from us. So idk if booked up means the same thing to them as I thought. So I think they really didn’t want to let us bowl because we didn’t have a reservation. Plus they charge $ 40 per lane. Not per person per game like the usual bowling alleys. I would think that is good for people that have big families or something, but not for people that were all friends just trying to pay for our own part.

My first experience at Cinebistro this past weekend(1÷30÷16) was not what I was expecting. I planned to bowl and eat dinner with a group of friends. I called multiple times before my visit to get all the information I needed so there

My first experience with this place and I know that it is not a place I would ever go back to. My husband and I purchased tickets for 11:00pm this evening(29Jan16) and when we got there, we were told we could not come in, because we were under 21. Seriously? We paid to see a movie and we’re basically told to suck it but the usher at the top of the stairs. He was also very condescending when he asked to see our IDs. When he looked at my husbands, he scoffed and said«does that say 1995?» like how DARE we think we were allowed at this establishment. Apparently, even if you are going to pay for tickets to see a movie at this theatre that is 21 and over(no advertisement to let you know that), you’re the fool for not being over 21. The only vibe I got from this place, is that people will dress up so they can go act like fools at a theatre. This is not somewhere I would recommend to anyone I know.

High quality dinner and a movie. Wish this was closer but it was worth the drive for a random date night during the week. The burger I had was well made, nice and juicy to perfection while the crab dip was to die for. I will definitely come back again and check out the peninsula town center while I wait for my movie. Customer service was definitely up to my standards and I look forward to coming back again.

As a first time customer, I was absolutely shocked at how horrible the customers service was at Cinebistro. The place looks nice and fun but really it all comes down to the service. When there are 1 or 2 things that don’t go well and it is resolved that is forgivable. This was not the case. I am about to list all the mistakes. Dont wanna call this unlucky but it was bad. First, our server forgot to put in an order after waiting for over 30 minutes to find out they indeed did forget. Secondly, someone asked for coffee and they didn’t bring it after discovering yet again that they turned off the machine. Never refilled waters. Inconsistent with ordering our food. On and on and on.

I give this three stars only for adopting the concept. I have been to several of these dinner and drinks theaters and I love them –generally. The more successful ventures have built a theater with seating that allows for service during the show. Here they seem to have adapted an existing structure and therefore they don’t serve during the show. Which is good because they’d be in three way of the movie. Still that’s a down check. The menu seemed decent and the staff was very nice. However they had four people seating and delivering food while one spoke with customers. That’s lopsided and leaves people waiting a long time. Strike two. The final thing that took away rating points was the fact that the first three craft brews that I ask for in the beer card were not in stock. Strike three.

It’s been a while since my first visit to this theater but when Groupon posted a voucher I couldn’t resist coming back. The entire building is beautifully designed. I love how chic everything is, especially the bathrooms. The seats are lush, big and comfy. I like choosing my seat and not feeling like I have to make a mad dash to get s good spot. The menu is typical with drink options but in my opinion everything is grossly overpriced. 2 waiters passed us a number of times and we ended up going to the window to order our drinks. At the end of the movie we were greated with chocolate mints which was a nice touch. Overall it’s a great place to luxuriate while watching a movie, but you will pay handsomely for your experience.

Oh how we loved getting that Groupon deal! Only $ 11 for two tickets! Woop! When my boyfriend called and said let’s go check out that horror flick at Cinebistro, I was ready to ride! We decided to see The Gallows on a Monday night at 8 p.m. When we arrived, we were certain to get their early and we had absolutely no problems checking in. We placed our order and tried to relax as we waited for the movie to began. We immediately noticed there were two loud couples a few rows above us. I turned around and noticed they had quite a few drinks on hand… I guess that explains their behavior. Anyway, we laughed about how loud and silly they were but we both agreed that they had better be respectful and quiet during the movie. We didn’t have to wait long for our order. It arrived in time for the movie to begin. We were very excited to see this horror flick, we were on the edge of our seats and then all of a sudden, the loud couple behind us began with their ridiculous outbursts. It went on a few times and I really did not feel like getting up out of my seat to seek assistance from an attendant, so I yelled out for them to be quiet and my boyfriend did the same and asked that they be respectful to everyone who was trying to enjoy the movie. They did not respond and thankfully they remained quiet throughout the rest of the movie. The Gallows was very corny, however it did capture our attention long enough for us to remain for its entirety. It wasn’t the scary movie we had hoped for but we had a good time aside from having to deal with those rowdy folks above us.

Watched«Jurassic World» with my husband at CineBistro a few weeks ago. This was our first time at this theatre & we were trying to take advantage of our Groupon tickets before the baby comes. We were in awe of how big CineBistro was… It’s like a waaaaaay better version of FunScape(for those of you who remember that place, haha). When we got to the ticket counter, the very nice woman selling tickets noticed that I was with child & told us she would be seating us in the handicap section(see my tip for this venue). She hooked us up with two of the best seats in the theatre! We had plenty of room around us & it was easy for me to make my way to restroom during the movie. The food, while overpriced, was still pretty good. Hubs got steak(big surprise) and I tried the shrimp pasta dish(very tasty). We split the bread pudding… Soooo good. I will definitely order that the next time we go there! We had such a great time… Had to knock off a star because the food was expensive! But we will definitely be back!

My husband and I love coming here to see a movie. It is updated and always clean. The food surprisingly has always been pretty tasty. The chairs are spacious and comfortable. However I do wish that they reclined. I love that I am able to pick my seats on the computer screen before the movie starts. I must give it 3 stars because my most recent experience was not the greatest. We arrived early to our movie so decided to order dessert at the bar. Unlike the in-dining service, the bar does not automatically add gratuity. The bartender put in our dessert order and gave us a pager to come pick them up when it was ready. We still added her a tip, although she did not do much for us. Three days later, I noticed in my bank account statement that she had totally disregarded what we had tipped her on the credit card receipt and added an extra tip for herself! We called the manager and he was able to comp us for that mistake. Still, beware of your receipts!

We ventured across the water since we had a groupon to use for this place and we figured it’s a great chance to see what the Peninsula has to offer. We pull up to Peninsula Town Center where this movie theater is at and it is pretty packed for a Saturday night. We ended up parking closer to Target, but there are parking spots in the other anchor stores as well as street parking. We arrive at the theater and pick our seats for the movie. We ended up going for a later time since there was a better selection of seats. They gave us these nice big tickets, which I love since I happen to collect my movie tickets. We were told seating would occur about 30 minutes before showtime. We show up and decide to hit the concession stand since we were just getting popcorn. Glad we did since everybody else inside was ordering some food and that process can take time. Food ordering only happens before the movie starts and served around the time the movies begins. If you happen to want something, you just gotta hit the concession stand and order it yourself. The seats are reserved when you buy the ticket and it really gears towards couple since the seating is paired off. The seats are leather and comes with those rotating tables(reminds me of a school desk). The bummer is that they don’t recline, but still nicer than the typical movie theater seat. You gotta watch your money when you spend here since if you order dinner — you easily spend about $ 80 per couple. We opted to eat ahead of time since there are plenty of restaurants around, but it’s really all what you are into. The popcorn is definitely worth it since you get complimentary refills all for $ 8. Oh yeah, you can treat yourself to an alcoholic drink while you watch too. I wish they had a CineBistro closer to home for me, but it’s nice to venture out a bit to see what else is out there.

I am a big fan of Cinebistro! I have been going here for years! Occasionally you will see a Groupon for B1G1 and it’s awesome. For special(and goofy) movies like Magic Mike, I’ve arranged ladies nights both times for fun nights out. You can pre-purchase tickets and pick seating and not have to worry about«bad» seats. Not many«bad» seats in this joint though. I have not bowled here, been to the bar much or done the other things that Cinebistro offers — just the movies. My experiences here have been a clean theatre and eating space, great service(tip is automatic… deal with it, this isn’t Cinema Café) and the food is usually very, very good. And to clarify — yes you can remove the tip but why would you? Maybe if you’re a jerk. I’ve never had bad service and there’s been one time in my life I didn’t tip and it wasn’t here. If you want the option of being cheap then stay at home. This place isn’t cheap. It’s about $ 15 per person for food and soda and they bring it to you. If you don’t want to tip someone for their service then go get it yourself. I’ll never understand why people go out and spend a lot but screw the servers. They make maybe 2.13 an hour. Shame. Anyway– I say usually because I have had a couple of miss meals so I’m reserving the extra star. I have found the best time to go is the movie showing when they first open for the day. Everything is fresh, hot and it’s like calling someone on a Monday vs. a Friday — you’re getting a better plate of food. I wish it was like that all the time but I find the busier and crazier they are, things start to slack. Which would be okay at say, Cinema Café where you’re not paying a lot of money — but for the price — it needs to be 150% all the time. Bathrooms have always been clean. Very nice place to go on a date — seats are super comfy(a close second is Paragon which reclines) and my favorite meal is the quesadilla when it’s fresh. Desserts are yummy but small portions for the price. Everything is delivered at once — drink, entrée and dessert as to not interrupt during the movie. The drinks are HUGE and if you need a refill after the movie starts, you’re welcome to walk a short distance outside and they will refill it for you. You can buy tickets on Fandango as well or go to the Box Office and save. They have a STRICT under 18 policy which I found out the hard way one time as I had to send my daughter home for a movie we pre-purchased. They ID at the door. Also they are not open until the first movie of the day begins. So if you’re looking to buy tickets or go for whatever reason, make sure a movie is playing or the doors will be locked. Ruined a lunch hour that way. Enjoy.
